定势概念应用到跨文化交际上后,称为文化定势。

文化定势指人们在跨文化交际研究或跨文化实际交往中对不同文化背景的民族和国家成员的笼统的,简单的看法,或指一个群体对另一群体成员按某种先入为主的标准或尺度的概括的、形象化的认知。

这些标准或尺度带有较大的主观性,是一种思维方式,一种无视群体内部存在差异、无视普遍性还存在特殊性的思维方式。

(2)分类文化定势可分为“自定势”和“他定势”两类。
