The Diary of A Young GirlAnne FrankI hope I will be able to confide everything to you, as I have never been able to confide in anyone, and I hope you will be a great source of comfort and support. Is it because I haven’t been outdoors for so long that I’ve become so mitten with nature? I remember a time when a magnificent blue sky, chirping birds, moonlight and budding blossoms wouldn’t have captivated me. Things have changed since I came here. One night during the Pentecost holiday, for instance, when it was so hot, I struggled to keep my eyes open until eleven-thirty so I could get a good look at the moon, all on my own for once. Alas, my sacrifice was in vain, since there was too much glare and I couldn’t risk opening a window. Another time, several months ago, I happened to be upstairs one night when the window was open. I didn’t go back down until it had to be closed again. The dark, rainy evening, the wind, the racing clouds, had me spellbound; it was the first time in a year and a half that I’d seen the night face-to-face. After that evening my longing to see it again was even greater than my fear of burglars, a dark rat-infested house or police raids. I went downstairs all by myself and looked out the windows in the kitchen and private office. Many people think nature is beautiful, many people sleep from time to time under the starry sky, and many people in hospitals and prisons long for the day when they’ll be free to enjoy what nature has to offer. But few are as isolated and cut off as we are from the joy of nature, which can be shared by rich and poor alike. It’s not just my imagination---looking at the sky, the clouds, the moon and the stars really does make me feel calm and hopeful. It’s much better medicine than valerian or bromide. Nature makes me feel humble and ready to face every blow with courage! As luck would have it, I’m only able ---except for a few rare occasions---to view nature through dusty curtains tacked over dirt-caked windows; it takes the pleasure out of looking. Nature is the one thing for which there is no substitute!。

The Diary of Anne Frank

Anne Frank was a German-born Jewish girl from the city of Frankfurt. She gained international fame posthumously following the publication of her diary which documents her experiences hiding during the German occupation of the Netherlands in World War II. Anne and her family moved to Amsterdam in 1933 after the Nazis gained power in Germany, and were trapped by the occupation of the Netherlands, which began in 1940. As persecutions against the Jewish population increased, the family went into hiding in July 1942 in hidden rooms in her father Otto Frank’s office building. After two years, the group was betrayed and transported to concentration camps. Seven months after her arrest, Anne Frank died of typhus in the Bergen-Belsen concentration camp, within days of the death of her sister, Margot Frank. Her father Otto, the only survivor of the group, returned to Amsterdam after the war to find that her diary had been saved, and his efforts led to its publication in 1947. It was translated from its original Dutch and first published in English in 1952 as The Diary of a Young Girl. Anne Frank has been acknowledged for the quality of her writing, and has become one of the most renowned and discussed of Holocaust victims.

• This book is important because it is a first hand account of one of the most vicious acts of inhumanity in the histor y of this planet. Anne Frank's diary is an honest, intimat e portrayal of a unique individual living in an extremely di fficult and dangerous time in history. She shows us that no matter what is occuring in the world around us, we as humans all share many of the same qualities-emotion, passion, love, desire, hope, fear, and strength. Not only does her story educate us about an important hi storical event, but it reminds us of the importance of lear ning to accept our differences and embrace diversity.
• We can learn many things from The Diary of Anne Frank. This book is about survival . It's about prejudice. It teaches how there is nobility in human compassion. And it's also about a young girl trying to survive ad olescence. Many teens can relate to such a book because Anne goes through all of t he normal adolescent trials in life, even tho ugh she's locked up. Anne has a difficult r elationship with her mother, as most young girls do. She often says things to hurt her mother, yet she can't help her temper and continues to do so as time goes on.

I remember a time when a magnificent blue sky, chirping birds, moonlight and budding blossoms wouldn’t have ca ptivated me.Things have changed since I came here. One night during the Pentecost holiday, for instance, when it was so hot, I struggled to keep my eyes open until eleven-thirty so I could get a good look at the moon, all on my own for once.Alas, my sacrifice was in vain, since there was too much glare and I couldn’t risk opening a window.Another time, several months ago, I happened to be upstairs one night when the window was open.I didn’t go back down until it had to be closed again. The dark, rainy evening, the wind, the racing clouds, had me spellbound;it was the first time in a year and a half that I’d seen the night face-to-face.After that evening my longing to see it again was even greater than my fear of burglars, a dark rat-infested house or police raids.I went downstairs all by myself and looked out the windows in the kitchen and private office. It’s much better medicine than valerian or bromide.Nature makes me feel humble and ready to face every blow with courage! As luck would have it, I’m only able---except for a few rare occasions---to view nature through dusty curtains tacked over dirt-caked windows;it takes the pleasure out of looking.Nature is the one thing for which there is no substitute!第二篇:安妮的日记英文读后感[范文模版]安妮的日记英文读后感安妮的日记英文读后感not long ago i just read the english version of diary of anne frank.in fact, this is not the first time i read this book.when i first read it in elementary school, and read the chinese version.then still small, still can not read, that means nothing.now it seems there feeling very deeply.from her diary, i can imagine she was helpless, fear, but a more leisurely and calm.this is a great girl.after reading the diary of anne frank, my heart is very heavy.nazi racial discrimination, maiming and killing innocent pretty much the same as annes children.war is always nasty, it makes human experience is a market catastrophe.thank you diary of anne frank and let people see the ugliness of war, to get people to think about and condolences for the unfortunate people.

The Diary of Anwas a German-born Jewish girl from the city of Frankfurt.

Anne’s DiaryAnne Frank liked to write in her diary. When she was 13, her family had to run away from their home. There was a war. People wanted to hurt them. They had to hide. They did not have much food to eat. They felt crowded into a few rooms.“Why do you write so much?” cried her sister. “Why not hel p Mother cook and clean?”“I love to write,” Anne replied. She wrote about how she was scared. But she also wrote about the good times she had with her family. She was a brave girl and a good writer. Now, Anne’s diary helps us to know what her life was lik e during a war. When we read it, we feel sad. We feel mad at people who wanted to hurt her and her sister. But we also feel brave and full of hope, just like Anne.

Anne Frank
I hope I will be able to confide everything to you, as I have never been able to confide in anyone, and I hope you will be a great source of comfort and support.
