The table below shows the monthly expenditure of an average Australian family in 1991 and 2001. Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant. Write at least 150 words.

The table shows changes in the spending patterns of an

average Australian household between 1999 and 2001. In general, Australian household spending was higher in 2001 than in 1991 but difference was not significant (AU$715 per month and AU$ 675 per month respectively).

The amount of monthly spending on electricity and water saw a dramatic increase over the 10-year period from $75 to $120. Yet in terms of the expenditure on nonessential goods and services, the rising trend was less obvious with a minor increase of $20. At the same time, the amount of money spent on food and housing rose only slightly from $155 to $160 and $95 to $100 respectively.

However, there was a decrease in expenditure on the other items Australians spent one third less on clothing, which fell from $30 to $20. Similarly, expenditure on transport dropped from $70 in 1991 to $45 in 2001.

The bar chart shows that the figures of students at a UK university who complete on time or late, fail to write and rewrite the post graduation dissertation from 1980 to 2000. In fact, there is considerable fluctuation from 1980 to 2000.

In 1980, the number of students who completed on time the post graduation dissertation took the main part, occupied 150 points. The number of students who failed to write the dissertation took the second portion, and one of students who rewrote the dissertation was the least. After ten years, in 1990, the number of students who completed on time the dissertation increased steadily from 150 in 1980 to 250 in 1990. On the other hand, one of the students who rewrote the dissertation increased gradually from the least rate in 1990. After another ten years, the figures of student who completed on time increased to 350 in 2000. During twenty years from 1980 to 2000, the number of students who completed on time the post graduation dissertation increased rapidly, and the part that completed the dissertation late aggrandized slowly. However, the number of students who failed to write the dissertation decreased.

In conclusion, the figures of students who completed the dissertation on time went up in a good trend. The whole direction was on the right
