1.To help students be familiar with the forms of past particle phrases.
2.To help students command the usages of past particle phrases used as adverbials.
3.To help students understand the differences past particle phrases and present particle phrases
used as adverbials.

Teaching Feedback:
This lesson is dealing with the past participle phrases functionng as adverbials. It is a difficult point for the students. They are confused about the predicates. Neither can they identify the
relationship between the verb and the subject. I lead them to take three steps to solve these kinds of questions. First, identify predicate or non-predicate. Second, identify the subject of the non-predicate. Third, identify their relationship. So they can decide to use past participle or present participle to function as adverbial, which is useful.
