CropCircles

CropCircles

Crop Circles【

Crop circles

Crop circles, first appeared in 1647, in England; has a long history with 365 years. But they did not gain much attention until the first modern crop circles appeared in Britain, in 1972. From them on, more than 2000 such circles appeared in the fields all over the world, expect South Africa. The shapes of those circles are different, but nearly all of them are symmetrical; and they are becoming more and more complicated. These strange phenomenon aroused people’s interests: many scientists, geographers, physicists, as well as organizations devoted themselves to find out how these amazing works came out. Unfortunately, until now, no one could make a convincing explanation for how those circles formed. In general, there are 6 explanations: the first one is the earth’s magnetism, which is said that it is the magnetism from the earth that makes them. The second explanation is the effect of tornado. The third one is about prediction which people believe that those circles are the premonition of some kind of disaster. Also, like other strange appearances, some people believed it is the masterpiece from the creature outside the earth. Still some think they are constructed by human beings as a prank. And the last one is high frequent radiation theory. As far as I am concerned, the most unconvincing explanation is the man-made theory: firstly, I can’t image that human beings could make such huge complicated project in such a short time without any vestiges. Secondly, there were many physical characters that appeared in those mysterious circles, like strengthen of infrared ray, which oppose to the theory. Also, according to the physical characters and the well-made shapes, I doubt the tornado explanation. Still, the prediction theory isridiculous to me, because, in my eyes, every phenomenon occurred in some specific reason, we can not simply attribute them to prediction when we can not explain. As for the other three theories, I think they’re both possible for some reasons. In a word, people still can not tell exactly how those circles appeared; as the time goes, I hope that we could finally find out the reason why they occurred.。

Crop CirclesA design appearing quickly and secretively in a field of corn, barley, wheat, or similar crop, formed by the breaking down to the ground of these plants, is a crop circle. Sometimes they are also made by the etching of soil in dry, winter fields or in newly plowed ground. Vivid photographs, as well as colorful videos, have been published, but seeing a crop circle in person by air or from a hilltop and perhaps walking through it is the ultimate experience. Crop circles are a big tourist draw for this reason, with most being located in England.Discoveries of later-day crop circles began in the 1970s, but they are said to have existed as early as the 7th century. In 1991 in Southampton, England, two men, Doug Bower and Dave Chorley, confessed that they had been making crop circles since 1976, but there is no evidence of who or what has caused them before or after their time . . . until 1999. Researchers concluded then that a full 20 percent could not be explained. This number should have been higher, though, for those in 30 countries outside of England were notincluded in the study. Worldwide, about ten thousand crop circles have been reported as of 2010, an astonishing number! The name “crop circle”was given because the first pattern was a circle. They have since “matured”to include straight lines of geometry and curved lines and flourishes that make one think of outer space orbits and calligraphy. Some appear to have messages; some look like drawings and exquisite works of art, and others depict mathematical symbols. Are they the work of extraterrestrial beings? Many enthusiastically say, “Yes!”Others believe they are the signs Jesus spoke of when referring to “end times”or that the warning of a cataclysmic event in 2012 is apparent in their content. If you had been only faintly aware of what crop circles are, or if you are a skeptic of the paranormal or the mysterious, you might find that a little more research on this subject does not go a long way. Once you are captured by their sheer magnitude and beauty and see how they are sprinkled randomly into fields all around the globe, you will want to delve further. To say that crop circles are “interesting”is a gross understatement, and knowing that some are man-made but that othershave no feasible explanation is more than an attention-getter. It can become an obsession!

Anyway, I keep picturing all these little kids playing some game in this big field of rye and all. Thousands of little kids, and nobody's around--nobody big, I mean--except me. And I'm standing on the edge of some crazy cliff. What I have to do, I have to catch everybody if they start to go over the cliff--I mean if they're running and they don't look where they're going I have to come out from somewhere and catch them. That's all I'd do all day. I'd just be the catcher in the rye and all. I know it's crazy, but that's the only thing I'd really like to be.

翻译过来就是:[我在隐藏,目前为止(I have hidden, at present)]。

In the UK farmers recall simple circles appearing on their land for generations. The British media first reported on the circles in the early 1980s. By 1990 crop circles had exploded into the public mind as the new phenomenon changed from simple circular patterns into huge and complex, geometric formations. The crop circles are a world-wide phenomenon and each year new reports come from an ever increasing number of countries. However, the main concentration of events are to be found in Southern England, many around ancient sites such as Stonehenge, Avebury and Silbury Hill (the largest manmade mound in Europe).
