动名词成份复习

一、主语

1. Sharing and giving are very important at Christmas

2. 形式主语

It is useless (no use) doing sth.

It is no good doing sth.

It is a waste of time doing sth.

二、宾语

1.形式宾语

I find it hard (a hard thing) translating Chinese poems into English.

sb. find it + n./adj. doing sth.

动词：believe, consider, feel, find, imagine, make, think

2.sb. suggest doing sth.

sth. mean doing sth. 意味着sb. mean to do sth. 打算

5.介词+doing

①from

prevent/ stop sb. from doing sth. (阻止…做); keep sb. (from) doing sth.;

protect sb. from doing sth. (保护…免受伤害)

②in

have difficulty(困难)/trouble(麻烦)/fun(乐趣) (in) doing;

be busy (in) doing (be busy with sth.)

spend ST./SM (in) doing (spend ST./SM. on sth.)

be involved in doing sth. = be engaged in doing; succeed in doing

persevere in doing = persist in doing (坚持不懈)

6.to(介词)+doing

be used to doing = be accustomed to doing

look forward to doing; stick to doing; lead to doing; confess to doing; sit(get) down to doing（着手做）devote/dedicate oneself to doing; owe sth. to doing（归咎/功于）; prefer doing A to doing B

pay attention to doing; the key to doing

三、定语：动名词作定语，说明被修饰名词的用途

a washing machine = a machine for washing a living room = a room for living

a dining table = a table for dining reading materials = materials for reading

四、表语

系动词be/get/become + doing

一、动名词的时态

一般式：doing 完成式：having done (表示动作发生在谓语动词之前)

二、动名词的语态

①一般式：being done 完成式：having been done

②主动语态表示被动含义

sth. need/require/want doing = sth. need/require/want to be done The flower needs watering.

sth. deserve doing = sth. deserve to be done The naughty boy deserves punishing

sth. be worth doing The book is worth reading.

扩展：sth. be worthy of being done = sth. be worthy to be done The book is worthy of being read.
