VI Summarizing as the following:
It is hard for parents and children to really understand one another. And there does exist a generation gap. But I think it is even harder for children to understand their parents. Parents see their children grow up; they see them laugh when they are happy and cry when they are sad or hurt; they know what their children like and what they don’t like. As a rule, children know very little about their parents when they were children; and parents usually try to conceal their true feeling and emotions from their children. That’s why the 16-year-old boy in our story was very much shocked one day when he saw his mother crying for the first time.
