Introduction
In this paper, a skills audit to identify, review and assess own performance against management skills will be undertaken. Second, an analysis of personal strengths, weakness, opportunities and threats will be carried out. Third, supervisor objectives and targets to develop own potential will be set, prioritized and agreed with. Fourth, how own managerial and personal skills will support career development in a service industry will be explained. Fifth, a development plan to reflect career and personal development aspirations, current performance and future needs will be devised.
Own Performance against Management Skills
First of all, the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) will be undertaken as a skills audit to identify, review and assess own performance against management skill. The MBTI assessment is a psychometric questionnaire designed to measure psychological preferences in how people perceive the world and make decisions. And the MBTI typology model regards personality type is divided into four pairs of preferences or dichotomies, and each dichotomy has two directions. Totally, there are eight kinds of personality traits are shown in the table:
Secondly, through the MBTI report, my personality type is (Introvert, intuition, Feeling, Perceiving).My personality is as follows:
1.Good at thinking and reflection, pay attention to the accumulation, strong adaptability, ability to perform force and respond to emergencies.
2.New knowledge and the ability of learning is also very strong.
3.Wide range of interests, minded and flexible, and a sense of responsibility;
4.Be good at praise and encourage others, and full of compassionate can better understand the needs and motivation of others.
However, the disadvantages of my personality are:
1.Too idealistic to ignore the reality of the basis and details;
munication is not good enough, so that others can not clearly understand According to my personality, my performance is careful, cautious and thoughtful person. In addition, I can also find the performance of the significance, orderly arrangement, make decisions with others. My management skills can focus on the growth and development to help others, such as performance, assistant, logistics personnel in the second place, my management skills are on behalf of the company, the company's daily routine.
An Analysis of Personal SWOT
SWOT Analysis is a strategic planning method used to evaluate the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats of myself. A SWOT Analysis must first start with defining a desired end state or objective.
✧Strengths: attributes of the person that are helpful to achieving the objective.
✧Weaknesses: attributes of the person that are harmful to achieving the objectives.
✧Opportunities: external/ conditions that are helpful to achieving the objectives.
✧Threats: external/ conditions which could do damage to the objective.
Furthermore, summary my personal SWOT Analysis can be through my family, relatives and some appropriate tests. Here is my personal SWOT Analysis:
