Firms are created to produce products or services.
Production Management
Production Management (also called operations management) is the management of the process in which resources are used to produce products or services.
O Whether a firm produces products or services, it needs a production process(also called conversion process),or a series of tasks in which resources are used to produce a product or service.
The goal of this chapter is to explain how a firm can make decisions in a manner that maximizes the firm’s value.
1. Resources Used for the Production Process
