1.Q: What can you tell me about yourself?

A: Since my childhood, my mother has taught me tobe strong, independent and optimistic. She wishes me to be gentle but not weak,persistent but not stubborn, sticking to my own opinions but willing to hearabout others’ suggestions. It’s a high standard I will try my best to reach.And I’ m a persistent and self-control person. I like to plan my work and workmy plan. For instance, since my second year in university, I have kept a habitof reading English every morning and reviewing what I learnt in the evening. 2.Q: What is your greatest strength?

A: My ability to stick to things until they’vebeen done. Once I set up my mind to do something, I never give up easily. But I’mnot those as stubborn as a mule. When things really go wrong, I will adjustmyself at the right moment. I’m also good at planning my work. When a thingturns out just as I’ve planned, I will feel a real sense of accomplishment.

3. Q: What is your greatest weakness?

A: Sometimes I’m a little shy. And I’m notthe type of person who gets very friendly with someone in a short time. I takeit slow. It’s a weakness, to some degrees. But I am trying my best to get rid of it.

4. Q: describe your best friend and what he orshe does for a living

A: First of all, I have many friends, it’sreally hard to say who is the best. If I have to choose, maybe they are myroommates in college. Qiao, a very cute girl, she’s good at comforting you whenyou are sad, though sometimes she’s gossipy. (笑。。) Tong, she got her nickname because she likes washing her head in abarrel. She’s always calm and gives you suggestions when you need. Jiajia, sheis one of the perfect girls I’ve ever seen, pretty, diligent and competent. Theyare all working hard to realize their dreams. Qiao’s going to study in Shanghaiwhere is also her hometown. Jiajia’s going to study abroad. And Tong wants tobe a student of **.

5. Q: In what ways are you similar ordifferent from your best friend?

A: Everyone’s born to be different. But weare the same in our sincerity, so we have been living together for more than 4years, but we never have a quarrel. To mention the difference, it’s hard tosay. I’m not as calm as Tong, I sometimes get anxious and I’m quieter thanQiao. But I must be the most hardworking, because it’s always me who mops

6. Q: Are you a happy person?

A: Yes, I am. But I sometimes get sad, ofcourse. I’m an optimistic girl and I have parents who love me so much. I havemany friends who are willing to help me when I confront difficulties. So,overall, I’m a happy person.

7. Q: What do you do in your spare time?

A: I like reading English novels, watching Englishmovies and plays. And I’d like to take a walk after supper, sometimes alone,thinking about things, sometimes with my friends, talking. And being an internin the hospital, there are many interesting things. I like to take them down inmy diary every night. I call my diary “A mao’s intern diary”. 关于梦想dreams and motivations

1.Q: What would you like to be doing five years after graduation?

A: If possible, I will go abroad to further my education. I want to continue my research in oncology. And I hope I can have some achievement in my major.

speak it in Chinese. It’s a little difficult for me to express my thoughts on this subject.

A:科研型其实当时选择科研型并不是像很多同学那样不想与病人接触。相反，我挺喜欢接触不同的人，听他们讲各种丰富多彩的故事。但是我知道，学术型与专业型，鱼与熊掌不可兼得，必须有所取舍，而取舍的标准在于你的目标是什么。我的目标，不仅仅是单纯地当一个physician, 还相当一个scientist physician, 如果可能的话，成为一个artist scientist physician。我不知道这样说是不是有些自负，或者说是一种年少轻狂的幻想，但是我想趁年轻，为梦想搏一把。即便以后为现实所迫会有所妥协，但至少现在我想试一试。而且我相信，我以后一定不会后悔今天的决定。

专业型其实我对科研也很感兴趣。但这种兴趣只是因为我对科研不了解，很好奇。

真正的兴趣，应该是你在临床工作中发现问题，基于这些问题想做进一步的探索。所以我觉得，自己首先应该大号临床的基础吧。可能以后，产生真正的兴趣之后，会去试着在科研领域有所发展。另外，我也很喜欢与病人交流，听他们讲不同的故事，将自己所学的知识服务于病人，在他们的生命中扮演或重要或不太重要的角色。
