quarter为名词，意思是“一刻钟”。

·It's a quarter to ten now．现在是差一刻十点/9：45。

【拓展】quarter还表示“四分之一”。

·Three quarters of the earth is covered with water．地球的四分之三被水覆盖着。

6.maybe或许；可能；大概

maybe是副词，意为“或许；可能；大概”，在句中作状语，置于句首。

Maybe your parents are too tired. They've worked for 10 hours．或许你的父母太累了。他们已经工作十个小时了。
