提高自己的英语水平关键还是在于同学们FI常的学习和积累。
在平时的英语学习屮要努力做到以下两点：第一，自主学习，充分强调自己学习的能动性；第二，合作学习，强调周围环境及同学之I'可合作的重要性。
要学好机电专业英语，首先必须掌握专业词汇,这些专业词汇比学生学习基础英语的词汇更难以记住,容易被遗忘。
教师首先应当要求学生读正确每个单词，帮助学生分析专业词汇的特点，在此基础上引导学生掌握构词法，并经常采用不同形式的方法巩固记忆,扩大专业词汇量。
同时，注重专业英语课堂中对部分长难句的翻译方法和翻译技巧的讲解，使学生不仅理解课文，而且逐渐常握自己学习理解的能力。
三・、针对学生情况，合理运用双语教学。
专业英语听说读写各方面都较基础英语更难，比如前面所提到的部分长难句，教师仅采用英语授课，学生接受起来会比较困难，其至部分机电专业学生只知专业英语的表述而不知中文表述，同样无法达到教学要求，故主张合理分配运用双语教学，这样，可以帮助学生逐步实现用英语进行专业知识学习和交流的目标，在更高层次上掌握和运用英语。
四、专业理论和实践相结合。
