I’ll choose some easier and funnier questions to lead Ss into the topic History. The grammar review in Exercise 3b, 3c is not the language focus in this lesson, thus it’s considered as the homework.According to the New English Curriculum, the teaching should not only focus on the development of Ss’ reading strategy, also the Ss’ interest in English. So I apply communicative approach, making use of real-life situations to motivate their desire to communicate in meaningful ways about meaningful topics. The first activity is Leo’s self-introduction through a short record. The record is prepared before the class with some key information about Leo. As a foreigner, Leo loves Chinese history very much, so he has many questions to ask Ss. The first one is about the emperors and the dynasties. Ss should be able to do the match between them. Those emperors are all famous characters in the Chinese history, such as Tang Taizong, Cheng Jisihan, Kang Xi and so on. The second one is about the famous capitals in the history. Ss should pick out the city which was not the capital in the history. By the way, I will provide some information about Harbin, which is thecity where Leo lives. This introduction can also build Ss’ knowledge structure. This kind of lead-in could be funnier and easier, and the comfortable atmosphere can help Ss’ to acquire new knowledge easily.In the second stage while-reading, there are 2 steps; they are fast-reading for 6mins and careful-reading for 15mins. There’re 2 activities in fast-reading: skimming for the main idea of each paragraph and scanning for the specific and important information to fill in the blanks. These tasks can help them get the general idea of the passage.In careful-reading step, I’ll guide them to learn the passage paragraph by paragraph, from Leo’s introduction to Leo’ s family history, and Leo’s study of history, the last is Leo’s dream. Different tasks are designed for Ss: For the first paragraph, Ss are asked to find some key words about Leo: Australian, Jewish, etc. For the second paragraph, Ss are required to fill in the time table about Leo’s family history. As for Leo’s study, Ss are asked to make a comparison between Leo and his friends. The last is Leo’s dream, I’ll ask Ss several simple questions. I will make sure that Ss won’t be bored by the tasks and participate in all the activities actively.In post-reading, there’re 2 activities for 14mins: discussion for 5mins and role-playing for 9mins. I’ll ask Ss two questions: Q1: Why are some old buildings in Harbin built in Russian style? Q2: Why does Leo want to go to Beijing for the Olympic Games in 20xx? What can we infer from that? In order to lower the degree of the difficulty, I’ll provide some sentence structures, some questions and key words. So this can be considered as a review of the whole lesson. 它既符职业教育培养应用人材和具有一定文化水平和专业知识技能的劳动者的基本培养目标，更是体现中国加入世贸之后，就业市场对职业教育培养高等双语应用型人材所提出的更高目标。
2、课程目标我校大学英语课程的基本教学目标是既要使学生掌握实用的英语语言知识和交际能力，使学生在今后的工作和社会交往中能用英语有效地进行书面和口语的信息交流，同时要增强学生自主学习能力，提高综合文化素质，以适应社会发展和国际交流的需要。
具体量化为以下三个方面：（1）知识目标，主要就是指完成大学英语课程每学期设置的教学计划，包括指定的教材和规定的课时，并通过各种方式以确保学生掌握一定量的实用英语语言知识；（2）能力目标，主要是指英语语言的五大基本技能：听说读写译以及英语等级证书考试的应试能力。
而后一项能力，主要根据社会和用人单位的需要所设定的。
（3）素质目标，以端正学生学习态度，培养学生学习能力，提高学生综合素质为内容的一项认知性目标。
3、课程设计我们在课程设计上主要体现三个结合：首先，课堂教学与课外学习相结合，在抓好课堂教学的同时，充分发挥开展课外教学活动的优势。
其次，基础教学与等级考试相结合，为了增加学生就业时的竞争力，将课程安排与等级考试同步进行。
最后，基础英语与行业英语相结合，课程实施注重工学结合，将基础英语与行业英语结合。
二、教学内容1、内容选取与序化我校大学英语课程选用的是以教育部立项的大学英语课程的《新视野大学英语》的系列教材，有《读写教程》和《听说教程》两条主线：《读写教程》由学生用书，教师用书和《综合练习》组成，《听说教程》由学生用书和教师用书组成。

Teaching contentsAs we all know, the main aims of teaching English in primary school is to cultivate pupil’s basic abilities of their listening, speaking, reading and writing ,and their good sense of the English language. And it is very important to develop their keen interests in English.The content from Part A and B of Unit7 At a snack bar is very close to students’daily life. This unit is mainly about how to buy food or drinks at a snack bar. From this lesson, the students will learn some words about food and drinks, and the sentence patterns “What would you like?/How much is it /are they? Something to drink? Anything else?” as well.Ⅱ. It not only helps students develop language and communication skills but also give the students' opportunities to experience cooperated learning and enhance their consciousness of competition.Step1. Present the new wordsWith the help of the CAI to present lots of food and drinks. Pay more attention to the new words: pies, hamburgers, noodlesPractice the pronunciation and spelling of the new words.d. Practice the sentence pattern: What would you like ?Some…, please.I’ll act as a shop assistant and ask the students “What would you like?”The students may answer“I’d like …”And then teach the sentence “Some…,please.”Ask the students to practice in groups and then present their conversationPurpose:I try to provide a real situation for the Ss to understand the dialogue about shopping.e. How about you?” The students may answer “Some…,please.”I’ll ask“Please pay for the bill”The students may answer“ How much is it/ are they?” CAI shows the differences between“How much is it? ”and“How much are they?”Purpose: To present the key structures one by one is much easier for the Ss tolearn and grasp the meanings;Step3：Consolidation and practicea. Learn the dialogue.Before watching the cartoon, I’ll let the Ss remember some questions related to the text.1. What would Su Yang /Su Hai /their dad like?2. How much are they?(CAI)Then let them answer the questions and imitate the text and read andact in groups.Purpose:This step is in order to make the student get the general idea of the dialogue as a whole one. At the same time let the students have a chance to practice their listening ability.b.Make dialoguesFirstly, I’ll give the students an example . I’ll be a shop assistant again.Three of them will be customers. We’ll make a dialogue about buying things.Secondly, they will have a competition about shopping.Purpose:Task-based teaching method is used here to make the students apply the useful sentences flexibly for shopping and also their ability of co-operation will be well trained. And proper competition can inspire the students to be totally involved in English learning.Step4: SummaryToday, we have learnt a dialogue for shopping. But there are some culturaldifferences among different countries. (An English proverb presented by CAI：We eat to live，not live to eat．)Purpose:The knowledge of culture background is essential to the effective communication. It is a must to pay enough attention to the culture education in the process of English learning, considering it as an indispensable part of language learning.Step5: Homework(There is a picture on the screen presented by CAI.) The main idea of the picture: It’s 12 o’clock. David and Mike are very hungry. They come to a snack bar. What will they talk? Please design a dialogue between the shop assistant and the boys.Purpose:It is necessary for the Ss to do some extensive exercises after class to consolidate the knowledge they learned.
