My Middle School Life

I like my school life. I go to school by bike in the morning and get to school on time from Monday to Friday. There are eight classes every day and we study for about eight hours at school. We have many kinds of subjects and learn a lot. After class, we take part in all kinds of school activities, such as playing basketball, playing chess and so on. We all have a lot of fun.

We often help each other and we get on well with (和…相处融洽) our teachers.

My middle school life is meaningful (有意义的) and colourful.

I will forget it forever（永远）.

The Spring Festival

The Spring Festival is the most important festival in China. It usually comes in January or February. It means the beginning of a new year and the coming of spring. All the family members get together and have a big dinner at home. Children are the happiest because they can have winter holidays. They wear nice and new clothes and get lucky money (压岁钱). Dumplings are traditional food. The Spring Festival lasts about 15 days. People visit relatives (亲戚) and friends with the words “Happy New Year!”, “Good Luck!”. In some places, people have some kinds of dances and other colourful activities to celebrate it. What a happy festival it is!

How to learn English well

As we know , English has become an international language. It is more popular than any other language in China. English is widely spoken in the world and it is the most useful language around the world. But how to learn it well?

The best way to learn English is to use it all the time. If we can talk in English and think in English, we can learn it well. You should read English books, magazines and newspapers as many as possible. And you should keep a diary in English every day. At school, we should learn to hear, speak, read and write carefully. We should spend enough time in practicing English. If we keep on working hard at English, we will be able to be good at it one day.

昨天晚上我和妈妈散步，路上遇到一个外国人。他向我问温泉饭店（the Hot Spring Hotel）的路。我告诉他沿着路往前走，在第三个转弯处向左转就能看见一个公园，饭店就在公园对面。

I went out for a walk with my mother last night. We met a foreigner on the road. He didn’t know the way to the Hot Spring Hotel. He asked where it was. I said to him, “ Walk along this road, and take the third turning on the left ( = turn left at the third turning). Then you will see a park in front of you. Across the park is the Hot Spring Hotel!” He thanked me a lot. And I was happy to help him.
