Today the topic of my speech is fear.There are many kinds of fears in our life such as agoraphobia,fear of work,fear of the dark,fear of flying,claustrophobia,or even fear of public speaking.

Ok,I have to say you'd be astounded at the number of people in the world who have an irrational fear of something.It's more than you'd think.Some people are scared of death,which is called necrophobia.(I am convinced that most people will be afraid when they see the lifeless body.Of course,maybe exclude the bodies of animals)Well,I find there are many people especially girls ,more or less ,got the ually,these people refuse to watch from the high places.Furthermore they will give you the common voice :'The view freaks me out.I will never ,never,never forgive you!!!'when you warmheartedly push them to enjoy the beautiful sightseeing on a high building.Claustrophobia can be defined in general terms as an irrational fear of enclosed spaces.People diagnosed with the phobia are typically scared of being trapped,unable to escape quickly and easily from the enclosed area.Airplanes,crowded rooms,elevators and subways are all examples of situations in which claustrophobe might feel distress.

A boy once said that his stomach was tied up at the thought of speaking in front of all those people and even had nightmares for days beforehand.

A girl refused to go outside in order to keep herself safe.That made she lose jobs as well as friends.

A man washes his hands once an hour because he was afraid of the germs on his hands.

A woman is always horrified at the thought of her home being broken into because there has been a lot of break-ins near where she lived.

Phobias can be embarrassing for the suffers.They are usually aware that the fear is irrational,which may cause them to feel ridiculous or get annoyed with themselves.At the same time time,they cannot control the symptoms such as fainting,racing heart,shaking and sweating.

Here are some tips :

The key is to take small steps at first.

Do not rush into anything;it'll only make things worse.

Set small goals first,then gradually make them more challenging.

Think positively about your progress.

Be optimistic about what you want to achieve.

Take up a competitive sport to get a better sense of control.

If you still cannot get rid of your phobia,why not consult a professional or a doctor for help?They will give you both physical and medical cure.

Say bye bye to your fear!Life is fresh and you can restart your life whenever you want.
