一般书信的写作格式:通常有信头(Heading)、信内地址(Inside Address)、称呼(Salutation)、正文(Body)、结束语(Closing)、签名(Signature)等几个部分组成。

Heading:发信人的地址(有时还包括电话号码)和发信日期

Inside Address :收信人的姓名(有时还包括头衔)和地址

Body:1)陈述主要信息或信函的目的2)详细陈述

3)限制或限度(补充说明)4)总结

Closing:Best,Best regards,Sincerely,Sincerely yours,Truly yours,Respectfully,Respectfully yours,

感谢信开头段常用句式和套话

★例:

Directions:

After being involved in an accident, you were looked after by another person. Write a letter:

1) mentioning what happened in the accident,

2) telling the person about your recovery, and

3) expressing your thanks.

You should write with no less than 100 words on Answer Sheet 2. Do not sign your own name at the end of the letter. Use "Li Ming" instead. You do not need to write the address.

SAMPLE WRITING范文:

Dear John,

I am writing to thank you for looking after me after that unfortunate accident the other day, when I was knocked off my bike by a taxi. If it had not been for your assistance in giving me first aid and taking me to a nearby hospital, I fear that the consequences might have been much more serious.

The doctor says that my broken leg is healing well. In addition, the taxi company has agreed to pay my hospital bills. Everyone agrees that it was your quick-witted response in that emergency that has led to this satisfactory outcome.

Although nowadays many people talk about the need to be unselfish and to help others, we see very few people practicing what they preach. But you showed by your actions that you are an exception.

道歉信

具体写作步骤:

首段:重述自己做错的事,表示歉意。

主体段落:说明道歉的具体原因,应尽量详细描述做错事的经过。写信时应该注意在申述理由时要照顾读信人的感受,切忌强词夺理。

结尾段:再次表明承认错误的态度,请求收信人的谅解。也可以提出补救的办法。

套话:

I would like to give you my apology for……

I am indeed very sorry for what I said/did,but believe I had no intention to insult you.

Let’ s not put a little misunderstanding between us.

Dear professor Jackson:

投诉信

(1)开头:自我介绍,交代投诉内容,表明本信的目的和要求。

(2)正文:说明情况,讲清利害,分析利弊。告诉对方你因此受到的伤害或不便,提出解决问题的建议,表明希望如何处理。

(3)结尾:表达希望问题得到迅速恰当解决的强烈愿望,希望尽快得到满意的答复。
