Thanks to this function, the S2700 implements easy installation, configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting, greatly reduces initial installation and configuration costs, improves upgrade efficiency and lowers engineering costs. It provides a Web network management system (NMS) with a user-friendly graphical user interface (GUI) to implement alarm management and visual configuration, facilitating operation and maintenance. In addition, it supports faulty device replacement without configuration.●The S2700 offers a new application-specific integrated circuit (ASIC) switching technique and a fan-free design. This design reduces mechanical faults and protects the device against damages caused by condensed water and dust. Flexible service control●The S2700-EI supports various ACLs. ACL rules can be applied to VLANs to flexibly control ports and schedule VLAN resources.●The S2700 supports port-based VLAN assignment, MAC address-based VLAN assignment, protocol-based VLAN assignment, and network segment-based VLAN assignment. These secure and flexible VLAN assignment modes are used in networks where users move frequently.●The S2700 supports GARP VLAN Registration Protocol (GVRP), which dynamically distributes, registers, and propagates VLAN attributes to ensure correct VLAN configuration and reduce network administrator workloads. In addition, the S2700 supports SSH v2, HWTACACS, RMON, and port-based traffic statistics. The network quality analyzing (NQA) function assists users with network planning and upgrades.Excellent security features●The S2700 supports DHCP snooping, which generates user binding entries based on users' access interfaces, MAC addresses, IP addresses, IP address leases, VLAN IDs. The DHCP snooping function protects enterprises from common attacks such as bogus IP packet attacks, man-in-the-middle attacks, and bogus DHCP server attacks.●The S2700 can limit the number of MAC addresses that can be learned on an interface to prevent attackers from exhausting MAC address entries by using bogus source MAC addresses. This function minimizes packet flooding, which occurs when users' MAC addresses cannot be found in the MAC address table. The S2700 can also limit the number of ARP entries to prevent ARP spoofing attacks. In addition, it provides an IP source check function to prevent malicious users from using spoofed IP addresses to initiate DoS attacks.●The S2700 supports centralized MAC address authentication and 802.1x authentication. It authenticates users based on statically or dynamically bound user information such as IP address, MAC address, VLAN ID, access interface. VLANs, QoS policies, and ACLs can be dynamically applied to users.PoE function●The S2700 PWR series support improved Power over Ethernet (PoE) solutions and you can determine whether a PoE port provides power and the time a PoE port provides power. The S2700 PWR can use PoE power supplies with different power levels to provide the PoE function. Powered devices (PDs) such as IP Phones, WLAN APs, and Bluetooth APs can be connected to the S2700 PWR through network cables. The S2700 PWR provides -48V DC power for the PDs.●In its role as power sourcing equipment (PSE), the S2700 PWR complies with IEEE 802.3af and 802.3at (PoE+), and can work with PDs that are incompatible with 802.3af or 802.3at (PoE+). Each port provides a maximum of 30 W of power, complying with IEEE 802.3at. The PoE+ function increases the maximum power available on each port and implements intelligent power management for high-power consumption applications. This process facilitates the ease of PD use. PoE ports are still able to work while in power-saving mode.High scalability●The S2700 uses Intelligent Stack (iStack) to virtualize multiple switches into a single logical device to ease user management and configuration and expand the system switching capacity. iStack improves switching capacity, reliability, and scalability. Additionally, after the stack is established, all the member switches in a stack use the same IP address. You can use a single IP address to manage and maintain the switches uniformly. This greatly reduces system operation and maintenance (O&M) costs.●The iStack stacking architecture is designed for rapid failover capability with n-1 master redundancy, distributed Layer 2 and Layer 3 switching, link aggregation across the stack, and within 200 millisecond failover for path failure and hitlessmaster/backup failover.●Besides traditional STP, RSTP, and MSTP, the S2700 supports enhanced Ethernet technologies such as Smart Link and RRPP, implements millisecond-level protection switchover for links, and ensures the network quality.●The S2700 supports Smart Ethernet Protection (SEP) protocol, a ring network protocol applied to the link layer of an Ethernet network. SEP provides millisecond-level service switchovers and ensures nonstop forwarding of services. In addition, SEP features simplicity, high reliability, high switchover performance, convenient maintenance, and flexible topology and enables users to manage and plan networks conveniently.●The S2700 supports G.8032 Ethernet Ring Protection Switching (ERPS). The ERPS is based on traditional Ethernet MAC and bridging functions. It uses the mature Ethernet OAM and Ring Automatic Protection Switching (Ring APS or R-APS) technologies to implement millisecond-level protection switching on Ethernet. ERPS supports various services and flexible networking and lowers operating expense (OPEX) and capital expenditure (CAPEX) of users.Comprehensive QoS policies●The S2700 supports complex traffic classification based on packets' TCP/UDP port numbers, VLAN IDs, source MAC/IP addresses, destination MAC/IP addresses, IP protocols, or priorities. By limiting the traffic rate based on traffic classification results, the S2700 implements line-speed forwarding on each port to ensure high-quality voice, video, and data services. Each port supports a maximum of eight queues and multiple queue scheduling algorithms, such as WRR, SP, and WRR+SP. Powerful surge protection capability●The S2700 uses the Huawei patented surge protection technique that supports 7 kV surge protection capability on service ports. This effectively protects switches against over lightning induced overvoltage. The Huawei patented surge protection technique greatly reduces the possibility of equipment being damaged by lightning, even in extreme situations or in scenarios where grounding is not feasible.Quiet operation, energy conservation, and low radiationThe S2700 uses an energy-saving integrated circuit design to ensure even heat dissipation. Idle ports can enter a sleep mode to further reduce power consumption. The S2700 generates no sound because it does not contain any fans. Radiation produced by the S2700 is within the standard range for electric appliances and causes no harm to the human body. NVIDIA Spectrum SN4000系列交换机数据手册说明书
NVIDIA® Spectrum™ SN4000 series switches are the 4th generation of Spectrumswitches, purpose-built for leaf/spine/super-spine datacenter applications. Allowing maximum flexibility, SN4000 series provides port speeds spanning from 1GbE to 400GbE, with a port density that enables full rack connectivity to any server at any speed. In addition, the uplink ports allow a variety of blocking ratios to suit any application requirement. The SN4000 series is ideal for building wire-speed and cloud-scale layer-2 and layer-3 networks. The SN4000 platforms deliver high performance, consistent low latency along with support for advanced software defined networking features, making it the ideal choice for web scale IT, cloud, hyperconverged storage and data analytics applications. Network Disaggregation: NVIDIA Open EthernetOpen Ethernet breaks the paradigm of traditional switch systems, eliminating vendor lock-in. Instead of forcing network operators to use the specific software that is provided by the switch vendor, Open Ethernet offers the flexibility to use a choiceof operating systems on top of Ethernet switches, thereby re-gaining control of the network, and optimizing utilization, efficiency and overall return on investment. Open Ethernet adopts the same principles as standard open solutions for servers and storage, and applies them to the world of networking infrastructure. It encourages an ecosystem of open source, standard network solutions. These solutions can then be easily deployed into the modern data center across network equipment that eases management and ensures full interoperability. With a range of system form factors, and a rich software ecosystem, NVIDIA SN4000 series allows you to pick and choose the right components for your data center.NVIDIA SN4000 SeriesSN4000 series platforms are based on the high-performance Spectrum-3 ASIC with a bidirectional switching capacity of 12.8Tbps. Onyx leverages capabilities of the SN4000 series to provide greater magnitudes of scale, state-of-the-art telemetry, enhanced QoS, exceptional programmability that enables a flexible pipeline supporting both new and legacy protocols, a larger fully-shared buffer, and more**.NVIDIA NetQNVIDIA NetQ is a highly-scalable, modern, network operations tool set that provides visibility, troubleshooting and lifecycle management of your open networks inreal time. NetQ delivers actionable insights and operational intelligence about the health of your data center and campus networks — from the container or host, all the way to the switch and port, enabling a NetDevOps approach. NetQ is the leading network operations tool that utilizes telemetry for deep troubleshooting, visibility and automated workflows from a single GUI interface, reducing maintenance and network downtimes. With the addition of full lifecycle management functionality, NetQ now combines the ability to easily upgrade, configure and deploy network elements with a full suite of operations capabilities, such as visibility, troubleshooting, validation, trace and comparative look-back functionality.ONIEThe open network install environment (ONIE) is an open compute project open source initiative driven by a community to define an open “install environment” for bare metal network switches, such as the NVIDIA SN4000 series. ONIE enables a bare metal network switch ecosystem where end users have a choice of different network operating systems.Docker ContainersNVIDIA fully supports the running of third party containerized applications on the switch system itself. The third party application has complete access to the bare-metal switch via its direct access to the SDK. The switch has tight controls over the amount of memory and CPU cycles each container is allowed to use, along with fine grained monitoring of those resources.Docker Containers SupportNVIDIA Spectrum-3: Build your cloud without compromise Groundbreaking PerformancePacket buffer architecture has a major impact on overall switch performance. The Spectrum-3 packet buffer is monolithic and fully shared across all ports, supporting cut-through line rate traffic from all ports, without compromising scale or features. With its fast packet buffer, Spectrum-3 is able to provide a high-performance fair and bottleneck-free data path for mission-critical applications.Pervasive VisibilitySpectrum-3 provides deep and contextual network visibility, which enables network operators to proactively manage issues and reduce mean time to recovery/innocence. The WJH feature leverages the underlying silicon and software capability to provide granular and event-triggered information about infrastructure issues. In addition, the rich telemetry information from Spectrum-3 is readily available via open APIs that are integratable with third party software tools and workflow engines. Unprecedented AgilityFor modern data center infrastructure to be software defined and agile, both its compute and network building blocks need to be agile. Spectrum-3 features a unique feature rich and efficient packet processing pipeline that offers rich data center network virtualization features without compromising on performance or scale. Spectrum-3 has a programmable pipeline and a deep packet parser/editor that can process payloads up to the first 512B. Spectrum-3 supports single pass VXLAN routing as well as bridging. Additionally, Spectrum-3 supports advanced virtualization features such as IPv6 segment routing, and Network Address Translation (NAT). Massive ScaleThe number of endpoints in the data center is increasing exponentially. With the current shift from virtual machine-based architectures to container-based architectures, the high-scale forwarding tables required by modern data centers and mega-clouds increase by up to an order of magnitude or more. To answer these needs for scalability and flexibility, Spectrum-3 uses intelligent algorithms and efficient resource sharing, and supports unprecedented forwarding table, counters and policy scale.>Fine-grained resource allocation to fit all specific needs, allowing up to 512Kentries to be dynamically shared across MAC, ARP, IPv4/IPv6 routes, ACLs,ECMP, and Tunnels.>An innovative algorithmic TCAM optimized for data centers and cloudenvironments, which can scale the number of rules to up to half a million rules.End-to-End SolutionThe SN4000 series is part of the NVIDIA complete end-to-end solution which provides 1GbE through 400GbE interconnectivity within the data center. OVERVIEW OF THE CONNECTORThe SEARAY connector system provides data rates up to 15 Gbps and superior signal density up to 67 differential pairs per inch. The SEARAY open pin field provides designers with flexibility in signal allocation for high-speed differential pairs, low speed single ended lines and power.SEARAY’s recessed housing protects terminals from stubbing during mating and the shrouded housing with guide pins helps align mezzanine cards in blind matingsituations. In processing, SEARAY benefits from Solder Charge TM SMT Technology with many advantages over BGA such as increased PCB retention, easier x-ray inspection and more reliable interfacing to the PCB with a riveted terminal ensuring contact with the solder pad.The SEARAY connector system is designed for mezzanine architectures to meet the growing demands of next-generation telecommunication and data networkingequipment manufacturers. The SEARAY connector system is offered in a large variety of options with circuit sizes ranging from 40 to 500 circuits and stack heights covering the gamete of 7 to 15mm.REVISION:ECR/ECN INFORMATION: SHEET No.EC No: UCP2010-1365 ATITLE: SEARAY BOARD TO BOARD SYSTEMCONNECTOR ROUTING GUIDE4 of 14II. ROUTING RECOMMENDATIONS PCB Pad Layout / Connector FootprintThe SEARAY connector system is designed for .025" (0.635mm) diameter solder pads. A simple .050" x .050" (1.27mm x 1.27mm) solder pad grid is shown in Figure 1. The solder pad layout is identical between the plug and receptacle with the exception of the non-plated thru holes (NPTH) for connector alignment pegs relative to row 1 / position 1.Figure 1: Plug Connector Solder Pad LayoutFigure 2: Receptacle Connector Solder Pad LayoutREVISION:ECR/ECN INFORMATION: SHEET No.EC No: UCP2010-1365 ATITLE: SEARAY BOARD TO BOARD SYSTEMCONNECTOR ROUTING GUIDE5 of 14Routing Pattern: Trace GeometryFor high speed applications it is recommended that the differential signals be routed through the via pin field as tightly coupled differential pairs in order to minimize the effects of crosstalk. The differential impedance of the pair should be tuned to be as close to the nominal system impedance as possible (typically 100 ohms). Otherparameters such as common mode impedance, fabrication consistency, attenuation, and routing density may also influence the choice of trace dimensions for a particular application. For the SEARAY connector the allowable trace geometry is bounded by theminimum dimensions constant with required impedance and fabrication capabilities and by the maximum allowable by the SEARAY pin field grid dimensions 050" x .050"(1.27mm x 1.27mm) of the solder pad grid. A 5-5-5 mil trace geometry is recommended within the via pin field. Other traces geometries may be used, but is recommended that the total differential pair width be restricted to 15mils or less. Outside the via pin field the traces may be expanded as a loosely coupled differential pair (for example 7-14-7) or uncoupled single ended traces as required by the application. It is recommended that the pairs be edge coupled and aligned parallel to the long axis of the connector. While broad side coupling may be used, it is likely to require additional skew compensation.Figure 3: 5-5-5 Trace GeometryREVISION:ECR/ECN INFORMATION: SHEET No.EC No: UCP2010-1365 ATITLE: SEARAY BOARD TO BOARD SYSTEMCONNECTOR ROUTING GUIDE6 of 14Figure 4: Lateral Escape RoutingFigure 5: Longitudinal Escape Routing2:1 1:1Figure 7: Grounding Patterns2:1 Shielded 1:1 ShieldedFigure 8: Shielded Grounding PatternsREVISION:ECR/ECN INFORMATION: SHEET No.EC No: UCP2010-1365 ATITLE: SEARAY BOARD TO BOARD SYSTEMCONNECTOR ROUTING GUIDE9 of 14Pad and Anti-pad guidelinesFor High-speed signaling applications Pad and anti-pad construction are ofcritical importance. For correct attachment of the SEARAY connector the top layer SMT pads are required to be .025" (0.635mm) in diameter. The internal pads should be small to minimize capacitance. The inner layer pads and annular ring with outer diameter of 18 mils is recommended. The number of pads on inner layers should be the minimal required to maintain good adhesion of the via to the PCB in order to minimize the capacitance for the via structure.Anti-pads are recommended to be 35 mils in radius when used with 15mil (total width) differential pairs (for example 5-5-5 or 4-6-4 traces). The anti-pad should be large to allow for minimum deviation of impedance from the nominal value. However, it should not be so large that that the anti-pad cavity can extend over the trace causingimpedance discontinuities and a reduction in cross talk isolation. Anti-pads may align with the outer edges of the differential traces, but should not extend over the differential pairs in order maintain control of crosstalk and impedance. Smaller than recommended anti-pads may be used but a negative influence on via impedance is expected.Figure 9: Trace RoutingREVISION:ECR/ECN INFORMATION: SHEET No.EC No: UCP2010-1365 ATITLE: SEARAY BOARD TO BOARD SYSTEMCONNECTOR ROUTING GUIDE10 of 14Via constructionFor the SEARAY connector via in pad construction is recommended to minimize any impedance discontinuity at the via / pad transition. Dog bone via structures may be used but with an expected reduction in electrical performance. As a surface mounted technology (SMT), the SEARAY connector does notconstrain the choice of via size due to compliant pin or press fit requirements. A 10 mil (drill) via barrel was used in the SI analysis of the SEARAY via structure and this size or smaller is recommended depending on the host board thickness and allowable aspect ratio.Figure 10: Via Construction Used in SI AnalysisDifferential Trace to Signal Pad AttachmentFor the SEARAY connector a 45° flag style launch (Figure 4) is preferred for high speed applications. The 45° flag provides a reduced capacitance and reduced differential impedance discontinuity.Figure 11: Standard Escape Detail (Longitudinal)REVISION:ECR/ECN INFORMATION: SHEET No.EC No: UCP2010-1365 ATITLE: SEARAY BOARD TO BOARD SYSTEMCONNECTOR ROUTING GUIDE11 of 14Intra-pair and Inter-pair skew controlRouting orthogonally to the differential pair directly though the pin field in a lateral escape configuration is recommended to minimize the intra-pair skew. A longitudinal escape may be used but some form of skew compensation may be required. It is recommended that the differential pairs be routed through opposite side of theconnector on the top and bottom boards to minimize inter-pair skew. If this is impractical then skew compensation should be performed outside the pin field to achieve an acceptable level of inter-pair skew control. If the traces are routed longitudinally intra-pair skew may be compensated by routing the traces on the top and bottom board in opposite directions so that the traces are essentially mirror image. It is recommended that any skew compensation applied to the traces be distributed along the tracesoutside of the pin field region rather than performed at a single point along the trace.Figure 12: Flag Escape DetailDepth of rowsIt is recommended that the differential traces be routed to minimize the depth of rows through which the signal traces must pass. This means that ideally the signals be routed with center symmetry along the longitudinal axis of the connector so that cross talk and impedance variations observed by the signal traces are minimized.ECR/ECN INFORMATION:UCP2010-1365TITLE:SEARAY BOARD TO BOARD SYSTEM CONNECTOR ROUTING GUIDEFigure 12: Back Drill SpecificationREVISION: ECR/ECN INFORMATION: SHEET No.EC No: UCP2010-1365 ATITLE: SEARAY BOARD TO BOARD SYSTEMCONNECTOR ROUTING GUIDE14 of 14Keep out areaRecommended clearance or keep out area allowed for reworking of this component is.200” (5.0mm) all the way around the perimeter of the part. Contact Molex if further assistance is required. The required distance between the connector and an impedance discontinuity is highlydependent on the rise time and spectral content of the data transmitted. For a 6.25GHz NRZ differential signal it is recommended that a keep out distance of greater than 12.5mm be kept between the connector and any impedance dicontinuity (based on the 1/4 wavelength distance of the clock frequecy in the PCB dielectric).。
