[课 文 对 译] Secrets of the Gas Giant The CassiniHuygens space probe, which reached Saturn last week, has sent back amazing photographs of the planet's famous rings viewed in ultraviolet light. The pictures show them in shades of blue, green and red. The different colours show exactly what the rings are made of: the red means the ring contains tiny pieces of rock and the blue and green is likely to be a mixture of water and frozen gases. Saturn itself is made of gases. It is so light and it could float on water — if a big enough ocean could be found!

The health and physical conditions of pilots were,of course, very necessary.Only those in very good health and physical condition were chosen.
While being trained to be astronauts, they went through many courses. They studied the star and the moon, and they also studied geology, the science of rocks. This was necessary because astronauts would have to look for rocks on the moon. They would try to find rocks which might help to tell the age of the moon. They were all trained to fly in helicopters. These helicopters landed directly down to give them some experience of the way the spaceship would really land on the moon.

We find it necessary that we practice spoken English every day.
I am sure that he will succeed.
主语从句通 常由连接词that, whether,if和关系代词what, who, which, whatever, whoever以及关系副 词how, when, where, why等词引导。 Where the English evening party will be held has not yet been announced.
(1)It be+形容词(true,obvious,natural,,certain...)+
if_you_would_mind_making_less_noise.
4.Can you tell me where_the_library_is? 5.The news that_we_won_the_game is exciting.
自我探究 句1中划线部分在句子中作主语,是主语从句; 句2中划线部分在句子中作表语,是表语从句; 句3中划线部分在句子中作宾语,是宾语从句;
We can learn what we do not know.
He will talk to us about what he saw in the
US.
been decided yet.
It hasn’t been decided whether (if) we shall
attend the meeting.
It all depends (on) whether they will support us.
match is unknown. Answer my question whether you are coming.
Whether we shall attend the meeting hasn’t
