SPAN GAS CALIBRATION

1. Connnect the regulated 1% hydrogen in oxygen supply to the 3 way valve ‘A’.

2. Adjust the pressure to less than 1 bar.

3. Adjust the flow to 0.5 l/min using needle valve ‘B’.

4. Let the reading of the HTO stabalise for a few minutes.

5. Enter the menu of the HTO by pressing ENTER. At the request for a password press DOWN 5 times.

6. The display will the show the following:

7. Move the cursor down using the DOWN button until on the Zero/Cal gas:

8. Press ENTER to view the submenu. 9. Scroll down and select the ‘Calibrate gas’ menu item. 10. The display will then scroll through the message ‘Apply calibration gas to instrument --’ 11. Press ENTER to start the calibration of the sensor. 12. The display will show:

13. Use the UP and DOWN keys to adjust the gas reading to 25%. 14. Now press the ENTER to calibrate the sensor. The sensor will display the message ‘Calibrating..’. ENTER UP

15. When complete, the sensor will display ‘Calibration successful ! Remove gas

from instrument –‘.

16. The sensor will then return to the submenu.

17. Select ‘To main menu’ (see above) and press ENTER to enter the main menu.

18. Scroll up to the message ‘To gas display’ and press ENTER to exit the menu.
