So this is a friend of mine I was at school with. After finishing our education with both went in different directions, and I didn’t see her again for thirty years when we met up againcompletely by chance in a different city where we were both now living. It’s actually quite hard to describe ‘what she does’ because that is part of her style, she does lots of different things, and it seems wrong somehow to pigeon hole her with just one activity She makes a living through running her own business making specially decorated biscuits which she supplies by mail order. But she is the sort of person who always has a multitude of things on the go at any one time. She is involved in many sports clubs, on the organising committee for the local scouts (a national youth organisation) - including arranging an annual Guy Fawkes’ Night bonfire and firework display for many years which is their main fundraising event; and on top of that she is always initiating new – to me ambitious – projects like holding a huge birthday party or suggesting an outing further afield. What makes this friend a good leader is hard to pinpoint. I don’t think it is any one thing, it is rather a combination of positive characteristics. She is very energetic, so prepared to work hard to get things done. She is optimistic, inclined to see opportunities and possibilities where other people might be put off by potential problems. This energy and optimism engages other people. You can be confident if you invest time and energy in supporting her ideas they will happen, it won’t be a waste of time. She is also incredibly well organised, with an attention to detail. This is important for morale! It means that if you turn up in the pouring rain to, I don’t know, build a bonfire or erect a tent, she will have thought of things that make it fun. You will find a gas bottle fuelled urn of bubbling hot water to make tea to keep you going, or maybe at a certain time a mass order of scalding hot chips, wrapped in paper from the local chip shop will appear as if by magic to keep everyone going for a couplemore hours. She has an ability to network, which means if one of her projects require some particular expertise she’ll almost inevitably know someone who knows someone that will get it done for free. It is inspiring to be involved in her projects, you get a great sense of satisfaction working together as part of a team, confident that the person driving it all forwards knows what needs to be done, and that it will be enjoyable along the way. When whatever project it is has finished, she always remembers to thank you and let you know for example how much money was raised, or how many people attended. It is quite a skill.Leadership is not easy. A good leader in my view inspires and motivates others to do their best, rather than tells people what to do. By believing in you, they can help you believe in yourself, and then everyone together achieves far more than they ever could on their own, and probably a great deal more than they thought possible at the outset… If only my managers and bosses in the workpl ace had such good leadership skills I think I’d get a lot more done!最新雅思口语part2预测话题:Describe a leader you admire Describe a leader you admireYou should say:who this person is;how you know this person;what skills he or she has for leadership;and explain why you think he or she is a good leader.思路最钦佩的领袖:富兰克林?罗斯福介绍人物:美国第32任总统,美国历史上唯一连任四届的总统。

friendIntro: The person I enjoy talking with is my university classmate Song, who was in the same classroom and the same dorm with me during the unforgettable four years study in NanJing. Since we looked very alike each other and went to our cafeteria side by side, many people thought we were twins. Indeed, we are buddies all the time.As we(share many same interests )have a lot of things in common with each other, we often talk about anything (when we are available ,sometimes on MSN, and sometimes over our mobile phones)whenever we want. Topics are from study to work, from sports to girls. Our favorite topic is football. We often share and exchange our ideas about one game on the line while we are watching it. Every time when we chat, we forget the time. (交谈的原因,内容,目的)Another reason I enjoy talking with him is due to his good personality. Song is the person I can always rely on and trust. I told him every secret I had when I felt happy or felt down, then he shared my happiness and sadness with me. He is never jealous of me when I am in luck, and never turn his back on me when I am in trouble (adversity).I still remember how patiently and hardly he comforted me on the day I broke up with my girlfriend. I was so grateful for the words he told me: don ' t be so sad. There is another better girl waiting for you. (个人品质介绍,引出的故事)In a word, song is not only a good talking partner, but a good listener, a trustworthy guy. Having him as my buddy is my luck! It is just like the saying: a faithful friend is hard to find 知音难觅(评价)Father (middle-aged )The person I' d like to talk about is my father, who is the editor-in-chief of Shanghai Daily.Although he retired two years ago, yet I still can remember his passion for his career. He is always so professional, competent and knowledgeable in his area.Father was once given/awarded the top 10 editor-in-chief in shanghai.Another issueI also admire his personality. You see, he' s very friendly, hospitable and outgoing.People in our neighbourhood like to discuss with him about their problems, father also likes to share specialty food he brought from other provinces with neighbours.Actually, what I learnt most from father is to maintain a positive attitude towards life, never give up. Father is ambitious, adventurous and audacious. He went through a lot of hardship before he became a successful editor. But he never surrendered, he told me to persist in the face of adversity award, best main actor. Mentally retarded person, to become a successful fishing tycoon.Old peopleWell, Talking about an interesting old person, it reminds me of my grandpa who used to be an mechanical engineer in a construction company. Now he is in mid 70s, retired at home, but looks very amiable and energetic. He is medium built , but a little bit overweight. (外形,性格特点) But actually there' re something much more important than the appearance. My grandpa is a man of many interests. He loves doing anything from reading to fishing, from watching political news to listening to pop music. We called him a Mr. know everything. Because whenever you ask him what is going on in the world, he can tell you what you want. (兴趣简介)The most interesting thing about him is his fashion sense(引出重点). Once when I talked about the “ Chinese idol competition ” with my sister on the dinner table, my grandpa suddenly gave his comments on every competitor ,and told us the champion he predicted, it really surprised us. It was really amazing that We never thought a man over 70s can still enjoy those TV shows and loves what young people loves. It totally changed my view on him, soon he became a member of us, from then, I felt we are closer than before. Another interesting thing about my grandpa is he can use internet, last year I boughthim a PC, he soon learnt how to use it, and can even use online video camera chat with my parents who lives in another city in china. All I can say about my grandpa is: he is such an out-going person , and has great sense of humor. we love him very much. there is no generation gap between us , only joy.A childMy uncle ' s son- Tom who is about 6 years old, has chubby cheeks and twinkling eyes. Besides that, he has got curly dark hair. In people ' s eye, he is a very adorable and a premature boy.In kindergarten, he loves showing himself off. Singing, dancing, telling storyIt was really amazing :when he saw I walking in with my girlfriend, he asked: are you in love with each other? When do you get married? When do you want to have a baby? I have a girlfriend too.The only thing he is similar to my childhood is that we both love showing off.(if the child is a girl- she is so obsessed with her beauty, we called her Miss. Mirror)A neighborLee is a good neighbor as well as a good friends for me.I've known him since I first moved here. He has bee n livi ng next door to us for 5 years. We are in the same age, and studying in the same school . so we walk to school every day and became closer with each other. We have one thing in common that is basketball. Because though chinese athletes have gained more international recognition these days, yet there is still not much progress in track field, however, Liu's performance was absolutely a breakthrough for the nation. Each of us was hugely amazed and impressed by his performance.More importantly, he is not only the pride for china, but pride for all yellow people, for he broke the dominance of black people in the track field, creating a miracle that yellow-skinned people have the same strength or ever stronger potential in track field.(I also know he sings very well, I heard some entertainment company wants to publish an album for him)A young man full of drive, competent and ambitious sporting spirite like Liu, is really my idol for me to follow, that ' s why I like him very much.。

Describe a famous person that you admireThe famous person I'd like to describe is Fu Mingxia. She was a gold medallist at Sydney Olympic games. In fact, she won four of them. She won them in the diving competition. She's now a student at Tsinghua University. So she's quite clever and she will graduate from a top university. She's about 25 years old. I think she must be blessed by god to be able to dive so perfectly. After all, most divers have trained in diving schools that are very sophisticated, but her training was not so privileged. She just worked hard and had a very committed coach.I think I admire her so much because I can imagine how nervous she felt having the whole world watching her and yet she controlled that nervousness masterfully to make a perfect dive. Well, its that ability to control yourself that I'd really love to learn. Also, her diving style wasunique and very-brave, and because of her innovative style, she has brought pride to her country.I think that people can learn that by being the best at something you are not only helping yourselfbut the whole country, because high quality is what improves our lives. I think people can learn that nothing is impossible if we set our minds to being the best. We shouldn't always think we can just do what we must to get by. Our goals should be much more ambitious. We should try to be the best because we can take pride from the value of hard work in everything we do.。
列举一位你欣赏的领导者英文作文

You should say:- who this person is- (how he or she became a leader)- what this person did (has done) that you admire- how you know this person or know about this personand explain how ( = why) this leader's qualities impressed you.范文Times need heroes, and heroes stand out. Franklin Roosevelt is just a hero of the times. Well known for his unprecedented 13 years as the President of U. S. , he is regarded as a savior of America. However, it is not his brilliant achievements that attract me. What I really admire are some qualities shining in his whole life such as fortitude, courage and also his amiability. His early time, I mean before his forties, was smooth. He was born rich and had a happy marriage. After graduating from Harvard, he served in the Navy. At that time, he had already shown his remarkable leadership and since his uncle was a President, he would surely enter the political arena. But everything changed when he was 39. Healthy and strong as he was, he was attacked by polio after swimming, which caused the life long deformity in his legs. It was extremely hard for this ambitious man to face the misfortune. He was, of course, in a bad moodand wanted to give up all his dreams at first. Then, after careful thinking, he finally decided to bestir himself. He was not a man easy to surrender. Again he took part in political activities and, at the same time, practiced standing up and then walking with a stick. Eventually this brave man won the battle against fate. He became the only disabled President in American history and unprecedentedly served four terms. All should be attributed to his fortitude."The only thing we fear is fear itself." This famous saying now has spread all over the world and encouraged lots of people. Roosevelt first said it, and as a great leader, he made all his people believe it. He practiced what he preached for he was surely a courageous person challenging the tradition. He formulated new policies to help his nation out of the Depression. He declared war against Fascists though most of the Congressmen opposed him at that time. All proved that he was right for his courage was not rash but based on careful thinking. "A leader is one who dares to dream, and then, dares to achieve."He was great, but not great in appearance. He looked like a kind grandpa at the first sight. He initiated the fireside chat to express his ideas and explain his policies in a relaxed atmosphere on radio. He always smiled sincerely when speaking and listening. These didn't lower his prestige but made him amiable and welcome. He is surely not a perfect man no one can be perfect. Every age has its hero in the forefront, just like Franklin Roosevelt, a man I admire.

1.In your culture, what kinds of people can be leaders?Well, generally Chinese people think a leader should be able to clarify direction through strategies and provide guidance for other people. So leaders must be individuals who establish and reinforce core behavioral values, select the talent and provide guidance for decision-making and on-going talent development.2.Has there been a change in the characteristics that leaders should have?Um...well,I think the historic view of the leader is one of command and control, where the leader takes a strong role in issuing directives and enforcing their execution. However, in today's fast-changing world, the leader should be more concerned with ensuring clarity around overall direction and finding ways to support key resources and teams in their pursuit of strategy.3.Many women are earning more money now, does it mean that they can be leaders?Well, women can definitely be leaders. In fact, they can be great leaders. In our world today, many successful women occupy high positions in a company or even in a government and it’s not uncommon at all. Hilary Clinton, for instance, is even fairly likely to be president of the United States. My mom runs a small clothing company and there are over 100 people working for her. So, yeah, I don’t think it’s because women are earning more that they can be leaders. Men and women are the same and aslong as you’re capable, you can be a leader, regardless of your gender.4.Who makes decisions in your family? In my family, who shall make decisions relies on what the thing is. If it is just something trivial like buying household goods, my mom would deal with the trifles directly, with no need to ask opinions from my dad and me. But if it is something huge like purchasing a new apartment or a car, then we will have a very formal family meeting. We each express our views and finally we will take a vote and come to an agreement.5.Who is more important, the manager or the workers? Both of them are essential and indispensable. Without manager, a company is like a ship without a captain. The company will then lose the overall view of the market and it will get lost in the open ocean. In the same way, without employees, the company is like a ship without sailors. No matter how a superior knows the navigation direction, the company won’t proceed towards the goal and it will be left behind and swept away by the waves.6.Is it good for a manager to ask workers for advice when he/she makes decisions? Why? What's the advantage of it?Definitely, it is beneficial for a director to ask advice from employees before he or she makes decisions. First and foremost, it is the employees who fulfill a task every day. When a manager comes up with a new idea, it is very likely that parts of the idea might be utopian and infeasible. To engage workers allows a superior to look at a potential project in a more down-to-earth way before huge investments are made.。
2018年5月雅思口语Part2预测:崇拜的领袖

(图片转自百度)崇拜的领袖 Describe a leader or politician who you admire. You should say:Who is s/ he?What is so appealing about him? What type of leader is he/ sheand explain why do you admire him /her.
I'd like to talk about Steve Jobs. I think he is a very important leader for this time in history. Like many famous leaders in the past he changed the way we see things and do things through his innovation and creativity. Some people may think he just invented the Apple Mac computer and a phone, but the inventon or device which really changed everything was the iPhone. It made people rethink what a phone could be and should be and as we can now see it has been the catalyst behind much of the smartphone technology and developments since it was first launched. Current smartphone technology now makes online shopping even easier and accessing any kind of information online which has fundamentally transformed our daily bahavior.Maybe if he hadn't launched the iPhone, someone lese would have done something similar evetually, but he had the vision and the creativiuty to do it first and that always makes a difference. I don't think he planned to become a world influencer or business leader, he simply had a company which innovated something that impacted on thedaily lives of many people in a big way.The qualitites that he had; being an innovator, being able to see things in a different way and conceptualize other ways of doings things, some people would call it being visionary are what impress me most abut him. He changed the way we interact with each other through mobile devices and that has had a tremendous impact on modern life and the other technology developments that have followed on the back of it. The world will never be the same as it was before the iPhone came along.雅思口语part3话题Do you want to be a leader?Well. I don’t want to be a leader as being a leader means a lot of pressure. What you do is going to be the focus of others. If you make a wrong move, maybe the whole team is going to fail. What qualities should a leader have?A good leader is supposed to have sharp insight. He or she should know when to take actions to compete with his opponents in business. How do you think we can improve the leaders qualities? They may take the courses for the leaders. They should learn how to cope with people of different personalities. They should also take the advice from others.Do you think a leader should be perfect in all fields? Not necessarily. The most important quality for a leader is the strategy of managing people. He should have the charm of attracting elites from all walks of life. Why do we need a leader?A leader is going to give us global views and tell us when to take the right action. As long as we follow their instructions, we are going to succeed. What can they do?Leaders are going to make plans for us. allocate the tasks between us. Also. they know what the best solution is for a problem. Why do some people not want to be leaders?Well, for me. a leader means a lot of responsibilities. Other people’s future relies on me. I have to be extremely cautious. I don’t want to worry about this all the time. What is the world going to be like without leaders?I guess the world is going to be a chaos. People’s life and property cannot be protected. People are not going to have a safe life any longer. Anything can happen to them.Is the communication skill important to a leader? This skill is really essential to leader. They are supposed to express their ideas to their employees. They should also have negotiation with leaders of other organizations. That’s why they must have this kind of skill. Is it important for leaders to take other people’s advice? They should listen to other people’s advice. but they are going to make the final decision. As long as they believe that their moves are definitely correct. they should do it.Do you think leaders are the examples of people?I guess so. A lot of people admire them. and they should set a good example. Common people may want to learn from their experiences.。

讲述一个你崇拜的领导者的经历英语作文Title: The Exemplary Experience of a Leader I AdmireThere are leaders who leave an indelible mark on history, and their experiences inspire millions. One such leader I deeply admire is Nelson Mandela. His journey from an anti-apartheid activist to the first black President of South Africa is a testament to resilience, forgiveness, and the pursuit of equality.Mandela"s struggle against apartheid, a system of racial segregation, led to his imprisonment for 27 years.During this time, he became a symbol of hope and resistance for the oppressed. His leadership was characterized by unwavering determination, even in the face of adversity. After his release in 1990, Mandela played a pivotal role in ending apartheid and establishing a multiracial democracy. His approach to leadership was inclusive and forgiving.Instead of seeking revenge, he worked towards reconciliation, understanding that unity was essential for the progress of his nation. One of the most remarkable aspects of Mandela"s leadership was his ability to inspire and motivate others. He believed in the power of education and used his influence to promote literacy and equality in South Africa. His charisma and dedication to the cause made him a beloved figure both locally and internationally.Mandela"s experience taught me that a true leader is someone who stands up against injustice, even at great personal cost. His life demonstrated that leadership is not about personal gain, but about serving a greater good.Mandela"s legacy continues to inspire me to strive for a more just and equal world.---标题:我崇拜的一位领导者的经历有许多领导者,他们的经历在历史中留下了不可磨灭的印记,激励着数百万人。

雅思口语真题范文part2人物类:崇拜的一个领导范文:
I'd like to talk about Yingzheng who's the first emperor of Qin Dynasty. He's the one who conquered all the other Warring States and unified all of China more than 2000 years ago. He's always been my idol because of his superb leadership skills and creativity. First of all, the title “emperor” was his invention. And after he established Qin Dynasty, he built the Great Wall to defend his country against enemies, which has become a human wonder in the world. And according to our history textbook, he invented a new road system, as well as the unification of measurement. In ancient China, people in different states used various characters and languages, and they even don't have the same measurement, which made the communication between states unbearably inconvenient. During his reign, he standardized the Chinese units of measurements like weights and measures, the currency and the length of the carts, so that vehicles can run conveniently on the new road system. As a leader, he's also decisive and forward-looking. He's the first leader in the Warring States Period who performed far-reaching reforms. And he attached great importance to the law, so people in his country could be more civilized and educated.
雅思口语真题范文part2人物类:崇拜的一个领导范文二:
I'd like to talk about Steve Jobs who was the co-founder of Apple Company. Actually, I have never read his biography or watched movies about him. I knew his life story from a speech he gave in a graduation ceremony. You know in America, celebrities are always invited to address the graduating class, to say something encouraging and inspiring. Well, anyway, I was shocked by the fact that he didn't even finish college, I mean, what he did is incredible for a dropout. I believe that's all because of his creative thinking and leadership skills/management skills. Just like his advertising slogan “think different”, he always managed to think out of the box. We can see that from his products. The Apple products have been customers' favorite brand since the day they were put on the market. People, especially younger generation, are crazy about the modern design and state-of-the-art operating system. He had his ups and downs during his career, and he even left Apple once. But after leaving the company, he did something that once again blew our mind. He took a few members with him to found another company, the one that deals with the most advanced technology. I guess he just had this incredible personal charisma that made everyone supportive of him. I'm sure if I read his biography, I would get to know him better and become more respectful of him.
