A crew can not help shouting:" Buenos Aires!" It means "How fresh air it is!" in Spanish. Interestingly, this exclamation became the name of the city.Buenos Aires has a long history as a Spanish colony for nearly 300 years. By Argentina's independence in 1816, it was designated as the capital. Today, Buenos Aires has become an international metropolis, but people will never forget the history of Argentina. Most of the squares, streets, parks, museums, monuments and statues in the city are named after major historical events and famous history characters.Buenos Aires is a very westernized city. The city residents are almost all descendants of European immigrants. The urban layout, and the way of life, customs, culture and taste, always reveal the rich European style. The Historical Buildings on the May SquareMay Square is the main political and commercial district of Buenos Aires. The ones who come to Buenos Aires should first come to visit May Square. The presidential palace is located in the Plaza, with a pink building and dignified appearance, known as the "Rose Palace", On the center of May Square stands a pyramid-shaped monument, with the Statue of Liberty on its top. It was built in memory of the people who had struggled for independence and freedom in the 1810 May Revolution. From the May Street to the western end of the square is the Parliament Building. Parliament Building here echoes with the Rose Palace. On the Parliament Square in front of the Parliament House is a tall monument to commemorate the 1816 Parliament, at the top of which is the woman on behalf of the new republic. She holds a cinnamon branch in the right hand symbolizing the victory and a plow in the left hand in the name of hard-working people.Florida Street: Broadway of South AmericaFlorida Street is located in the center of the city, known as "Broadway of South America", where a number of large banks and financial institutions are gathered. It is the famous financial street and the busiest commercial street in Buenos Aires. This is a pedestrian street, lined on both sides are shops and restaurants. Pacific Mall is not only one of the largest shopping malls here, but also an integrated commercial and cultural center with both galleries and theaters.San Martin Park is located at the end of the Florida Road. A monument was built on the square in front of the park. The monument is a bronze statue of Saint Martin created by the French artist in 1862. In addition to the national hero's statue of Saint Martin, there is a War Memorial Monument of the Malvinas Islands on the other side, with soldiers guarding all year round. The Republic of Children: enjoy the elegance of LilliputThis is a strange mini-city building, located 60 kilometers away from south of the city BuenosAires. It is adorned by the combination of colorful and tiny buildings, like the Andersen fairy tale world. On weekends and holidays, many parents take their kids here to enjoy the elegance of Lilliput. A flat and wide road goes through the Capital of the Republic. The Presidential Palace and Parliament House are located at both ends of the Capital. Here the children can hold a model parliamentary debate. On both sides of the Presidential Palace, there are cultural palaces and churches. In the front, there are the courts, banks, hospitals, railway stations and othermicro-architectures. A commercial street links these buildings together, which sells a variety of toys and foods. On outskirts of the city, there is a train which makes a cruise trip every 30 minutes. You can see the bases of the land, sea and air forces, as well as the Republic's rural areas with a beautiful pastoral landscape.Date with BeautyBuenos Aires is a beautiful and dean modern city. The streets are broad and neat, covered with green shade everywhere. Walk in the city, and you'll find that the high-rise buildings, flowing cars, rolling stereo traffic and gorgeous window dressing, are so dazzling and dizzying.。

It was such an amazing experience exploring a new country and culture. One of my favorite parts was trying all the delicious Argentine food!Buenos Aires is known for its incredible variety of food. Since Argentina is a big country with lots of immigrants from Europe and neighboring countries, the cuisine has influences from many different places. But it also has its own unique flavors and dishes that you can't find anywhere else. Let me tell you about some of the typical foods I tried on my trip!AsadoOne of the most classic Argentine foods is asado, which refers to various cuts of meat that are cooked over a fire pit or grill. Beef is very popular, like juicy chorizo sausages, flank steak, ribeye, and other cuts. My dad loved the asado so much – he said the meat was so flavorful and tender from being slow-cooked over the coals. We went to an authentic asado restaurant in the Palermo neighborhood. It had a big outdoor parrilla (grill) area where the gauchos (cowboy chefs) were grilling up huge chunks of beef, pork, and other meats. The smells wafting from the parrilla were incredible! Along with the meats, we had salads, roasted potatoes and vegetables, crispy bread, and chimichurri (a zesty green sauce) for dipping. It was such a fun experience doing an asado feast.EmpanadasAnother food I really loved were the empanadas! These are basically little handheld savory pastries that are stuffed with fillings like ground beef, chicken, corn, cheese, or other yummy ingredients. You can find empanada shops all over Buenos Aires selling freshly baked empanadas. My favorite was the carne empanada, which had nicely seasoned ground beef, green olives, onions, and sometimes hard-boiled egg inside the flaky crust. I also really liked the humita empanada that was made with a creamy corn and cheese filling. So delicious! We even took a fun empanada-making class and learned how to fold and crimp the dough pockets ourselves.Dulce de LecheYou can't go to Argentina without trying their national obsession - dulce de leche! This is a thick, creamy caramel spread made from slowly cooking down sweetened milk for hours until it becomes this amazing gooey, rich candy.Dulce de leche is used as a topping or filling for so many Argentine desserts and treats. We had alfajores, which are two round cookies sandwiched together with a thick dulce de leche filling. Dulce de leche was also smeared inside crepes, spread over pancakes, used as a dip for fresh fruit, and even mixed into ice cream! No matter how they served it, I couldn't get enough of that heavenly caramel flavor.MateFinally, I have to mention mate, which is this traditional Argentine drink. It's basically an herbal tea that's served very warm in a special hollow gourd cup. You drink it by bombilla, which is a metal straw with a filter on the end that strains out the shredded yerba mate leaves. At first I thought the bitter, earthy taste of mate was pretty strange. But the more I drank it, especially with a few drops of lemon juice squeezed in, the more I appreciated its unique flavor. Mate is a very social drink in Argentina – everyone passes around the same mate cup, refilling it over and over. It's considered rudenot to share! I felt very cultured sipping mate like a true porteño (Buenos Aires local). Those were some of the most iconic and delicious Argentine foods I tried on my trip to Buenos Aires. From the amazing asado feasts to the sweet dulce de leche treats, flaky empanadas, and social mate drinking, it was all such a tasty glimpse into the rich food culture of this vibrant city. I'll never forget the wonderful favors of Buenos Aires! Next time I go, I'm going to eat my way through as many more Argentine delicacies as I can. Empanadas are like little pockets of happiness filled with yummy ingredients. The dough is made from flour and butter, and then it is filled with a variety of ingredients such as beef, chicken, cheese, or vegetables. They are then baked or fried until they turn golden and crispy. Empanadas are so tasty that you just can't stop at one!Next, we have theasado, which is a traditional Argentine barbecue. The Argentinians really know how to grill their meat to perfection! The asado is usually a big gathering where friends and family come together to enjoy delicious grilled meats, such as beef, sausages, and ribs. The meat is cooked slowly over an open fire, which gives it a smoky and mouthwatering flavor. It's a real treat for your taste buds!Another popular food in Buenos Aires ischoripán. Choripán is a mouthful to say, but it's even more of a mouthful to eat! It's a simple but incredibly tasty sandwich made with a grilled chorizo sausage and a crusty bread called "pan". The chorizo is juicy and flavorful, and when you take a bite of thechoripán, the combination of the smoky sausage and the crispy bread is simply amazing! If you have a sweet tooth, you must trydulce de leche. Dulce de leche is a creamy caramel-like sauce made from milk and sugar. It's used in many desserts in Buenos Aires, such as alfajores, which are cookies filled with dulce de leche. The combination of the buttery cookies and the sweet and gooey dulce de leche is absolutely heavenly!Lastly, we can't forget aboutmate. Mate is not a food, but it's a very important part of the culture in Buenos Aires. Mate is a traditional drink made from the dried leaves of the yerba mate plant. It's usually served in a hollowed-out gourd, and people drink it through a metal straw called a bombilla. Mate is not only a delicious and refreshing drink, but it's also a social activity. People gather around and share a mate, passing it from person to person. It's a great way to bond with friends and family! In conclusion, Buenos Aires is a food lover's paradise. From the tasty empanadas and mouthwatering asado to the deliciouschoripán and sweet dulce de leche, there's something for everyone to enjoy. And let's not forget about the traditional mate, which brings people together. So, if you ever visit Buenos Aires, make sure to try these amazing foods and have a culinary adventure you'll never forget!I hope you enjoyed learning about the typical food of Buenos Aires. Happy eating!。
布宜诺斯艾利斯典型食物英文作文
布宜诺斯艾利斯典型食物英文作文全文共3篇示例,供读者参考篇1Typical Foods from Buenos AiresHi there! My name is Mateo and I'm a 10-year-old boy from Buenos Aires, the capital city of Argentina. I love living here because the food is so delicious and unique! Today I want to tell you all about some of the typical foods we eat in Buenos Aires. One of the most famous foods from Buenos Aires is called asado. Asado means "barbecue" and it's not just a meal, it's a whole event! For an asado, different cuts of beef like chorizo sausages, morcilla blood sausages, and huge slabs of ribs and steak are slowly grilled over a wood fire pit called a parilla. The person who cooks the asado is called an asador and they take it very seriously. It's considered an art form to get the perfect sear on the meats. While the asado is cooking, which can take many hours, everyone sits around drinking mate, which is a kind of tea made from yerba mate leaves. You drink mate from a hollow gourd cup called a mate through a metal straw called a bombilla that has afilter on the end. The mate is passed around and everyone shares from the same cup. It's a very social experience. When the asado is finally ready, it's time to eat! The meats are so tender and full of that delicious smoky flavor from the wood fire. We eat them with chimichurri, which is a green sauce made from parsley, garlic, olive oil, vinegar and spices. It's so fresh and zingy tasting. Other sides you'll find at an asado are beef chorizo sausages, morcilla blood sausages, a grilled veggie platter called a ensalada russa, and bread.Another quintessential food from Buenos Aires is empanadas. These are little handheld pies that have a flaky pastry crust on the outside and are stuffed with all sorts of delicious fillings on the inside. The most common empanada filling is carne which has ground beef, onions, eggs, green olives and spices. But you can also get crazy varieties like humita (corn), jamon y queso (ham and cheese), pollo (chicken), atun (tuna), and hasta empanadas de chocolate (even chocolate ones for dessert!).Empanadas are the perfect food because they're portable, delicious, and you can have them any time - for a snack, lunch, or dinner. My favorite place to get empanadas in Buenos Aires is a little neighborhood joint called El Rincón Porteño. It's been therefor over 50 years and they make the empanadas fresh every morning. The dough is so light and flaky and the fillings are always perfectly seasoned. Yum!Speaking of baked goods, Buenos Aires has some wonderful bakeries and pastries too. One really iconic food is called facturas, which are flaky pastries that come in so many varieties. You can get facturas filled with membrillo (quince paste), vigilante (with a crumbly shortbread topping), bolas de fraile (round brioche balls coated in syrup), and my personal favorite - facturas de crema pastelera which are flaky squares filled with sweet vanilla pastry cream. These are perfect for breakfast or as an afternoon snack with a cafe con leche (coffee with milk). At the bakeries you'll also find alfajores, which are two round cookies sandwiched together with a thick layer of dulce de leche (caramel) in the middle and coated in powdered sugar or shredded coconut. Alfajores come in all different sizes frombite-size minis to huge sandwich cookies as big as your hand. Every bakery and chocolatier in Buenos Aires has their own version and people get very passionate defending their favorite brand! Alfajores are a must-try when you come here. One last food I have to mention is pizza! Buenos Aires has a huge Italian immigrant population so the pizza here is amazing. It has a very thin, crispy crust and simple, high-quality toppings like mozzarella cheese, tomato sauce, prosciutto, olives, and green peppers. Unlike pizza in other places, Buenos Aires pizza never has any weird toppings or too much cheese. It's all about respecting the simplicity of good dough, sauce, and cheese. My favorite pizza joints in the city are El Cuartito, which has been open since 1934, and El Palacio de la Pizza. El Cuartito has a classic old-school vibe with a big wood-fired oven in the front where you can watch the pizzaiolos stretching and throwing the dough. And El Palacio has these crazy oval-shaped pizzas that are almost two feet long! They're meant to be shared family-style in the middle of the table. You simply can't leave Buenos Aires without trying the local pizza.Well, that's just a taste of some of the typical and delicious foods you can find in Buenos Aires! From the epic asado barbecues to street food snacks like empanadas, sweet treats at the bakeries, and our awesome pizza, there is so much good eating to be done here. Maybe you'll come visit someday and I can take you on a food tour of all my favorite spots around the city. Buen provecho!篇2Typical Foods from Buenos AiresHi there! My name is Sophie and I'm going to tell you all about the yummy foods you can find in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Buenos Aires is the capital city of Argentina and it's famous for its delicious foods that are influenced by Spanish, Italian, and other cultures. I was lucky enough to visit Buenos Aires with my family last summer and I tried so many tasty treats! Let me tell you about some of my favorites.EmpanadasThese little handheld pies were my absolute favorite thing to eat in Buenos Aires. An empanada is made with a circular bread or pastry crust that gets stuffed with all kinds of delicious fillings before being baked or fried. The fillings can be savory like beef, chicken, ham and cheese, or spinach. But some empanadas also have sweet fillings like quince paste or dulce de leche (caramel). No matter what's inside, empanadas are so tasty and portable, making them a perfect snack food. You can find empanada shops all over Buenos Aires selling these delicious little pies. My favorites were the carne picante (spicy beef) and the jamon y queso (ham and cheese).AsadoAsado refers to the incredible barbecue culture in Argentina. An asado is an event where cuts of beef, pork, chicken, sausages and other meats are slowly grilled over a wood fire. Restaurants and homes all over Buenos Aires have big outdoor parrilla grills for cooking up a huge asado feast. The most popular meat for an asado is beef, especially cuts like bife de chorizo (sirloin), entraña (skirt steak) and vacio (flank steak). They cook the meats over smoldering wood chips or charcoal which gives it an amazing smoky flavor. I went to a friend's house for an asado and we ate for hours - the meat just kept coming off the grill! It was so juicy and delicious.PizzaYou might not expect pizza to be a big deal in Buenos Aires, but the city has an amazing pizza culture because of all the Italian immigrants who came to Argentina in the late 1800s and early 1900s. Buenos Aires has tons of pizzerias serving up classic styles like Napolitana (Neapolitan), Romana (Roman), and Siciliana (Sicilian), along with Argentine-style pizzas too. One unique type is called fugazza - it's a white pizza without tomato sauce that gets topped with onions, olives, and sometimes other veggies. My favorite was the pizza rellena which is a stuffed pizza filled with gooey mozzarella cheese and ham or spinach. It waslike a calzone but round instead of folded over. So cheesy and melty and delicious!Dulce de LecheOkay, now for one of the sweetest and most amazing treats - dulce de leche! This sweet caramel sauce is hugely popular all over Argentina. It's made by slowly cooking down sweetened milk until it turns into a thick, gooey, sticky caramel. Dulce de leche shows up as a topping or filling for all kinds of pastries and desserts like pancakes, waffles, cakes, milkshakes, ice cream, and more. But you can also find jars or squeeze bottles of straight-up dulce de leche to drizzle over everything! Argentinians put it on toast for breakfast, mix it into coffee, or just eat it by the spoonful. I liked getting churros (fried dough pastries) freshly made and hot, then dipping them into a little cup of dulce de leche for the ultimate sweet treat. It was unbelievably rich and decadent!Yerba MateLast but not least, I have to tell you about yerba mate, which is a hugely popular traditional drink in Buenos Aires and all over Argentina. Yerba mate is an herbal tea made from the dried leaves of the yerba mate plant. It has a really unique, earthy, slightly bitter flavor that takes some getting used to. But manyArgentinians are completely obsessed with mate! You'll see people all over Buenos Aires carrying their mate gourds (hollow cup) and bombilla (metal straw) to sip mate throughout the day. Mate contains caffeine, so it gives you a nice little energy boost. I tried mate a few times in Buenos Aires and while I'm not totally hooked on it yet, I can understand why it's such a beloved beverage there.Well, that covers some of the standout typical foods from the wonderful city of Buenos Aires! From savory empanadas and asado barbecue to sweet dulce de leche and the unique yerba mate drink, the city truly has an amazing and delicious food culture. I feel so lucky I got to experience it all. Writing this report is making me hungry all over again for the mouth-watering flavors of Buenos Aires! Hopefully you'll get to visit there someday and taste these iconic foods for yourself. Buen provecho! (That's how you say "enjoy your meal" in Spanish.)篇3My Trip to Buenos Aires and the Yummy FoodsThis summer, my family went on an amazing trip to Buenos Aires, the capital city of Argentina. It's a huge, bustling city with beautiful buildings, parks, and plazas. But my favorite part wastrying all the delicious local foods! The foods in Buenos Aires are like nothing I've ever tasted before. One of the first things we ate was empanadas. These are little hand pies that are super popular in Argentina and other Spanish-speaking countries. The dough on the outside is flaky and buttery, and the insides can have all sorts of different fillings like beef, chicken, ham and cheese, spinach, or even sweet fillings like apple or dulce de leche (caramelized milk). My favorite empanadas had a ground beef filling that was nicely spiced. You can find empanada shops all over Buenos Aires selling these tasty hand pies.Another food I loved was choripán. This is a type of sausage sandwich that is sold from food carts all around the city. The chorizo sausage they use is different than ones I've had before - it's thicker and has a zesty, almost smoky flavor from all the spices and seasonings. The sausage gets cooked right on the cart's grill and then gets tucked inside a fresh crusty bun or roll. You can add chimichurri, which is a bright green sauce made from parsley, garlic, oil and vinegar that gives everything a zingy flavor. The choripán vendors make these sandwiches so fresh and fast, and they're perfect for eating on-the-go while walking around the city. For a bigger meal, we had some incredible asados, which are big barbecues or cookouts with lots of different grilled meats. Argentinians take their beef very seriously, and asado is a big part of their food culture. At the asado restaurants, they have huge grills where they slowly cook different cuts of beef, along with sausages, chicken, and sometimes even offal meats like chorizo and morcilla (blood sausage). My dad's favorite was the bife de chorizo, which is a juicy sirloin steak, while I loved the mollejas (grilled sweetbreads). Everything is served with chimichurri sauce for dipping and sharing platters of grilled veggies. For sides, we had bolas de fraile (fried dough balls) and papas fritas (french fries). It was like the world's biggest backyard barbecue!Even though Argentina is famous for its beef, I also really enjoyed some of the Italian-influenced foods in Buenos Aires. With so many Italian immigrants over the years, there are delicious pizza places and pasta restaurants all over the city. The pizzas have a nice thin and crispy crust, with creative toppings beyond just pepperoni. My brother got one with slices of fresh tomato, garlic, and big leaves of fresh basil on top. So yummy! For pasta, we had ñoquis de papa which are little gnocchi-like potato dumplings that come covered in different sauces like creamy tomato or meat ragú.For dessert, I couldn't get enough of the alfajores. These are two round cookies sandwiched together with a thick layer of smooth dulce de leche in the middle, then coated in powdered sugar or shredded coconut on the outside. When you bite into one, the dulce de leche kind of squishes out a bit. They somehow manage to be rich and sweet, but not too much. You can find different sized alfajores at candy shops and bakeries all around Buenos Aires.Another amazing dessert is fritalsa - these are fried pastry rings that get drizzled with a sugary syrup glaze. I liked the ones coated with crunchy sugar nibs on the outside. For a cold treat, we had moscatel helado, which is zabaglione custard gelato flavored with sweet moscatel wine. It tastes kind of like a frozen wine ice cream float!Between all the meats, pastries, pizzas, and other specialties, I was in complete food heaven during my time in Buenos Aires. The city has such a unique and delicious cuisine that combines flavors from Argentina's Spanish and Italian heritage, along with some creativity all its own. I can't wait to go back and eat my way through Buenos Aires again someday!。

In the early 1500s, Spanish soldiers built the tiny town of Buenos Aires on the Rio de la Plata. Rio de la Plata is Spanish for “river of silver.” This name gives you an idea of what the Spanish were hoping to find. But dreams of silver and gold near Buenos Aires soon faded, for one simple reason. There was little to be found. Over the years, though, people here began to realize that their town did have something very valuable to offer.A Perfect LocationOn the map, you can see that Buenos Aires is located along the wide Rio de la Plata. This waterway gives the city easy access to the Atlantic Ocean. Now look to the west of Buenos Aires and find the Pampas. This is a vast region of fertile plains. Wheat and other crops thrive2 in the Pampas. The land is also ideal for raising cattle and sheep.Put this information together, and you will understand why Buenos Aires became a major city. In the 1800s, railroads began transporting farm products from the Pampas to the port town of Buenos Aires. From Buenos Aires, ships loaded with Argentine beef, leather, wool, and wheat sailed to Europe and other parts of the world. Buenos Aires became an important center for international trade.New ArrivalsAs trade boomed3 at the docks of Buenos Aires in the late 1800s, the city simply did not have enough people to keep up with the work. Word spread to Europe that good jobs were available in Argentina. This set off a massive wave of immigration. Millions of new arrivals turned Buenos Aires from a busy port town into one of the world’s biggest cities.Growing CitiesToday Buenos Aires is the second largest city in South America, and it’s still growing. The population of Buenos Aires is expected to top 13 million by 2020. South America’s biggest city—Sao Paulo, Brazil—will probably be home to more than 21 million people by 2020! The process of urbanization4, or growth of city population, is happening all over South America. A major reason for this is the migration, or movement, of people from rural areas to cities.Push and Pull FactorsFactors that influence the movement of people are called push and pull factors. Push factors are things that cause people to leave the place they are living. In South America, people are often “pushed” from rural areas because of a lack of jobs and good schools.Factors that attract or “pull” people to a certain place are called pull factors. One hundred years ago, the hope of finding good jobs pulled people to Buenos Aires. The same is true today. People also move to the city in hopes of finding better school for their children.Big cities like Buenos Aires can offer families the opportunity for a better life. City life can be difficult, however. When rural families move to the city, they often have to crowd into very poor neighborhoods with no electricity or running water. Because of the bad living conditions, slums5 in Buenos Aires are known as “villages of misery.”City of NeighborhoodsThe famous Argentine writer Jorge Luis Borges once said, “Our entir e country is imported. Everyone here is really from somewhere else.” The modern city of Buenos Aires reflects theinfluence of people from many countries. With wide avenues6, sidewalk cafes, and small shops, the center of the city looks a lot like European cities such as Paris, France, or Barcelona, Spain. Surrounding the downtown area are more than 40 different barrios7, or neighborhoods. Each barrio has a unique personality. La Boca, for example, is an Italian neighborhood that is famous for brightly painted houses. The barrio once was filled with shops owned by Jewish and Korean families.Packed with theater, dance halls, and all-night bookstores, Buenos Aires is the cultural center of Argentina. Restaurants range from world-famous steak houses to family pizza places, and people here are famous for staying up late to enjoy the culture of their city. As one native said, “We like people, and we are very curious about everything.”阿根廷是世界第8大国,它的面积比墨西哥和得克萨斯州加起来还要大。
