定语从句教学案例

一、教学目标
知识目标:理解运用定语从句,完成教科书中规定的任务。

能力目标:通过对语法的讲解和归纳使学生学会运用定语从句。

德育目标:使学生通过与教师一同归纳定语从句这一知识,培养他们独立分析问题解决问题的能力。

树立学生的信心,相信自己能行。

情感目标:通过学习调动他们的学习积极性。

使学生体会到英语的趣味性。

设计依据:《新课程标准》要求教师在教学中要以学生为主体,采用研究性学习方法,寓教于乐。

检验一节课成功与否,不是教师讲了多少,而是以学生的学习效果为评价标准,因此我在授课时加大了学生的课堂活动量,相信学生能在教师的引导下学会知识。

二、教学方法
以学生为主体,用多媒体辅助教学,通过帮助学生理解、归纳、总结、讨论等方式学习定语从句。

依据初三复习课特点,为了达到在较短的时间内使学生全面复习定语从句这一目的。

三、学法指导、自主学习、合作学习
四、教学过程
1、导入:通过对定语的理解,导入定语从句的概念,即:当修饰词是一个句子时被称为定语从句。

通常置于它所修饰的词之后,这种被
修饰的词叫做先行词,引导定语从句的关联词为关系代词和关系副词,关系代词在定语从句中可用作主语、宾语、定语等,关系副词在定语从句中只用作状语。

例句分析:
①The student who answered the question was John.
②I know the reason why he was so angry.
③A letter that is written in pencil is difficult to read.
④Is he the man that sells eggs?
⑤We told to Consult the Doctor ,which a device he took.
⑥I never heard such stories as he tells.
⑦Her attitude to him was quite the same as it had always Been.
⑧This is the Book for which you asked.
⑨This is the Book which you asked for.
⑩All who heard the story were amazed.
设计意图:使学生掌握定语从句的基本含义。

2、定语从句特例分析总结
①These are the people and things that interest me.
先行词有人有物时用that引导
②Something that we heard was of great truth.
当先行词是不定代词something anything everything nothing all时关系代词用that,指物。

③This is the very book that I'm looking for.
当先行词有序数词最高级或被all, some, any, the very ,the only, little, no, every, much等修饰关系代词一般用that。

④Who that you are talking to is the young fellow?
先行词如果是特殊疑问词,关系代词用that。

⑤You have such a book as he has.
先行词前有the same, such修饰,关系代词用固定词组搭配的词as来连接。

⑥whose + n.=the + n. + of which/ of which + the + n.
e.g. the window of which/ of which the window
⑦先行词是case, condition, situation, position, point, stage, occasion etc.当这些词在从句中充当状语时,其关系副词多用where,但如果充当宾语则用which, e.g.
This is one point (which) we must insist on.
⑧特殊定语从句:A)分裂式定语从句:
e.g. I was the only person in my office who was invited to the important ball.
B)插入式定语从句:
The story , I think ,she told me was not a true one.
C)省略式定语从句(prep +关系代词+ 不定式)
e.g. We need a room in which to put everything in.
但They can produce 2000 cars every month, most of which are shipped abroad.

设计意图:使学生从实例中掌握定语从句的特殊性。

3、定语从句与其他句型的整合
①It was in the house where he lived for five years that his son was born.
②---Where did you get to know her?
---It was in the office where we worked.(that I got to know her.)
③Liu Xiang, who was reported to have broken the record of 110-metre hurdle was surrounded by the reporters.
It was reported t hat …./ Sb. reported that ….
④He graduated in 1990, since when has lived abroad..
⑤He hid himself behind the door, from where he saw what was happening.
设计意图:定语从句与其他句型相结合,符合高考题型的出题方向与要求。

4、给出练习题,使学生在练习中巩固所学知识。

答案:例1 D,例2 A
在句1中,所缺部分为宾语,而where, that, on which都不能起到宾语的作用,只有the one既做了主句的表语,又可做从句的宾语,可以省略关系代词,所以应选D。

而句2中, 主、谓、宾俱全,从句部分为句子的状语表地点,既可用副词where,又因in the museum 词组,可用介词in + which 引导地点状语。

而此题中,介词on 用的不对,所以选A。

课堂小结:通过例子让学生总结定语从句的规律和特点,同时总结不同关系词的用法。

在这节课中,学生对定语从句这一语法项目有了不同程度的巩固和深化。
