Lesson 1 EQ:IQ

This lesson is a reading passage.

1. It plays a very important part in the English teaching of this unit.

2、This lesson is the second part of Unit 1which is helpful to make the Ss learn the rest of this unit, for the task in the unit is to practice reading and there are some sentences which can be used to introduce the grammar.

3、Of course, the Ss should receive some moral education. Let the Ss understand that success comes with a high EQ, which can be improved

1.Get students to learn the useful words and expressions in this unit.

KEY WORDS

Hair: bald, dark, fair, red, shoulder–length, straight, short blond, curly, long, wavy

Age: in her/his (early/mid/late)teens/twenties/thirties, middle–aged elderly

Special features: eyebrows, moustache, ponytail beard, wrinkle

General: good–looking, short, tall, well–built overweight, slim

IQ stands for an intelligence quotient (智商) which tells you how smart you are and EQ stands for emotional quotient (情商) which tells you how well you use your smartness.
