Respect Cultural Diversity

It can’t be denied that there are different cultures, however, culture of complementary and communication is a kind of tendency. After all, there is not a perfect world. How can it have happened that each cultures and values exists here? We will always find enough of the reasons and excuses. On the other hand, of course, each cultures and values have their own shortnesses.

In my opinion, culture is everything about human, and also the precious wealth that was accumulated during the development of human. Besides, it’s certain that different places have different cultures. This situation is influenced by economics and politics maybe another thing else.

I believe, we have heard that German are serious and silence, British are reserve and proud, and French are romantic. It’s just the typical character of them. On the whole, in Europe and America, people are independent and like creating, moreover, they also have the ability of communication and the spirit of adventure. By the way, I’d like to talk about Japan. We have to admire that Japanese behave well on individual politeness and self improvement. And they have the ability of self control.

Now, let me introduce Chinese culture generally which has a long history. During several thousands years, small-peasant economy developed, which formed feudal culture, thus, Chinese people emphasize peace and patience, and they pay no attention to freedom and personality. Today, there is a big gap between the rich the poor in china. So the level of development in culture is different. Generally speaking, Chinese are in short of autonomy and creativity. They like working together but being lack of team spirit. And many foreigners say that Chinese people are always concerned about face-saving.

Then, let’s compare Chinese culture and foreign culture. Chinese think that relationship is more important than feelings , and human feelings beyond principles, but this situation is complete different in other countries .For example, in northern Europe, it is very definitely that what is right and what is wrong, and there are rarely bully points. Actually it is the standard social model cause this definite value orientation . Under the influence of developed industry and business, western countries emphasize fair, freedom, democracy, science and independence. They are brave to pursue what they like and compete with others.

Today, face of globalization, more and more national cultures have the meaning of the world, and cultures have the tendency of convergence. Thus, the protection of national cultural diversity is more and more important for all of us.

If cultures tend to be centralized, as a result, the culture of human will not flourish. We should know cultures are special and colorful,. Only respect and protect cultural diversity can we have a good future.
