【点拨】1. consequence n. a result or effect of something结果；后果。相当于result。

注意：

这个短语中的be aimed不强调被动，而表示一种状态，类似动词如：determine，prepare，marry等。如：

I determine to go. 我下决心要去。也可以说：I am determined to go. 我决定去。

其中动词强调的是动作，而过去分词强调的是状态。

The regulations are aimed at the prevention of accidents at work.

这些规则的制定目的在于预防在工作中出现事故。

The book is aimed at people with no specialized knowledge.

这本书主要针对于那些没有专业知识的人。
