Outlook on Development Strategy for the Next Decade
我今天的目的是要向大家介绍一下我们公司在下个10年的发展战略,更确切地说,是要向大家介绍我们在中国的最近发展计划。
My purpose today is to tell you about our corporate strategy for the next decade, and more specifically, to bring you up to date with our plans for China.
首先,我要简单地介绍我们目前在中国的营销策略。
然后,我来介绍一下我们在市场占有率方面的一些情况。之后,我会谈谈在21世纪我们进一步发展的可能性。
最后,我将很快地作一下总结并以一些建议结尾。
To start with, I'd like to describe briefly our current marketing policy in China. Then I'll illustrate our current situation over market share.
After that, I'll outline the opportunities we see for further progress in the 21st century.
Finally, I'll quickly sum up before concluding with some recommendations.
现在请看一下图表B,上面是我们在最近10年的销售额和税前利润。
Now I'd like to draw your attention to Chart B showing our sales revenues and pre-tax profits over the last ten years.
大家可以注意到,销售额上升了,但我们的同期利润没有相应的增长。
我们有哪些选择?从目前的情况看,我们会走向何方?
You will notice that although turnover has risen, our profits have not increased at the same rate.
What options are open to us now? Where do we go from here?
我们不应该遗忘中国市场。必须承认,目前我们在中国市场的表现有很多不尽如人意的地方。但是有迹象表明中国市场在发生变化,而且我们也能从过去的失误中学到教训。
We should not forget the Chinese market. Admittedly, our results there have been poor so far, but there are signs the market is changing and we can learn a lot from our mistakes.
从总体来说,我认为在接下来的10年中,我们会从关注欧洲市场中获利,但是我们也应该把更多的精力放在中国市场的拓展上。
On balance, though, I think we stand to gain most from concentrating on Europe in the next ten years, I strongly recommend we put more of our efforts into further expansion in China.
