The table illustrates how the proportion of male and female workers in four sectors changed between 1990 and 2010.Referring to men, most of them (25%) worked in manufacturing industry in 1990 but the figure had decreasedin the following twenty years, standing at only 10% in 2010. This downward trend was also seen in the rate of male employees in retail and shops, declining from 23% to 8%. On the contrary, there were more and more men finding jobs in tourism, and its percentage almost tripled over this period. In terms of health field, 9% of men were hired both in 1990 and 2000 with an increase of 1% in 2010.Regarding to women, 23% of them undertook the work related to tourism at the beginning of this period and in next twenty years its percent stabilised at 25%. The similar situation occurred in the figure for retail and shops where 13% of women worked in per ten years. However, meanwhile, the percentage of female staffs in health and manufacturing both had dropped.Overall, it can be seen that compared with men, more women chose to work in tourism and health industry in the 20-year period.

Some people believe that it is important to protect the environment, but they make no efforts on it. What are the reasons of it? How to solve the environmental problem?Even three-year-old children know about severe problems brought by devastation of environment in cities around the world. However, senses of indifference and avoidance are written on every face of almost all citizens who are not, indeed, unconcern about this global problem. Those people who do not think that they can do something to rescue the whole world have reasons of both individual and government. From individual perspective, environmental problems maybe too big or too complicated for them to solve, even if they are keen on dedicating to environmental protection after the campaign and publicity from environmentalists and government. It is certainly true. After all, it is a long-term outcome before citizens realize seriousness theyresult in. For example, styrofoam cups or plastic bags which they toss away will be never biodegraded until after at least 500 years. On the other hand, they also nurture the concept that it is too negligible for environment to use disposable products and throw those living rubbishes, which is convenient and, somewhat, fashionable to be inline with international trend. So, this could be done by a process of education which points out the way a smaller family can mean an environmentally friendly lifestyle for family members, as well as less strain on the government’s, perhaps very limited, resources. But, it does not mean government issue can be neglected on this point. It is, in general, thought that it is the obligation of government to face status quo, rather than depending on underage’s volunteer work or even publicity on festival concerned once or twice per year. Therefore, some laws and regulations may be constituted to solve the problem, such as the regulation of staggering the use of odd-and-even-numbered cars in cities, which is currently used in Beijing during 2008 Olympic and Paralympics Games. And, energy-saving light bulbs can be subsidized by government to those families with poor economic background. In conclusion, environment problem affects every aspect of our life. So, joint efforts may be made by both government and individual.2021年2月21日雅思大作文及其范文这次雅思大作文居然又考了一道老题,而且还是我上课所讲的内容。
2023年10月21日雅思小作文
2023年10月21日雅思小作文英文回答:From my perspective, the most effective method for foreign language acquisition is through immersion. By residing in a country where the target language is spoken natively, individuals are exposed to the language in its natural context and can absorb it through daily interactions. This approach allows for subconscious learning, where language acquisition occurs naturally and effortlessly. Moreover, immersion fosters cultural understanding and appreciation, as learners are exposed to the customs and values associated with the language. In contrast, traditional classroom instruction often relies on rote memorization and grammar rules, which can be less effective for long-term retention. While classroom settings can provide a structured learning environment, they lack the real-world context and interactive nature of immersion. Additionally, classroom instruction may notalways cater to individual learning styles or provide opportunities for authentic communication.中文回答:从我的角度来看,学习外语最有效的方法是沉浸式学习。

雅思8.21作文
雅思8.21作文The Impact of Social Media on Mental HealthIn recent years, the rise of social media has brought about significant changes in the way people communicate, share information, and interact with one another. While social media platforms have undoubtedly revolutionized the way we connect with others, there is a growing concern about the potential impact of social media on mental health. This essay aims to explore the complex relationship between social media and mental health, analyzing its historical background, different perspectives, case studies, benefits, drawbacks, and future implications.Historical Background and DevelopmentThe rise of social media can be traced back to the early 2000s, with the emergence of platforms such as MySpace, Facebook, and Twitter. These platforms were initially designed to facilitate social interaction and communication, allowing users to connect with friends and family, share personal updates, and engage in online communities. Over time, social media has evolved to encompass a wide range of features, including photo and video sharing, live streaming, and instant messaging, making it an integral part of everyday life for millions of people around the world. As social media usage has become increasingly pervasive, concerns about its impact on mental health have also grown. Research has shown that excessive use of social media can lead to feelings of loneliness, anxiety, and depression, particularly among young people. The constant exposure to idealized images and lifestyles on social media has been linked to a rise in body image issues and low self-esteem, as individuals compare themselves to unrealistic standards perpetuated by influencers and celebrities. Additionally, the addictive nature of social media, characterized by endless scrolling and constant notifications, has raised concerns about its potential to disrupt sleep patterns and contribute to feelings of stress and overwhelm.Different Perspectives and OpinionsThe relationship between social media and mental health is a complex and multifaceted issue, with various perspectives and opinions shaping the discourse. Some argue that social media has provided a valuable platform for raising awareness about mental health issues and connecting individuals with support networks and resources. Online communities and forums dedicated to mental health have allowed people to share their experiences, seek advice, and find solidarity in their struggles, breaking down the stigma surrounding mental illness. On the other hand, critics argue that social media has exacerbated mental health problems by promoting a culture of comparison and validation-seeking. The pressure to present a curated and flawless image online has been linked tofeelings of inadequacy and insecurity, leading to a rise in anxiety and depression among users. Moreover, the prevalence of cyberbullying and online harassment has created a toxic environment for many individuals, contributing to feelings of isolation and distress.Case Studies and ExamplesSeveral case studies and examples illustrate the impact of social media on mental health. A study conducted by the Royal Society for Public Health in the UK found that Instagram, in particular, has the most detrimental effect on young people's mental wellbeing, with issues such as anxiety, depression, loneliness, and body image concerns being exacerbated by the platform. The pressure to present a perfect and glamorous image on Instagram has been linked to a rise in negative self-perception and mental health struggles among young users.Conversely, there are also examples of social media being used as a force for good in the realm of mental health. Online campaigns and movements, such as#BellLetsTalk and #EndTheStigma, have utilized social media to raise awareness about mental health issues, challenge stereotypes, and encourage open conversations. These initiatives have sparked meaningful discussions and fostereda sense of community among individuals struggling with mental illness, highlighting the potential for social media to be a tool for positive change.Critical Evaluation of the TopicWhen critically evaluating the impact of social media on mental health, it is essential to consider both the benefits and drawbacks of its influence. On one hand, social media has the potential to facilitate social support, provide access to information and resources, and empower individuals to share their stories and advocate for mental health awareness. The ability to connect with like-minded individuals and access support networks online can be a lifeline for those experiencing mental health challenges, particularly in regions where access to traditional mental health services may be limited. On the other hand, the negative effects of social media on mental health cannot be overlooked. The constant exposure to filtered and curated images, the pressure to conform to societal standards of beauty and success, and the prevalence of cyberbullying and online harassment have contributed to a culture of comparison and validation-seeking that can be detrimental to mental wellbeing. Furthermore, the addictive nature of social media, characterized by compulsive checking and excessive screen time, has been linked to a decline in mental health and overall well-being.Future Implications and RecommendationsLooking ahead, it is crucial to consider the future implications of the relationship between social media and mental health. As social media continues to evolve and integrate into various aspects of daily life, it is essential to prioritize the development of responsible and ethical online practices that promote mental health and well-being. This includes implementing measures to combat cyberbullying, promoting digital literacy and critical thinking skills, and fostering a culture of online positivity and support.Furthermore, mental health organizations, policymakers, and social media platforms themselves have a role to play in addressing the impact of social media on mental health. Collaborative efforts to promote digital well-being, provide accurate and accessible mental health information, and create safe and supportive online environments are essential for mitigating the negative effects of social media on mental health. Additionally, individuals can take proactive steps to manage their social media usage, such as setting boundaries, practicing digital detoxes, and seeking support when needed. In conclusion, the relationship between social media and mental health is a complex and nuanced issue that warrants careful consideration. While social media has the potential to be a force for positive change, it also poses significant challenges to mental health and well-being. By critically evaluating the impact of social media on mental health, acknowledging its benefits and drawbacks, and proactively addressing future implications, we can work towards creating a more balanced and responsible digital landscape that prioritizes mental health andwell-being.。
雅思写作例文 Task 2 21
You should spend about40minutes on this task.Write about the following topic:Social media is becoming increasingly popular amongst all age groups. However, sharing personal information on social media websites does have risks.Do you think that the advantages of social media outweigh the disadvantages?Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.Write at least250words.Answer:Since the invention of social media, many people have been better able to connect with each other and also to keep up to date with the lives of their friends,families,co-workers and even celebrities,to such a degree which was previously impossible. However, social media has its risks. As people of all ages have access to social media, children can be exposed to adult content, and are themselves vulnerable to be approached by strangers with unknown intentions.Even if children are sure of who they're talking to on social media, social media's issues are not completely eliminated.Cyber bullying is frequently reported in the news, and occurs on social media between children and schoolchildren. This is problematic,as it means even when children are at home, remote from their bullies they can still be bullied when they're inside their own homes.Social media can be problematic for adults, too.People often feel comfortable posting things on social media that they wouldn't say in real life. This can indirectly cause a bad impression on other people, and if employers judge the nature of the content prospective employees post on social media to be inappropriate,it can affect their chances of attaining or keeping jobs.As long as people are aware of the risks of using social media, and are careful to post only respectful and respectable content, then the advantages of social media far outweigh the disadvantages, and children and adults alike should be allowed to benefit from such technology.(250words)。

雅思写作小作文范文The line chart illustrates the variation in the number of newly-built houses in four categories in a specific area of the UK from 2010 to 2018 and future projections to 2020.The trend in three kinds of houses shows great similarity during the period. Starting from 2600, we can seethat detached houses were the most popular ones. After rising to a peak at around 2800 in 2012, the figure has declined consistently to the 2010 figure and the drop seems more remarkable until 2020 when it is predicted to reach 2400. Terraced houses and semi-detached houses also follow an overall downward trend, with the former dropping from 1800 to 1600 and the latter from1500 to 1200, despite some fluctuation over the time frame.Dramatic differences can be spotted in flats. In 2010, the least number of flats were built (around 1200), but the number successively exceeded that of semi-detached houses, terraced houses and now overtakes that of detached houses and will reach almost 2900 in the end, dominating the housing market.Overall, the graph shows how flats have increased dramatically in the number while the popularity of the other three types has dropped over the period.以上就是2018年4月21日场的雅思写作小作文真题及范文,。

文章结构:4段首段:导入话题,简述主体主体段1:the reasons why people are having children late in life主体段2:the positive effects of this phenomenon on society and family主体段3:the negative effects of this phenomenon on society and family结尾段:总结上文参考范文:In the modern world, young adults prefer to raise children late in their life. This essay will mainly analyse the potential reasons and how it will affect society and family life as well. There are three main factors contributing to the postponed parenthood. In general, people who bear great pressure from their work are less likely to prepare childbirth early, considering that they may have little time to attend their children. This problem can also be attributed to the high cost of modern life. The young people without adequate savings will probably be afraid of high living cost and expensive tuition. Another reason for this is the difficulty in balancing work and life. More young people emphasise the promotion in career, and thus spare little time for a stable marriage life which is viewed as a significant element for rearing children. It cannot be denied that late childbirth is able to provide more time for young couples to be ready for the new members in their families. They need to learn how to raise children before they decide to have children. In addition, if they delay childbirth, they can provide more economic su pport for children’s rearing and education. However, the low birthrate will cause an increase in ageing population. It is widely known that most medical needs and costs occur in the last years of life. Therefore, young people have to face the need to care for the elderly family members. From the perspective of the society, due to a shift in the age structure of the workforce, an ageing society with a low birthrate is likely to encounter labour shortage. To summarise, the delay in having children is mainly attributed to the stresses and strains men and women bear in both their life and work. Although this may help them better prepare for their children’s development, the negative effects on both society and family life cannot be ignored.参考译文:在现代世界,年轻人更愿意抚养孩子在他们的生活。

7月21日雅思机经真题回忆Word count: 159The flow chart shows how waste paper is recycled. It is clear that there are six distinct stages in this process, from the initial collection of waste paper to the eventual production of usable paper. At the first stage in the paper recycling process, waste paper is collected and transported to a water and chemicals tank, where the recycled paper is made into unfiltered pulp. After that, the unfiltered pulp is washed by soap and water to remove the ink to produce filtered pulp. Following this stage, the filtered pulp will be poured into another water and chemicals tank where the pulp could be cleaned again to produce the clean pulp. At the end stage, the pulp is transmitted into a conveyor belt where the water could be squeezed. After being processed in this paper making machine, the end product: usable paper is finally produced.Overall, it can be seen that waste paper can be recycled through simple steps.TASK 2题目类别:教育类提问方式:提问类考试题目:Many businesses think that the new employees who graduate from schools lack basic interpersonal skills, such as working with colleagues asa team. What has caused this and what are solutions to the problems?(Word count:291)It is quite common today for entrepreneurs to argue that those with high school qualifications have poor communication skills. There are several reasons behind the phenomenon, and therefore, relevant measures would be suggested in this essay. The most apparent reason is that high schools merely prepare students for knowledge and skills in academic fields. It is true that the curriculum in most of the institutions for teenagers is mainly about mathematics, languages and other academic subjects rather than about team building skills or communication skills. Therefore, such skills are rarely mastered by the new employees. However, an underlying reason is that they are accustomed with computer communication. A large number of students today keep contact with each other online instead of chatting with each other face-to-face. As a result, they lack the related skills. An effective approach to the problem is that more team work and group assignments should be added into the school curriculum. This would encourage students to work with each other. For example, they should be required to do a presentation on a given topic together in a short amount of time. This forces them to manage to work out the interpersonal problems that they encounter during the process. Anotherpossible way would be encouraging students to take part in non-academic activities. If more students attend clubs after school, they have more opportunities to meet more interpersonal problems, and communication skills such as how to ask for help in a polite way and how to listen carefully would be cultivated in the process. In conclusion, there is no doubt the lack of interpersonal skills results from the academic environment and personal habits of students in the 21st century. However, there are still some methods to meet the challenge.。

2022年4月21日雅思大作文
2022年4月21日雅思大作文1.In some countries, many more people are choosing to live alone nowadays than in the past. Do you think this is a positive or negative development? These days, it seems that more people prefer to live independently than ever before in many parts of the world. Yet, there remains some disagreement as to whether the effects of living alone are positive or negative. While there are certainly valid arguments to the contrary, I personally believe that the drawbacks of living alone far outweigh its benefits. These drawbacks are twofold.A good reason to oppose the one person household is that this way of living has an adverse impact on human psychology. For example, a recent study revealed that this lifestyle is the main cause of stress because people who live alone often have no one to share their problems with. This has a detrimental impact on their emotional health and welling.Furthermore, our lives have many occasions and events to be celebrated with loving family such as New Year, birthday and so on. A singleton misses these happy moments altogether increasing their risk of suffering from psychological problems.Worse still, they do not have anyone to take care of them when they fall ill.Another point to consider is that as the price of commodities and apartments are skyrocketing, someone who lives alone is bound to have too much financial burden on themselves. This, in turn, forces those people to work unbelievably hard as they cannot expect any financial backing from their family or relatives in most cases. In conclusion, I once again reaffirm my position that living alone has a negative impact on our psychological health and financial situation.2. Most artists earn low salaries and should therefore receive funding from the government in order for them to continue with their work. To what extent you agree? Some people believe that the majority of artists earn low salaries and hence government funding is necessary for them to continue with their profession. I strongly disagree with this statement because of the reasons mentioned below. Most of the talented artists are earning good salary. In any field of art, hardworking and skilful artists have successful life with enough fame and money. More specifically, actors, painters, writers and dancers are getting goodremuneration for their performance. Paintings of good painters are sold for a great deal of money. It is well known to the public that dancers and actors lead highly luxurious lives.Government funding is not at all required for these artists. Most of the artists are leading good standard life compared to many other people in the society. In other words, there are many sections of people who are really poor and actually need some help from the government to meet their basic needs such as food, clothes and education. For example, there are many people who do not have a proper house to stay in. Road workers and construction workers are earning low wages. There are many families where there are sick males who are unable to do any job. So, the government should give its help and support to these poorer sections of the society.Another argument against giving financial aid to artists is that most of them have some sort of university education. So if they are not able to earn as much as they want, they can do some other job to supplement their income. In conclusion, artists are getting enough income and government support is not mandatory for them. Therefore I strongly disagree with the statement.3.Nowadays for many people the internet is replacing regular books. What do you think will happen in the future and what is your opinion about this trend?Reading behaviour has been considerably affected by the internet revolution. Many individuals have shifted their reading behaviour toward digital and e-books, instead of the traditional printed books. In my opinion, this positive phenomenon will continue to grow as more book readers will adopt the new online reading methods; meanwhile, publishers and book stores will strive to find new strategies to survive. On the one hand, the increase in popularity of digital reading is influenced by the benefits that the internet can provide. Firstly, the internet eliminates the geographical boundaries and save considerable time. Now, readers behind their screens can choose their books, purchase and download them without waiting till the book is imported and arrive to their local book stores. Moreover, book readers have more freedom of choice, because digital books bypass the strict regulations on publications which are imposed by some governments.Secondly, e-books are more convenient than regular books. They are cheaper, as its save cost of printing, and shipping.Furthermore, online books can be either saved on the clouds or on the hard disk, which spare the physical spaces. On the other hand, book publishers and book stores will face considerable challenges since they continuously lose customers and market shares. They are obligate to find strategies to cope with the new trend of readers’ behaviour; otherwise, they will be out of the market. Many of large publishing companies and book stores have already transformed themselves into online book stores. However, local publishing and book stores will be disappeared, as they can not bear the cost of shifting into online stores. To sum up, I consider, the benefit of having online books is one of the best outcomes of the internet, and in the foreseeable future more people will shift into online reading.4.Some people believe that school children should not be given homework by their teachers, whereas others argue that homework plays an important role in the education of children. Discuss both of these views and give your own opinion.People’s opinions differ as to whether or not school children should be given homework. While there are some strong arguments against the setting of homework, I still believe that it is a necessary aspect of education.。

First, genetically modified trees are designed to be hardier than naturetrees; that it, they are more likely to survive than their unmodifiedcounterparts. In Hawaii, for example, a new pest-resistant species of papayatree has been developed in response to ring-spot virus infections that haverepeatedly damaged the native papaya-tree population. 题目:Some businesses find that new employees who just finish their education lack basic interpersonal ability such as work with others as a part of team. What do you think the causes of this problem? And how to solve this?
范文来自雅思哥:
Despite the high level of knowledge, employers today have found that their new employees lack basic interpersonal skills needed in an office environment. This essay will analyze the main reason leading to the problem and offer some potential solutions to it.
People with interpersonal skills are the people who can vary how they act and what they contribute. They notice the strengths and weaknesses of their group, and they adapt. However, schools and colleges or universities have failed to equip students with such applied skills. Instead, students are encouraged to focus on their academic subjects exclusively, because they are only evaluated by their academic performance which is essential to receiving an academic qualification. Unfortunately, many of them have turned into information recipients who acquire the knowledge in a passive way without truly developing abilities and skills required in today s job market. For high schools, educators should think more about how students are learning, rather than just what they are learning. Teaching should reflect the richness of real-life interactions, and to give students experience in the kinds of settings that are going to be useful to them when they leave school. Assignments and curricula should integrate
opportunities to work collaboralively. Group projects, for example, are valuable learning opportunities.
In the higher education sphere, professors and administrators should encourage students to seek out real-world experiences. Colleges and universities could ask students to work cotlaboratively in the classroom and pursue internships and volunteer opportunities outside of it. Students should also look for critical growth opportunities within their extracurncular activities, rather than just viewing them as resume-fillers.
To conclude, jobs requiring high levels of social interaction are growing. In order to help graduates better prepare for their future career, changes should be considered in the education system.
