1. What’s the meaning of your English name? The name King may sound a bit aggressive, I hope it won’t make you feel uncomfortable. As a matter of fact, I chose the name King simply because it sounds like my Chinese name Jing. But, there is also a hidden meaning in it, that is, I wish to conquer diseases like a King!2. What’s the meaning of your email address? Neverlazy? Oh, I want to encourage myself never to be lazy! You know I am a hardworking person. So, it’s my slogan!3. Where are you from? Where is your hometown? Well, my hometown is a small town which you probably have never heard of. The name of the town is Dehui, which means “good moral” in Chinese. The town is located in the middle of China’s Northeast. When you look at the map, it looks like the eye of the rooster. You know, China looks like a rooster on the map, and the Northeast region looks just like the head of the rooster. My hometown “Good Moral Town” is unknown to most people because it’s quite poor. The average income for a family is less than one thousand RMB per month. 4. Why did you select your major area of study? I selected Business English as I was quite good at English back in high school. Apart from this, my high school teachers recommended that I select a major related to business, since I showed some good qualities for business management at a young age. So, I chose this major, business plus English, two in one, hehe.5. What subjects were your favorite? Why? I like the subjects that include lots of experiments, for example, CAD and Circuit Design. Iguess it’s partly because I am good with my hands, and doing experiments gives me a chance to learn in a creative way.6. What subjects were your least favorite? Why? I found Macroeconomics and Microeconomics disappointing as well, for the reason that their information fell behind the times. For example, the exchange rate between RMB and USD stilled remained 8.3 : 1 in the text! You can imagine how disappointed we were. So I spent more time listening to the lectures on economics organized by the Student Union.7. Other than the courses you studied, what is the most important thing you learned from your college experience? My biggest achievement in my college life, I think, is that I have learnt to make choices. You know, there are various activities and part time jobs on campus, each sounds attractive. I’ve carefully chosen some of them which can help to achieve my long term career goal. I am one of the three customer service officers, with the responsibility of order taking, tracking and general customer service roles. Due to the limited number of staff, we all work more than 10 hours a day, 7 days a week in busy season.10. Would you describe your typical working day?

1. Tell me about yourself.

I was born in Beijing.""I like to play computer games.""I have two brothers."

Driving is my hobby. I really love the feeling of running on the road and I take cars as my best friends."

2. What are your three greatest strengths? I am really organized punctual and get along well with others."

I think my three strongest strengths are that I am detail-oriented patient and cautious." I think my strongest strengths are that I am aggressive hard-working and communicative."

Let me tell you specifically how I’ve prepared myself. I am an undergraduate student in finance and accounting at _________ University. My past experiences has been in retail and higher education. Both aspects have prepared me well for this career.” Do they want to know about your career so far, about your hobbies or family life? Yes.Thats the type of answer that works best here.Short and positive, showing a benefit to the organization.16.If you had enough money to retire right now, would you?Answer yes if you would. But since you need to work, this is the type of work you prefer.Do not say yes if you do not mean it.17.Have you ever been asked to leave a position? If you have not, say no.If you have, be honest, brief and avoid saying negative things about the people or organization involved.18.EXplain how you would be an asset to this organizationYou should be anXious for this question. It gives you a chance to highlight your best points as they relate to the position being discussed.Give a little advance thought to this relationship.19.Why should we hire you?point out how your assets meet what the organization needs.Do not mention any other candidates to make a comparison.20.Tell me about a suggestion you have madeHave a good one ready.Be sure and use a suggestion that was accepted and was then considered successful. One related to the type of work applied for is a real plus.21.What irritates you about co-workers?This is a trap question.Think real hard but fail to come up with anything that irritates you.A short statement that you seem to get along with folks is great.22.What is your greatest strength?Numerous answers are good, just stay positive.A few good eXamples:Your ability to prioritize, Your problem-solving skills,Your ability to work under pressure, Your ability to focus on projects, Your professional eXpertise, Your leadership skills,Your positive attitude23.Tell me about your dream job.Stay away from a specific job.You cannot win.If you say the job you are contending for is it, you strain credibility. If you say another job is it, you plant the suspicion that youwill be dissatisfied with this position if hired. The best is to stay genetic and say something like: A job where I love the work, like the people, can contribute and can wait to get to work.24.Why do you think you would do well at this job?Give several reasons and include skills, eXperience and interest.25.What are you looking for in a job?26.What kind of person would you refuse to work with?Do not be trivial. It would take disloyalty to the organization, violence or lawbreaking to get you to object.Minor objections willlabel you as a whiner.27.What is more important to you: the money or the work?Money is always important, but the work is the most important. There is no better answer.28.What would your previous supervisor say your strongest point is?There are numerous good possibilities:Loyalty, Energy, positive attitude, Leadership, Team player,EXpertise,Initiative, patience,Hard work,Creativity, problem solver29.Tell me about a problem you had with a supervisorBiggest trap of all. This is a test to see if you will speak ill of your boss.If you fall for it and tell about a problem with a former boss, you may well below the interview right there.Stay positive and develop a poor memory about any trouble with a supervisor.30.What has disappointed you about a job?Don get trivial or negative.Safe areas are few but can include: Not enough of a challenge. You were laid off in a reduction Company did not win a contract, which would have given you more responsibility.31.Tell me about your ability to work under pressure. You may say that you thrive under certain types of pressure.Give an eXample that relates to the type of position applied for.32.Do your skills match this job or another job more closely?probably this one.Do not give fuel to the suspicion that you may want another job more than this one.33.What motivates you to do your best on the job? This is a personal trait that only you can say, but good eXamples are: Challenge, Achievement, Recognition34.Are you willing to work overtime? What are your goals for the future?" or "Where do you see yourself in five years?"Don't discuss your goals for returning to school or having a family, they are not relevant and could knock you out of contention for the job. Rather, you want to connect your answer to the job you are applying for. My long-term goals involve growing with a school where I can continue to learn, take on additional responsibilities, and contribute as much of value as Ican. Also I plan on enhancing my skills and continuing my involvement inprofessional associations.“Tell me about yourself/ How would you describe yourself?”You walk into the interview room, shake hands with your interviewer and sit down with your best interviewing smile on. Guess what their first question is? "Tell me about yourself." Your interviewer is not looking for a 10-minute dissertation here. Instead, offer a razor sharp sentence or two that sets the stage for further discussion and sets you apart from your competitors.Your Unique Selling Proposition (USP)说出你的卖点Give them "your synopsis about you" answer, specifically your Unique Selling Proposition. Known as a personal branding or a value-added statement, the USP is a succinct, one-sentence description of who you are, your biggest strength and the major benefit that a company will derive from this strength. Here is an example of a Unique Selling Proposition: "I'm a seasoned Retail Manager strong in developing training programs and loss prevention techniques that have resulted in revenue savings of over $2.3Million for (employer's name) during the past 11 years."What a difference you've made with this statement. Your interviewer is now sitting forward in her chair giving you her full attention. At this point, you might add the following sentence: "I'd like to discuss how I might be able to do something like that for you." The ball is now back in her court and you have the beginnings of a real discussion and not an interrogation process.“My background to date has been centered aro und preparing myself to become the very best financial consultant I can become. Let me tell you specifically how I've prepared myself. I am an undergraduate student in finance and accounting at_________ University. My past experiences has been in retail and higher education. Both aspects have prepared me well for this career.” Do they want to know about your career so far, about your hobbies or family life? If in doubt, ASK them to clarify what they wish you to talk about. Then give a short factual answer, ending with "is there anything else you'd like to know about me?"* How would you describe yourself? Try to think about what the interviewers are looking for and keep this in mind as you answer interview questions. Remember the job advert? Were they looking for initiative, a good communicator, someone with good attention to detail? Describe yourself in these terms. Start with "I am.." and not with "I think..." or "I believe.." so that you sound self aware and confident.-----------------------------------------------------------When you're interviewing for an internal position within your company, you may be asked what you will do if you don't get the job. The interviewer wants to know whether you are concerned about just the advancement opportunity or the company.

* What do you look for in a job? This is really a question about suitability, though we've included it here.Remember the advert? Focus on the advert criteria and you won't go far wrong. For example, if the advert called for someone to lead others, you might say:"I like a job where I can lead and motivate others and enjoy seeing improvements in team performance".If the advert called for a target-focused individual, you might say:"I like having targets. They encourage me to stretch myself and beat them!"* What is your personal mission statement or motto? There is a will, there is a way! What are your strengths/weaknesses?IMPORTANT -- this common job interview question can be asked in many different ways, such as "What qualities do you admire in others that you would like to develop in yourself?"Strengths should be easy enough to think about (keep the position in mind).Talking about weaknesses can be harder but good interview answers are still possible. Many people choose to mention something which they've recognized as being a weakness but have overcome."I'd like to be more organized, like one of my colleagues. She doesn't have to try. But because I don't find it as easy as her, I use to-do lists and a diary to help me successfully manage my work".On a final note, it's much safer to highlight your lack of experience or knowledge as a weakness than a fault in your personality. Employers can always give you experience but few want to help you overcome shortcomings in your personality! So avoid telling interviewers that you "get bored" or "too involved" or "frustrated"!Why did you think you are suited to this job? What they are really asking is "You know what we are looking for so can you tell us what you have done or what you have, that is relevant."Why should we give the job to you above other applicants? This is often our closing question. We want to know, in a nutshell, why you are the best candidate for the job. This is a chance to list your best attributes as they relate to the vacancy. Don't be cocky, but don't be shy.* Where do you see yourself in five years time? This can be a difficult job interview question to answer, especially if you've not thought beyond getting this job! When you answer, you want to sound ambitious enough to be motivated to do a good job, but not too ambitious in case your interviewers think you're only using this job as a stepping stone to something better.I can be successful in this job and taken on additional responsibilities and be considered suitable for promotion.
