lesson 1作文

Mrs.Stone had spent the whole morning picking blackberries.It was nearly lunch time ,so she decided to have a rest then continued to prepare the lunch for her family .She was iust putting the remaining blackberries into the basket when she heard a noise in the village.The she saw an animal which looked like a big cat .She knew it was not a cat because its size was too large to be a cat.The animal suddenly ran trowards her and she thought it was going to attack her.She dropped her basket and gave a loud cry seeking to frighten it away .Hearing the sound ,the animal ran away on the spot ,leaving the woman stand here still.After which ,Mrs Stone picked uo her basket and ran all the way home.She told her neighbours that she had met a cat-like animal which may be a puma,but they did not believed her .She also telephoned the police but they didn't take it seriously.Many days were gone ,experts finally were convinced it was really a puma.


Lesson 2

There ever was a small village of which the church clock suddenly stopped somehow .The big clock which used to strike the hours day and night had alreadly been a part of villagers' life.So this made the villagers disturbed. But no one could explain why the matter happened.Decided to repair the clock from being silent ,the vicar climbed into the clock tower,only to find that the clock had been invaded by bees .In evidence,it was the bees that made home her so that the clock was filled with honey and wax.The vicar felt obliged to have the clock cleaned.But the hot potato really made the vicar in a corner,how to remove the bees which might attack humans with their sharp stings.Suddenly ,an idea struck him----a bee keeper might help.Therefore a bee keeper was called on the spot.The experienced man removed the queen bee,to the vicar's surprise,the other bees followed the queen bee all the way out of the church.Finally the clock was cleaned.It was really pleased for the villagers to hear the clock striking hour after hour.



Lesson3

After walking round the ancient city,the archaeologists happened to find a temple which seemed to be splendid at one time .This temple which might be the represention of the classical civilization. Therefore ,they explored the temple without hesitation .On entering the most sacred room,the archaeologists found clay fragments of fifteen statues.After this ,workmen began digging and soon discovered the boby of one statue which was among remains dating from the fifteen century B.C..They also found its missing head among remains of fifth century B.C.The archaeologists carefully reconstructed the fragments, they were astonished to find that the goddess turned out to be a very modern-looking woman.She stood three feet high and her hands reste

d on her hips.Although the archaeologists had done many researches about the godess,they were unable to find out her name.



Lesson 4

One day ,Alf and three other dustmen wre collecting rubbish as usual .One house by one house,finally they arrived at Mrs.Frost's house.Alf was just getting out of dustcart,suddenly he glanced a woman who was visiting Mrs.Frost .With exacter recognition ,Alf was astonished to find that the woman was his wife.It was too embarrassed to let his wife learn he had been worked as a dustman for over two years.So without hesitation ,Alf rushed back to dustcart .Having told his fellows about his embarrassment,the fellow dustmen knew about his secret and decided to lend him a hand. At that time ,Mrs,Bloggs was talking with Mrs.Frost on the door step.The other dustmen collected the rubbish as if nothing had happened.Having finished the work ,the dustmen went back to the dustcart.The dustcard was about to drive away when Mrs.Bloggs came towards it.Alf was narrowly escaped from being discovered by his wife.



Lesson 5

The journalist counted the number of steps as he was approaching the main gate step by step.On arriving outside the main gate, he recorded the number and then found out a band tape in order to measure the wall while he was busy measuing the wall,a policeman noticed his strange actions and came to arrest him.Though the journalist was explaining all the time, the policeman refused to believe him. He was arrested and sent to prison because the police thought that he might be a spy and had sound out some secret of the republic.When the journalist asked for permission to send a fax, he made things worse for himself.This proved to the police that he was a spy indeed.




Lesson6

After the thieve's car drove away,it struck Mr.Taylor that only caught they could he prevent his possession from being rabbed .So Mr.Taylor quickly took a taxi and asked the driver to follow the thieve's car.Therefore ,a mad chase through the streets began:Having realized being followed, the thieves sped up so that the car hit another car ,even though the mad thieves still had no hesitation to stop .At that time, the police noticed their chase and chased both taxi and thieves.Unfortunately,Mr.Taylor's taxi must stop at the traffic lights which was just turning red.It was exasperated and disappointed for Mr.Taylor to watch the thieve's car driving away while he could do nothing to stop them.What's more,the taxi driver was stopped by the police for the reason that he had been speeding.Mr.Taylor explained the situation to the police and begged them to help him.With the help of the police ,the thieves' car was found ten minutes later side the street.It ws clear that the thieves abandoned the car and escaped on foot.



Lesson7

Jane opened the oven door and saw that her meal was well-cooked.The meal seemed to be delicious .She took the food out of the oven and was just about to leave when she discovery something s

corched.She told John in a hurry.They both rushed to the oven and dismayed to found a beautifully-cooked wallet and notes turned to ash .At first ,they didn't know what to do.John wanted to give up the money and clean the oven,but Jane wouldn't agree."It's best not to get chewed up your money."Jane said,"You can see that all the money comes back."Jane told John to make a claim to Mutilated Ladies.So the next day John went to see his bank manager who sent to remains of wallet and the money to the Mutilated Ladies.Finally they got all their money back.



Lesson 8

One day a monk took two dogs out for exercise ,they wandered on Bernard's Pass.The dogs wre restless all the time.The monk guessed that there might be someone in difficulty.Discussed with other monks,they organized a search party and began to rescue.The dogs led the monks through the snow carefully.The weather was bad for seeking ,there was high winds the previous night and now the heavy fog hadn't been disappeared.The temperature dropped to 20 below,but they still hunt for the man who needed help .As they getting near,they heard cries from a direction under the snow .The brave dogs quickly dragged the trapped man out,he had been unabled to say anything and soon because unconscious.He was taked to the monastery on a sledge.Days were goned, he recovered at last and told the monks who had happened the previous dangerous night.




Lesson9

Human beings like to keep dogs and horses but they never fail to forget cats.Dogs are submissive and loyal to humans ,but cats like to be independent .Cats are especially lovable when they are still kittens.As kittens they may be interested to everything meanwhile remain suspicious of others all their lives .That's how they learn to live in the complex world and protect themselves from being killed .A lot of people keep cats so they have no necessity to worry about food .As kittens grow into cats,they like to make food themselves.They like regular meal times and enjoy a ball which offered by humans.However ,they also can't stand always staying at a little house like dogs .During the day time and at night ,they like to wander outside or have a sun shower somewhere quite.They often have fights with other cats.Sometimes during the night you can near the frightening sound which makes you all hair raise.Cats are very clean animals.You often see them smooth their fur .Human beings also admit it is better to keep cats rather than dogs from this point.



Lossen 10

Having realized to his horror the Titanic was sinking rapidly ,the captain order to abandon ship.The order was too unexpected to everyone who wre unprepared and didn't know what to do.The rapid sink caused immediate effect,the ship began to lean heavily .Having felt the lean ,the atmosphere of panic and confusion made people felt hopeless,they rushed in all directions ,crying and screaming.Meanwhile,crew came up from below.They lowered lifeboats,people madly jumped into the li

feboats,they were so painicky that wre out of order.Many people jumped overboard, they struggled to get into lifeboard, they struggled to get into lifeboats.But the limit room in the lifboats made helping all the passengers impossible .The life boats were soon full of people.Titanic sank rapidly ,with marjority of people struggling in water crying of despair ,lifeboats moved away.Thousands of lives were losting ,cries were disappearing,the sea would be quiet as usual soon.
