Unit5 Travelling abroad一、教学目标:教学目标:1.复习和掌握定语从句的定义以及关系代词和关系副词的用法及功能,能够准确的选择定语从句的关系代词和关系副词。
2.提高学生对语法复习的兴趣和积极性,较好的掌握定语从句的用法,能够运用知识点解题。
能力目标:能够熟练运用定语从句的语法规那么组织含有定语从句的复合句。
情感目标:培养学生分析问题解决问题的能力,学会竞争与合作,建立自信心和集体荣誉感。
二、教学方法以学生为主体,尝试创新思维,联系实际采用讨论、协作、探究、竞争的教学模式,引导学生灵活的掌握语法知识。
三、教学手段采用多媒体计算机、网络利用多媒体计算机、网络资源创设教学情景、问题情景,扩大教学容量,增强教学的趣味性和时效性。
〔设计依据:《新课程标准》要求教师在教学中要以学生为主体,采用研究性学习方法,寓教于乐。
检验一节课成功与否,不是教师讲了多少,而是以学生的学习效果为评价标准。
因此我借助多媒体,以网络上一篇小短文导入语法定语从句,让学生通过观察和比较来学习定语从句的相关知识,力求使枯燥的语法生动趣味化;并且考虑学生英语基础的实际情况,教学过程也要表达素质教育的全体性,因此设计任务循序渐进〔如按“词→句→文〞递进〕,由浅入深,由易到难,导引学生参与整个学习过程,获得更佳的学习效果及发展智力,提高思维,观察,注意,记忆,想象,联想等能力。
〕四、课前准备1、布置学生熟记定语从句各关系代词和关系副词的用法。
2、教师准备相关多媒体课件。

Reading是一篇介绍中国女孩谢蕾在伦敦学习和生活的情况,让学生通过实例对比在国内学习生活与在国外学习生活的不同,从而培养他们的国际视眼。
三、学情分析1.情感和认知方面:学生对国外的学习生活情况了解是很感兴趣的。
在以往的学习阅读中对国外的生活学习也有所了解,但不是很具体。
这篇关于中国女孩在伦敦学习和生活情况的介绍和他们的生活比较贴近,在在预读,学习,讨论时会觉得比较亲近熟悉。
2.语言技能方面:我校大部分学生英语语言能力比较若,在思维上相对有较强的独立性,通过老师的引导和提示,一般能够从的文字资料中获取主要信息和基本的内容,能根据阅读目的运用适当的阅读策略完成阅读任务。
但一些学生的分析信息和处理信息的能力还欠缺,尤其是归纳总结能力。
四、教学目标1. 课时一:Warming Up and Reading Task“热身” (Warming Up) 部分设计了四个讨论题目,帮助学生在大脑中形成有关国外旅游的信息,让学生讨论在国外旅行会遇到什么问题,并且讨论该如何来解决这些问题。
这样就自然过渡到Reading Task (Page 82)——四个年轻人在国外旅游遇到问题的经历。
课时二:Reading“读前” (Pre-reading) 部分设计了两个问题,第一个问题要求采用与同学讨论交流的方式谈论在国外学习的利与弊,激发同学们的学习兴趣;第二个问题要求学生预测阅读课文中的主人公在英国学习可能遇到的困难和英国学校学习与中国学校学习的不同。
“阅读” (Reading) 部分介绍了主人公谢蕾第一次去国外求学进预科班时所面临的问题,以及房东和导师对她的帮助,要求学生明白国外学习的利与弊,培养正视困难、迎接挑战的信心。
课时三:Grammar ( 语法复习课)本单元的语法重点是复习非限制性定语从句(Non -restrictive Attributive Clause) 。
学生已经学过这个语法点,所以在这节课中,首先对非限制性定语从句的特征、关系词做一个简要回顾,然后通过多种形式的练习,如填写关系词、造句和改错等,使学生逐步掌握非限制性定语从句的用法。

Step 1: Lead in
[设计原则]:导入尽量要有鲜明的震撼;导入要精彩: 1)要引起学生的注意。
第二,激发学生的认知需求。
第三,形成学习期待。
[设计形式和授课情景再现]:
1. Teacher’s words1: As we know, the world is becoming smaller and smaller, so we have more chances to travel abroad. Some people world like to study abroad or stay abroad for some period. So, I have a question: What should we consider before we decide to stay abroad?
Students’ activities1: the whole class answer the questions together. (language, cash, culture, weather and so on)
Teachers’ words2: Yes. Just now, some students said, we should pay more attention to culture and language. It is right. Sometimes, even we think we have made good preparations, we may still meet with some difficulties. Here I give you an example:
Last year, we were sent to USA for teacher training. On one hand, we were excited to have the chance to broaden our horizon, on the other hand, sometimes we were confused. Now look at the picture ( a picture, showing different sets of knives and forks),we attended a formal dinner. But there were so many sets of knives and forks in front of us that we were afraid of making mistakes and losing faces for Chinese. This is a kind of “Culture Shock”.
So it is not easy to get used to the life abroad.
Students’ activities2 : The whole class listen carefully and in the end burst into laughter. 教师个人经历作用如下:1)引起学生的注意。

建构主义的学习观认为,学习不是被动接收信息刺激,而是主动地建构意义,是根据自己的经验背景,对外部信息进行主动的选择、加工和处理,从而获得自己的意义。
教师通过类比让学生以自己原有的知识经验为背景,对新知识进行认识和编码,从而建构自己的理解,也就比较容易掌握新知识。

单选做完了之后的学生讨论:心理上让学生有一种安全感。
大胆发表和交流自己的看法。
