3.too…totoo…to意为“太……而不能……”。
too后面跟形容词或副词的原形,to后面跟动词原形。
可与so/su ch…that或not…enough to…进行句型转换。
如:He is too young to go to school.他太小了,不能上学。
4.patientpatient作形容词,意为“有耐心的”。
作名词,意为“病人”。
其反义词是impatient,副词形式是patiently。
名词是patience,意为“耐心”。
常用短语:be patient with…对……有耐心be patient to do sth.有耐心做某事be patient of…能忍受/容忍……5.The more you read,the faster you'll be.你读得越多,你读得就越快。

(3) Why do you like it?<设计意图> 首先,读会单词,帮助学生们解决语音问题,可以让他们在后面的问答上表达的更加流畅。
其次,设计的三个问题是关于故事的,通过三个问题的提问与回答,问题由易到难,鼓励学生勇于开口,为引入课题做铺垫。
StepⅡ Warming-up
1. 给学生展示中国民间故事,寓言故事的图片,回忆起童年听过或学过的故事。
2.在看图片的过程中大致了解故事人物,注意其英文表达。
Journey to the West、Hou yi Shoots the Suns例如:Yu Gong Moves a Mountain、Nu Wa Repairs the Sky<设计意图> 对这些民间故事学生们应该很熟悉,很容易调动他们的学习兴趣,但对他们的英文表达并不清楚。
通过图文并茂的形式,可以让学生们对这些故事标题的英文表达记忆更加深刻。
StepⅢ Listening
1. 引导学生仔细观察单元主题图中的四幅图片及句子
2. 预测并回答1b提出的问题:Which story is Anna and Wang Ming talking about?
3. 播放第一遍录音,学生验证自己的听前猜测,并独立完成1b
4. 问题,听第二遍录音①How does the story begin?②So what happened next?③Where would they put all the earth and stone from the mountains核对答案,要求学生以完整的句子回答
5. 播放第三遍录音,翻到阅读材料,边听边跟读,注意语音语调,部分句子较长,还要注意意群。
<设计意图> 图片是最直观的,因此最能引起学生的共鸣。
通过课本中的图片,一步一步引导学生说出本单元的关键句型,用红色笔凸显,加深学生的印象,让学生注意。
同时,也让同学们通过对故事的学习,领悟其中的道理。
StepⅣ Pair work
1. 让学生结合听力材料,并且头脑风暴,想出更多所学的寓言故事并编造对话,对编排优秀或有创意的学生及时肯定、表扬。
<设计意图> 由于此前的1a,1b活动中已积累了一些句子,因此操练对话能帮助学生进一步掌握目标语言。
同时,通过模仿语音语调,使学生的口语能力有更原汁原味的折射。
StepⅤ Listening
1. 让学生观察四幅插图,并引导学生尝试用短语及简单句子表述这些图片的内容,并进行猜测
2. 听2a,并核对答案。
3. 在2b中,先要求学生浏览句子,了解句子的大意并猜测god和remind的意思;其次让学生预测这些空可能选择哪个单词,让学生听听力选词,核对答案,核对答案时,要求学生完整朗读整儿句子,借此获取反馈,排除生词及理解障碍。
<设计意图> 由于该部分听力内容是有关愚公移山的图片。
学生们对这个故事应该是相当熟悉的,所以较容易猜出答案,降低了听力理解的难度。
但同时还是要引导他们学会看图,并且抓住关键词。
StepⅥ Group work
1. 让学生根据2a,2b所听内容,结合图片,叙述这个故事。
教师可以提供关键词帮助同学们更好的叙述故事:move….to , old and weak, as soon as , continue to, keep on digging, take away等等。
2. 让学生们对自己的表现及语言表达能力进行自我评价,在小组内评价,然后评出最“最佳表演组”,并鼓励学生们下一次争取做最优秀的小组及个人。
<设计意图> 学生们从小就学过这些寓言故事,经过一堂课的学习,学生已经掌握了一定的表达方式。
通过任务的设计、说明与布置,指导学生将自己的所思所想转化为语言输出。
利用表演的形式反馈,同时,鼓励学生勇于开口、大胆表演。
通过运用和表演,既复习新知,同时以竞争机制评出“最佳表演组”,促使学生们积极参与,让学生感受成功的愉悦,也活跃课堂。
StepⅦ Exercises
要求学生将独立完成练习,一定时间之后核对答案并讲解。
<设计意图> 练习是学生心智技能和动作技能形成的基本途径,课堂练习的目的在于使学生理解、掌握知识,是学生学习活动的一个必不可少的组成部分。
StepⅧ Role-play
1. 播放听力,让学生跟读磁带,了解对话大意。
2. 让学生齐声朗读对话,纠正读音,解答学生存在的语言障碍。
3. 让学生根据对话,整理各人的观点。

5. 讲解语言知识点:
(1) I think it’s a little bit silly.a little bit 意为“有点儿”,后常接形容词,同义短语为a little/a bit/kind of.当修饰不可数名词时,常用a bit of 或a little,意为“一点儿”。
e.g. I think the jeans are a little bit expensive. 我认为这条牛仔裤有点贵。
She just tasted a bit of the cake. 她只尝了一点蛋糕。
(2) But what could Yu Gong do instead of moving the mountains?但是不把山移开,愚公还能做什么呢?Instead adv.后接句子,放句首或句尾Instead of 是个介词短语,表示“代替;而不是”e.g. Would you pass me the sugar instead of salt.你能把糖递给我,而不是给我盐<设计意图> 分角色朗读课文,形象生动,如亲临其境,可以把注意力吸引到课文的内容中去,领略其中的含义,更能加深印象,不容易忘记。
其次,分角色朗读对话可以调动学生的积极性,提高表达能力。
而且,还能增加课堂气氛,营造出积极、活跃的课堂气氛。
