A Trick at the Party

At a dance party last year the staff decided to play a joke on their boss. When he went to the bathroom, they went through his wallet and found his lottery ticket. Then they wrote down his numbers and called over a waitress to set up a little trick.

The waitress came back half an hour later and asked if anyone wanted to know the night’s lottery numbers, and then set the numbers on the table.

The boss looked at the numbers, then pulled out his wallet and checked them. He became really silent, put his wallet back in his jacket and sat down again, breathing really fast.

After a couple of minutes, he pulled out his wallet and lottery ticket again, and checked the numbers, very carefully.

Years ago in a village, a man turned up and announced to the villagers that he would purchase monkeys for 10 dollars each.

The villagers went out to the forest and began catching monkeys.

The man bought thousands at 10 dollars each and as supply started to decrease, the villagers stopped their effort. The man further announced that he would now buy at 20 dollars each. Therefore, the villagers started catching monkeys again.

Soon there were few monkeys and people started going back to their farms. The offer price increased to 25 dollars and the supply of monkeys became so small that it was an effort to even see a monkey, let alone catch it!
