I have a mom, a dad, one younger brother, and a dog named Buddy. We love spending time together and going on adventures.Let me start by telling you about my mom. Her name is Sarah and she is the most caring and thoughtful person I know. She works as a nurse at the hospital, helping sick people get better. Even though her job is hard, she always comes home with a smile on her face. My mom loves cooking and baking for us. Her chocolate chip cookies are simply the best! She also helps me with my homework when I get stuck. My mom says learning is a journey and it's okay to ask for help. I'm so lucky to have such a supportive mom.My dad's name is Michael and he is really funny. He works at a computer company, helping to build cool tech products. After work, he loves playing games and cracking jokes to make us alllaugh. Dad isn't just hilarious, he's also really smart. He taught me how to ride a bike and helps me with my math homework. Sometimes we'll have competitions to see who can solve a problem the fastest. Even if I don't win, it's still fun trying. I admire how patient and loving my dad is.Now let me tell you about my little brother Jack. He just turned 6 years old and is a total goofball! Jack makes me laugh every single day with his silly faces and jokes. We like playing games together like tag, hide and seek, and video games. Sometimes Jack can be annoying when he doesn't listen, but I still love him a lot. We have a tight bond and I know he'll always have my back. Jack and I enjoy building awesome forts and having pretend adventures around the house. He's seriously the coolest little brother.Last but not least, I have to talk about our furry family member Buddy! Buddy is a 3-year-old golden retriever and is just a big bundle of energy. He gets so excited anytime someone comes home, wagging his tail like crazy. Buddy loves going for walks and runs in the park. We have to be careful though because if we throw a stick or ball, he'll bring it back but then never give it to us! Silly pup. At the end of the day, Buddy curlsup right next to me for snuggles and belly rubs. He's my best friend and I don't know what I'd do without him.My family does so many fun activities together. On weekends, we'll go hiking at the nature trails and have picnics. In the summer, we go swimming at the lake and have barbecues. During holidays like Christmas and Thanksgiving, we decorate the house and bake delicious treats. Mom and dad take us on awesome vacations too – last year we went to Disneyland! No matter what we're doing, as long as we're all together laughing and making memories, I'm happy.Sometimes families can get into disagreements or be stressed out. That happens to my family too. But at the end of the day, we all love and care about each other so much. We make sure to talk it out, apologize if we were wrong, and move on as a team. My parents always say that family is the most important thing in the world. I couldn't agree more!I feel incredibly lucky to be part of such an amazing, loving family. We stick together through the good times and bad. We share so much laughter, affection, and joy. My family fills my heart and world with happiness. They have taught me the important values of kindness, hard work, and being there for each other no matter what. I hope that when I grow up and havemy own family someday, I can give them the same wonderful experiences I've had. A loving family is the greatest gift of all.Thank you all for listening! I'll forever cherish the incredible bond I have with my awesome mom, dad, brother, and dog. Families really are the best.篇2Hello everyone! My name is Amy and I'm a 4th grader at Sunshine Elementary School. Today I'm going to talk to you about my favorite hobby - reading! I just love getting lost in the world of books.I started reading when I was really little. My mom and dad would read me bedtime stories every night before I went to sleep. Some of my earliest memories are snuggling up with them, looking at the colorful pictures, and hearing all about the adventures of characters like Curious George, The Very Hungry Caterpillar, and Winnie the Pooh.As I got a bit older, I graduated from picture books to early chapter books. I'll never forget the first chapter book I read all by myself - Charlotte's Web by E.B. White. I was completely captivated by the story of Wilbur the pig and his friend Charlotte, the spider who saved his life. I laughed, I cried, and I felt like I had made two brand new friends. These days, I read all sorts of books - fiction, non-fiction, fantasy, mysteries, you name it! I especially love book series because once I get hooked on the characters and world, I don't want the story to end. My top three favorite book series right now are Harry Potter, Percy Jackson, and The Babysitters Club.In the Harry Potter books, I'm utterly spellbound by the magical world of witches, wizards, and supernatural creatures. I've read all the books multiple times already and I never get tired of the epic storytelling and incredible imagination of author J.K. Rowling. I'm always so envious of the wizards being able to do magic with their wands! The Percy Jackson series is another firm favorite. I'm endlessly fascinated by Greek mythology and love following the adventures of Percy Jackson, the son of Poseidon, as he battles monsters and goes on dangerous quests. Rick Riordan's books make the ancient Greek gods seem so alive and real. Finally, The Babysitters Club books by Ann M. Martin are a lighthearted, funny, and relatable look at the lives of a group of friends who start their own babysitting business. I can picture myself in their shoes, dealing with tricky babysitting situationsand the ups and downs of friendship. The books never fail to make me giggle.Reading opens up whole new worlds of possibilities for me. When I read, my imagination runs wild and I get to envision amazing lands and meet extraordinary characters. I'm transported to different times and places that I could never experience in real life.Books also teach me so many valuable lessons about friendship, bravery, kindness, and perseverance through the challenges faced by the people and creatures in the stories. I feel like I gain new wisdom and inspiration every time I crack open a book.Apart from the entertainment and educational value, reading is a skill that will hugely benefit me throughout my life. The more I read, the better my comprehension, vocabulary, and writing abilities become. Reading will prepare me for further success in school and any future career. In my free time, you'll usually find me curled up in a cozy corner somewhere, completely absorbed in a good book. I'm literally never bored because as long as I have reading material, I can travel through endless literary adventures right from my own imagination!I'm extremely grateful to my parents for encouraging my love of reading from a very young age. They took me to the library frequently when I was little and we would check out big stacks of books. Now my room at home is overflowing with books! In fact, one of my most prized possessions is my library card. Every few weeks, I borrow new books from the library and then hungrily devour them over the next few days or weeks, depending on their length. The librarians all know me by name because I'm one of their most frequent visitors!Reading for me isn't just a hobby, it's a lifelong passion. I feel incredibly lucky to have discovered this amazing world of literature at such a young age. My dream is to one day become an author myself and create enchanting stories that capture the hearts and minds of readers, both young and old.So keep reading, keep exploring new books, and never stop using your imagination! Who knows what uncharted literary territories and adventures are waiting just behind the next page? Thank you all for listening!篇3My Summer VacationHi everyone! My name is Emily, and I'm a 4th-grader here at Sunny Hill Elementary School. Today, I'm going to tell you all about my summer vacation. It was the best summer ever! The first thing I did when school let out was go to summer camp. It was a really fun camp all about nature and the outdoors. We went hiking in the woods, learned how to build campfires, and even went canoeing on the lake! My favorite part was definitely the canoe trip. We saw so many cool animals like ducks, turtles, and even a deer drinking from the lake. It was amazing! At camp, I made a ton of new friends too. There was Sarah, who was really good at tying knots. And Jamie, who knew everything there is to know about different kinds of trees and plants. By the end of the two weeks, we were all like one big happy family. I was really sad when camp ended and we all had to go our separate ways. But we promised to keep in touch and maybe go to the same camp again next year! After camp, my family went on a big road trip across the country. We drove all the way from our home in California to visit my aunt, uncle, and cousins in New York. It took us five whole days of driving, but it was so much fun. We stopped at tons of awesome places along the way like the Grand Canyon, MountRushmore, and even got to see the worlds's biggest ball of twine! The best part though was finally getting to New York and spending time with my cousins Lily and Jack. They live on a farm, so they showed me all their animals – cows, chickens, horses, and more. I even got to milk a cow, which was harder than it looks! We spent our days running around playing tag in the fields, going on tractor rides, and having picnics by the pond. It felt like I was living in a whole other world. One of the funniest things that happened was when the farm's goats got loose and escaped from their pen. Lily, Jack, and I had to chase them all around, trying to get them back inside. The goats thought it was a fun game of tag though and just kept running away from us! Finally, my uncle came out with a bucket of food and was able to lure them back to their pen. We all collapsed on the grass afterwards, completely exhausted but laughing so hard our stomachs hurt. After two amazing weeks on the farm, it was time to start the long drive back home to California. The drive didn't feel as long this time though, because I had so many incredible memories to look back on. We all took turns talking about our favorite parts of the trip and playing road games like I Spy and 20 Questions. Before I knew it, we were pulling back into our driveway at home. Summer was officially over, but I had the best time ever. Now I'm back at school, and my teacher asked us all to share about our summer adventures. I've got so many great stories to tell – from canoeing at camp to chasing runaway goats on the farm. This was a summer I'll never forget! I made so many wonderful memories and new friends along the way. I can't wait to see what next summer has in store!篇4当然可以!以下是一个适合小学四年级英语口语展示活动的范文,希望能帮到你:My Favorite AnimalHello, everyone! My name is Lily, and today I want to tell you about my favorite animal. Can you guess what it is? It's a dolphin! Dolphins are amazing creatures that live in the ocean.Dolphins are very smart and friendly. They have a sleek body with gray skin and a long snout called a rostrum. Dolphins swim by moving their tails up and down, and they can swim really fast! They are also great jumpers and love to show off their acrobatic skills. One of the reasons why I love dolphins is because they are very playful. They like to play with each other and sometimes even with humans! I once went to an aquarium and watched a dolphin show. It was so much fun! The dolphins were doing tricks, jumping through hoops, and splashing water on the audience. It was a truly amazing experience.Another thing I find fascinating about dolphins is their communication skills. They communicate with each other by making different sounds like clicks, whistles, and squeaks. Scientists say that dolphins can even recognize themselves in a mirror, just like humans! Isn't that incredible?Dolphins are also very helpful to humans. They have been known to save people who are in danger in the water. They use their intelligence and strength to guide them to safety. Dolphins are truly heroes of the sea!In conclusion, dolphins are my favorite animals because they are smart, playful, and friendly. I love watching them swim and jump in the water. If you ever get a chance to see dolphins, I'm sure you will be amazed too! Thank you for listening to my presentation.篇5My Summer VacationHi everyone! My name is Emily and I'm going to tell you all about my summer vacation this year. It was the best summer ever! I had so much fun and did lots of cool things. The summer started off with a trip to my grandparents' house. They live on a farm way out in the country. As soon as we got there, my little brother Tommy and I ran out to the barn to see all the animals. Grandpa has cows, chickens, pigs, and even a couple horses! The funniest animals are the baby piglets. They are so cute and tiny and they make the funniest snorting sounds. Tommy and I spent hours just watching them run around and play.Grandma always has a huge garden too. We picked berries, carrots, tomatoes, and other veggies right from the garden. Everything tasted so fresh and delicious! I helped Grandma bake a pie with the strawberries we picked. The pie was still warm when we ate it for dessert that night. Mmm, I can still remember how amazing it tasted! One day, Grandpa took us on a hike through the woods near their farm. We saw a family of deer drinking from a stream! They ran off when they heard us coming. We also found a bird's nest up in a tree with three speckled blue eggs inside. I had neverseen a real bird's nest up close before. On the hike, Grandpa taught us about the different trees, plants, and animal tracks we saw. He knows so much about nature from living on the farm his whole life. After visiting the grandparents for a week, we headed to the beach to meet up with my cousins for a few days. We stayed in a big beach house right on the ocean. Every morning I could see and hear the waves crashing on the shore from my bedroom window. The beach was a short walk through the dunes. We spent hours every day boogie boarding, building sandcastles, and playing beach games. My cousin Diego accidentally got his frisbee stuck up in a tall palm tree! We had to use a long stick to knock it down. One afternoon, we saw a school of dolphins swimming not too far from shore! That was so cool.We also went mini golfing one night. The course had goofy obstacles like windmills, climbing walls, and even a working miniature roller coaster to hit your ball through! Tommy and I tried our best but Diego ended up winning with the lowest score. Maybe next time I'll beat him.On the drive home from the beach, we stopped at a giant water park. They had awesome waterslides, a wave pool, lazy river, and more. My favorite was the huge swirling bowl slidewhere you go down a trap door and get flushed around and around until you funnel out into the splash pool below. I must have gone on that slide a dozen times! The lazy river was nice to just float along and relax after going on all the wild rides. After getting home from our beach trip, we had a week left before school started again. During that week, we had a family reunion at a state park near our house. Cousins, aunts, uncles, and grandparents from both sides of the family all came. We played baseball, had sack races, did a scavenger hunt, and lots more fun activities. I got to meet some relatives I had never met before who live far away. We had a massive potluck picnic with every kind of food you can imagine - fried chicken, pasta salads, corn on the cob, watermelon, chips and salsa, you name it! Everybody brought their favorite dish to share. That night after the reunion, our bellies were completely stuffed. On the last weekend before school started, we went camping in the mountains. We hiked part of the Appalachian Trail during the day and made s'mores over the campfire at night. Sleeping in the tent under a sky full of stars was amazing. It was so quiet and peaceful in the woods. We saw wild turkeys, squirrels, and other critters scampering around our campsite each morning when we woke up.Well, that's a quick recap of the highlights from my summer break. Between visiting family, going to the beach, water parks, camping and more, it was jam packed with fun! I've got so many great memories from this summer. Sadly, it's already time to head back to school tomorrow. I'm actually really excited to see my friends and start 4th grade, but I'll miss the freedom and adventures of summer. Maybe I'll get to do something just as exciting next year when summer rolls around again!Does this 2000 word English essay written from a 4th grader's perspective about their summer vacation work for your spoken presentation assignment? I tried to capture an authentic young student's voice and describe some classic summer activities kids might experience. Let me know if you need any clarification or have additional requirements.篇6Hi everyone! My name is Emma and I'm going to talk to you today about my favorite hobby - reading books! I just love getting lost in a good story.Reading is so much fun because you can go on adventures and visit far away places without even leaving your house. When I read, my imagination takes me to magical realms with talkinganimals, gallant knights, friendly giants, and powerful wizards. I get to soar through the clouds on a dragon's back or swim deep under the ocean exploring shipwrecks and meeting mermaids. Some of my favorite books are from the Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling. I've read all seven books at least three times! I'm obsessed with the wizarding world and I dream of one day getting my Hogwarts letter delivered by an owl. Can you imagine how amazing it would be to learn spells, play Quidditch, and duel with wands? I'd definitely want to be in Gryffindor house like Harry, Ron and Hermione.Another book series I can't get enough of is Percy Jackson and the Olympians by Rick Riordan. The stories are set in the modern world but the Greek gods of Mount Olympus are real and having kids with humans, making the main characters powerful half-bloods. Percy is the son of Poseidon and has to go on epic quests to save the world from evil monsters and Gods. It's so cool how the myths from Ancient Greece are woven into adventures that take place today. When I was younger, some of my favorite books were the Winnie the Pooh stories by A.A. Milne. I loved following the silly adventures of Pooh, Piglet, Tigger, and all the residents of the Hundred Acre Wood. Even though it's been years since I readthem, I can still picture Pooh getting stuck in Rabbit's door while going after honey. Looking back, I realize those stories taught me a lot about friendship, kindness and using your imagination. While fiction books will always be my number one love, I also enjoy reading non-fiction books about real people, places and events. I have a huge book about ancient Egypt that I've read cover to cover multiple times. I'm fascinated by the pharaohs, mummies, pyramids and hieroglyphics. Who knows, maybe I'll grow up to be an Egyptologist! I've also learned so much from reading kids biographies about inspiring people like Amelia Earhart, Rosa Parks, Jane Goodall and Malala Yousafzai.Reading books is pretty much my favorite thing in the whole world, but I also love going to the movie theater to watch film adaptations of great books I've read. It's amazing to see the stories and characters come alive on the big screen. Although the movies are hardly ever as good as the books, I still get a thrill from watching my favorite tales play out in front of me. The only downside is I have to be really careful not to spoil the movies for my friends who haven't read the books yet!Well, those are some of my thoughts on why reading is so much fun! In my opinion, getting lost in a great book is one of the most amazing hobbies ever. Books allow you to travelthrough time and space with your imagination. They teach you new facts while expanding your vocabulary. Reading forces you to visualize descriptions, stretching your creativity. And most importantly, books provide an endless supply of adventures, laughs, mysteries and magic. The next time you're feeling bored, pick up a book and let your mind take you on an incredible journey. Who knows, you might even discover your new favorite tale or literary world to explore! Just open up those pages and get reading. An amazingly awesome adventure awaits between the covers of every book.Okay, I'm done rambling now! Let me know if you have any other questions about my favorite hobby. Does anyone else here love reading as much as me?。

四年级英语口语演讲稿
四年级英语口语演讲稿Hello everyone,。
Today, I am going to share with you a topic about "My Favorite Animal". As a fourth grader, I have always been fascinated by animals, and I have a special love for one particular animal the dolphin.Dolphins are amazing creatures that live in the ocean. They are known for their playful and friendly nature. When I see dolphins swimming gracefully in the ocean, I can't help but feel a sense of joy and wonder. Their sleek bodies and beautiful movements make them a sight to behold. One of the reasons why dolphins are my favorite animal is because of their intelligence. Did you know that dolphins are one of the smartest animals in the world? They have a large brain and are capable of learning and understanding complex tasks. Some dolphins have even been trained to perform tricks and interact with humans. This level of intelligence is truly remarkable and sets them apart from other animals.Another reason why I love dolphins is their strong sense of community and teamwork. Dolphins are known to live in groups called pods, and they work together to help and protect each other. They communicate with each other using a series of clicks and whistles, forming a unique language that allows them to coordinate their movements and activities. This sense of unity and cooperation is something that I find truly inspiring.Furthermore, dolphins are also known for their gentle and kind nature. They have been observed to help other animals in need, such as rescuing stranded swimmers or guiding lost whales back to safety. Their compassion and empathy towards other creatures make them truly special in the animal kingdom. In conclusion, dolphins are my favorite animal because of their intelligence, sense of community, and kind nature. They are truly remarkable creatures that continue to captivate and inspire me. I hope that by learning more about dolphins, we can all appreciate and respect the beauty of these amazing animals.Thank you for listening.。
小学生四年级英语口语比赛演讲稿范文
小学生四年级英语口语比赛演讲稿范文全文共3篇示例,供读者参考篇1Title: Making a Difference, One Small Step at a TimeHello everyone! My name is [your name] and I'm a 4th grade student at [school name]. Today, I want to talk to you about how we can make a positive difference in the world, one small step at a time. All of us, no matter how young or old, have the power to create change. We might think that big problems like pollution, poverty, or animal cruelty are too huge for kids like us to tackle. But the truth is, if we all work together and do small things every day, we can make the world a better place. One way we can help is by taking care of our environment. The Earth is our home, and we need to treat it with respect. An easy thing we can do is recycle - things like plastic bottles, paper, and aluminum cans. Instead of just throwing them away, we can put them in the recycling bin so they get reused instead of ending up in landfills or the ocean.Another way to help the planet is by saving energy. We can turn off lights when we leave a room, unplug electronics when they aren't being used, and walk or ride our bikes instead of taking a car for short trips. Every little bit helps conserve energy and reduce pollution.Protecting animals is another cause that's important to me. There are so many amazing creatures out there that need our help and protection. One way to make a difference is by refusing to buy products that were tested on animals. We can also adopt our pets from shelters instead of pet stores. If we see an animal that's being mistreated or abandoned, we shouldn't ignore it. We can tell a trusted adult right away so they can get the animal the help it needs. As Dr. Seuss said, "Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot, nothing is going to get better. It's not."We can also help other humans in need, like people experiencing homelessness or hunger. Something as simple as donating canned goods to a food bank, or giving some pocket change to someone on the street, can make their day a little brighter. And if we see someone being bullied or left out, we should have the courage to stick up for them.Another way to create positive change is by learning about and celebrating different cultures. The world is an amazing, diverse place filled with people of all backgrounds, beliefs, and traditions. By keeping an open mind and treating everyone with kindness and respect, we can help break down barriers and bring people together. It's also important to be a good student and get a solid education. Knowledge is power! The more we learn, the better equipped we'll be to come up with creative solutions to problems big and small. Every new thing we learn today can help shape a better tomorrow. Finally, we should never underestimate the power of a simple act of kindness or a friendly smile. Holding the door for someone, offering to help carry groceries, or just giving somebody a compliment can truly brighten their day in ways we may never know.Small acts of compassion, no matter how seemingly insignificant, can create ripples of positivity that keep spreading outward. As the saying goes, "No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted."So in conclusion, let's all pledge to do what we can, wherever we can, to make our world a little bit better every single day. Itdoesn't take much - just some small, simple steps in the right direction. Because if every single one of us makes an effort, our combined positive impact will be absolutely huge. We've got this! Thank you.篇2Title: My Journey to Become a Better SpeakerHello everyone! My name is [your name] and I'm a 4th grade student at [your school]. Today I'm going to share my journey of learning to speak English and how it has helped me become a better speaker. When I was very little, I didn't know any English at all. My parents only spoke to me in [your native language] at home. English seemed like a totally foreign language to me. The words and sounds were strange and confusing. I remember watching TV shows and movies in English and not understanding a single thing! Then in kindergarten, I had my first English lessons at school. It was very difficult at first. I could barely say simple phrases like "Hello, how are you?" The letters and sounds didn't make sense. My English teacher was really patient with me though. She used fun games, songs, and picture books to help me learn.Slowly but surely, it started clicking. By first grade, I could have simple conversations and understand basic stories my teacher read out loud. I was so proud of myself! English wasn't so scary and impossible anymore. In second grade, we started learning to read and write in English too. That's when it got challenging again. There were so many confusing spelling and grammar rules to remember. Like why is "night" spelled with a "gh"? And why do we say "went" instead of "goed"? It made my head spin! But my teacher gave us lots of practice with engaging activities. We acted out dialogues, sang songs about grammar rules, and played word games.Third grade was when I really started enjoying my English lessons. We read longer stories and did fun projects like putting on short plays in English. My confidence grew a lot that year. English was becoming natural and comfortable for me, like [your native language].Now in fourth grade, I can express myself much better in English. I'm able to describe my thoughts, feelings, and opinions clearly. I can understand lessons, movies, and books without translating in my head constantly. English is becoming one of "my" languages, not just a foreign subject to study.Of course, I still have so much more to learn about English. The vocabulary, idioms, and grammar rules seem endless! ButI'm not afraid of making mistakes anymore. Mistakes are a natural part of the learning journey. Every time I make a mistake, I learn something new. My English teachers always encourage us to keep trying and not be afraid of speaking up.Speaking English allows me to connect with so many more people than just in my home country and language. I can talk to people from the United States, Canada, England, Australia, and anywhere else English is spoken. I've made new friends from other countries through language apps and video calls. The world has become a much bigger and smaller place for me at the same time!English also opens up opportunities for my future education and career. If I want to attend an international school or university someday, having good English skills will be extremely important. Many amazing jobs require excellent English communication too.My language journey isn't over, but I've come so far already. I'm proud of the progress I've made and excited to keep learning. Every new English phrase I master feels like a tiny victory! I have more confidence speaking up in class and at social events now.To any other students learning English, I want to share my advice:First, don't be afraid to make mistakes. That's normal when learning a new language. If you're too scared of saying something wrong, you'll never have the chance to practice and improve.Next, make language learning fun! Watch movies and shows, listen to music, and play games in English. When you enjoy it, you'll learn much faster. Also, practice as much as possible with native speakers. Their feedback is so valuable to fix errors and learn proper expressions. Most importantly, be patient with yourself. Learning a language takes a lot of time and effort. There will be frustrating days, but don't give up. If I can do it, you can too!In the end, becoming bilingual in English has been one of my biggest achievements so far. It's opened up my world and allowed me to make new friends globally. I'm grateful for the amazing English teachers who guided me with care and creativity.I can't wait to see where my English skills take me in the future. Maybe I'll become a translator, internationalbusinessperson, or even an English teacher myself someday! The possibilities are endless. For now, I'll just keep studying hard, making mistakes, and learning every day.Thank you all for listening!篇3Title: The Wonders of BooksHello everyone! My name is Alex and I'm a 4th grade student here at Oakwood Elementary School. Today, I want to talk to you all about one of my greatest passions - books!Ever since I was a little kid, I've loved reading. There's just something magical about opening up a book and being transported to distant lands, futuristic worlds, or even just the everyday lives of characters that feel so real. Books have the power to spark our imaginations and take us on incredible adventures without ever leaving our rooms. One of my earliest book memories is my mom reading me bedtime stories every night before I went to sleep. We'd snuggle up together and she'd read in these big, dramatic voices that always kept me on the edge of my seat, desperate to find outwhat happened next. Books like "Where the Wild Things Are" and "The Cat in the Hat" filled my dreams with visions of rambunctious creatures and zany escapades. As I got a bit older, I discovered the joy of reading books all by myself. I'd hunker down under my covers with a flashlight, determined to stay up way past my bedtime because I just had to know how the story ended. Books like "The Magic Treehouse" series and the "Harry Potter" novels opened up entire new worlds of fantasy and adventure that had me wishing I could somehow step through the pages. These days, I've become a bit of a book devourer - both figuratively and literally! I go through books so fast that my parents have to keep replenishing my supply. Fromaction-packed tales about spies and superheroes to books about real-life events and people in history, I'll read just about anything I can get my hands on. My current favorites are the "Percy Jackson" series about kids with cool ancestral powers, and the "Who Was..." biography books about famous figures like Amelia Earhart and Martin Luther King Jr.What I love most about books is how they allow you to walk a mile in someone else's shoes. Through reading, I've experienced what it's like to be a teenage wizard battling evillords, a survival expert stranded in the wilderness, and a young girl growing up in a different era. Books give you a window into different cultures, backgrounds, and perspectives unlike anything else. They teach you empathy and understanding in a way no classroom lecture ever could.Books have also taught me so many valuable lessons about friendship, courage, persistence and staying true to yourself. Whether it's the iconic trio of Harry, Ron and Hermione facing magical dangers together or Wilbur the pig being loyalty defended by Charlotte the spider - these characters have shown me the importance of having friends who have your back through thick and thin.I've laughed, I've cried, I've cheered, and I've held my breath in suspense - all thanks to the incredible written works I've experienced. Books have the power to evoke so many emotions and transport you to different realms in a way that movies, TV shows, and even video games can't quite capture. It's that feeling of being utterly lost in another world, with your mind painting vivid pictures of the story's characters and settings and events unlike any visual media can.Books are more than just forms of entertainment, though. They're almost like portals to knowledge and understanding.Reading books has helped expand my vocabulary, improve my comprehension skills, and become a stronger writer myself. The more books I've read over the years, the better I've gotten at analyzing literature - being able to pick up on deeper meanings, make connections, and think critically about what I'm reading.More than that, books have opened my eyes to the scale and diversity of our world. I've been able to learn about different time periods, distant lands, complex scientific theories and important historical events - all through reading books. No classroom could ever teach me as much as the books I've escaped into over the years. Books are perhaps the most powerful educational resources we have.So you can probably guess that my biggest dream is to one day become a published author and maybe even see my own book on shelves around the world! I've been working on story ideas and writing short tales since I was about 6 years old. Who knows, maybe one of you could end up reading one of my books sometime in the future. In the meantime, I just want to encourage all of you to keep reading and discovering the joys and wonders of books. They have the ability to enrich our lives in so many ways - whether that's by firing up our imaginations, increasing our knowledgeand understanding, or teaching us valuable life lessons. For a book lover like myself, there's no greater feeling than being whisked away on an amazing journey, traveling through vibrant realms constructed by words on a page.So go explore your local library or bookstore. Read under the covers with a flashlight like I used to. Heck, maybe you can even start bringing books on car rides the way I do! Whatever it is, just keep reading. That magical world of books will always be there, waiting for new readers to get lost in them. Thank you!。
四年级下册英语口语比赛作文400字
四年级下册英语口语比赛作文400字全文共6篇示例,供读者参考篇1My English Speaking ContestHi everyone! My name is Emma and I'm a 4th grader at Oakwood Elementary School. I'm really excited because next week is our school's annual English Speaking Contest! My teacher, Mrs. Anderson, encouraged all of us to enter and work hard to prepare a great speech.I've been practicing my English skills a lot lately to get ready. Speaking English is not always easy since it's my second language, but I've been trying my best. My parents only speak our native language at home, so school is where I get most of my English practice. For the contest, we each have to prepare a 3-5 minute speech on a topic of our choice and present it in front of judges. The judges will score us on things like pronunciation, fluency, grammar, vocabulary, and overall presentation skills. The student with the highest score wins!At first, I had no clue what to talk about for my speech. Mrs. Anderson suggested we pick a topic we feel passionate about and know a lot about already. That way, it's easier to speak clearly and confidently.I decided my topic would be about my favorite sport - basketball! I've been playing basketball since I was in 1st grade and I'm on my school's team. Basketball makes me so happy and I never get tired of talking about it.For my speech, I'm going to introduce what basketball is and share how I first got into the sport. Then I'll explain the basic rules and object of the game. I'll describe what positions there are and what each player's role is.I'll talk about some of my favorite professional basketball players and teams too. Of course, I'll make sure to mention my own experience playing on my school's team. I can share some highlights from our past games and tournaments. To prepare, I've been writing out my whole speech and practicing saying it out loud over and over again. My parents have been so supportive, listening to me practice every night. Sometimes we even video record my practice sessions so I can watch myself and keep improving.I'm getting more confident with my pronunciation of tricky English words related to basketball, like "dribble" and "free throw." I'm working hard on speaking slowly and clearly with good volume. Body language is important too, so I'm practicing keeping good posture and making eye contact. It's a lot of work getting ready, but I'm having fun with it! Even if I don't win the contest, preparing this speech is really helping me get more comfortable speaking English in front of people. That's a victory in itself.Wish me luck, everyone! I'll let you know how the contest goes after next week. Being able to speak and understand English well is such an useful skill. This experience is helping me see how much my skills have grown already and motivating me to keep practicing. Thanks for listening!篇2Hi everyone! My name is Lily and I'm a 4th grader at Sunny Hills Elementary School. Today I'm going to talk to you all about my favorite hobby - reading books!I just love getting lost in a good story. Whenever I open up a book, it's like being transported to another world. The characters feel like friends and I get to go on all kinds of amazingadventures with them without even leaving my room. How cool is that?My love for reading started when I was really little. My mom and dad would read me bedtime stories every single night before I went to sleep. Some of my favorites were Goodnight Moon, The Very Hungry Caterpillar, and Clifford the Big Red Dog.I remember thinking the pictures were so pretty and the stories were just magical. As I got a bit older, I started reading the books myself instead of having them read to me. That's when I discovered some of my favorite book series like The Magic Treehouse, Junie B. Jones, and of course, Harry Potter! I really looked up to brave characters like Jack and Annie, Junie B., and Harry, Ron and Hermione. Reading about their adventures made me feel courageous too. These days, I've moved on to longer chapter books and novels. I recently read Wonder by R.J. Palacio and it totally made me cry! It's such an inspirational story about a boy with a facial deformity and how he overcomes bullying with kindness. I think everyone should read that book.Another book I loved was Front Desk by Kelly Yang. It's based on the author's own experiences growing up in a motelthat her immigrant parents ran. I found the story reallyeye-opening about the challenges that many immigrant families face. But it was also funny and sweet at the same time.My latest obsession is the Land of Stories series by Chris Colfer. It combines classic fairy tales that we all know and love with new adventures and characters. The books are quite long but I can never put them down because the stories are just so creative and engaging!Reading has taken me to so many incredible places already - from the towering trees of Fablehaven, to the magical schools of Hogwarts and Alma Tor, to galaxies far far away. I can't wait to see where the next book I read will transport me. Maybe I'll get to walk amongst the ancient ruins of Greece and Rome, or set sail for mysterious islands. Or maybe I'll even get to go back in time and hang out with famous figures from history! The possibilities are endless when you have a book in your hands. That's why I think reading is just about the coolest hobby ever. Books allow you to learn, to use your imagination, to experience wonderful adventures, and to make new friends in the form of characters - all from the comfort of your own home. And getting lost in a riveting story is just so much fun!I really hope I've inspired some of you to pick up reading asa hobby too if you don't already love it as much as I do. A famous author named Dr. Seuss once said: "The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you'll go." That rings so true for me and my experiences with books so far. Happy reading, everyone!篇3My English Speaking Contest ExperienceHi everyone! My name is Amy and I'm a 4th grader at Maple Elementary School. Today I want to share with you all about my amazing experience participating in our school's annual English Speaking Contest. It all started a few months ago when my English teacher, Mrs. Roberts, announced that she was looking for students to represent our class in the contest. I really enjoy learning and practicing English, so I decided to sign up. A bunch of my classmates also signed up – we were all really excited! The first step was to prepare a short speech on a topic of our choice. I spent a long time thinking about what to write my speech on. At first, I thought about doing it on my favorite book series, but then I decided to go with something more personal –my experience moving from China to the United States when I was 6 years old.I worked really hard on writing out my speech, making sure to use proper English grammar and lots of descriptive words to paint a picture with my story. My parents helped me practice delivering the speech out loud over and over again. I also made sure to work on my pronunciation, intonation, and body language. Finally, the day of the classroom preliminaries arrived. I was pretty nervous, but also confident because of how much I had prepared. One by one, each contestant got up to give their speech. I was impressed by how well my classmates did! When it was my turn, I took a deep breath and started speaking."When I was 6 years old, my parents told me we were moving from Beijing, China to Los Angeles, California..."I recounted the story of packing up our belongings, saying goodbye to my grandparents and friends, and boarding the long flight across the Pacific. I described my first impressions of America - the different sights, sounds, and smells. I talked about how difficult it was at first not knowing any English and how I felt like an outsider. But over time, through attending school andmaking friends, I gradually became more comfortable in my new home. When I finished, my classmates and Mrs. Roberts all clapped enthusiastically. A few days later, the results were posted – I had been selected as one of the three students from our class to move on to the school-wide contest! The weeks leading up to the school contest were a blur of intense practice sessions. My parents continued drilling me on my speech. My older sister, who is in 7th grade, gave me lots of useful tips since she had been in the contest before. I also worked with Mrs. Roberts on my stage presence and responding to any questions the judges might ask. Then the big day finally arrived. I was feeling a mixture of excitement and nerves as my parents and I walked into the auditorium packed with students, teachers, and families. When it was my turn to go on stage, I could feel my heart pounding in my chest. But as soon as I started speaking, I was able to relax and get into the flow of my speech.Afterwards, the judges asked me a couple follow-up questions about my experience learning English. I think I was able to answer them clearly and confidently thanks to all my practice. I tried my best to really convey the challenges I faced, but also how rewarding it has been to become fluent in a second language and culture. While I awaited the results along with the other contestants, I felt proud no matter what happened. Just making it to this level was a huge achievement in itself after all the hard work I had put in.When they finally announced the winners, I was stunned and overjoyed to hear my name called for 3rd place! I couldn't believe it. As I walked up on stage and received my medal and certificate, I felt such a tremendous sense of accomplishment. This was definitely one of the highlights of my elementary school experience so far.Overall, participating in the English Speaking Contest was an incredibly enriching experience that allowed me to step outside my comfort zone, build essential public speaking skills, and gain more confidence in my English abilities. While it required a lot of dedication and perseverance, it was absolutely worth it.I'm already excited about the possibility of doing it again next year! But for now, I'm just feeling so grateful to my parents, sister, and Mrs. Roberts for supporting me every step of the way. This is a memory I'll cherish forever.篇4My Journey with EnglishHi everyone! My name is Emma and I'm a 4th grader at Sunny Hills Elementary School. Today I want to share my journey of learning English with all of you.I still remember the first time I was introduced to English. It was in kindergarten and I was really nervous. All the letters looked so strange and the words sounded funny. But my teacher, Mrs. Johnson, was super nice and patient with us.At first, learning English was really hard. I would get frustrated because I just couldn't remember all the new words and rules. Why did "tough" sound so篇5My English Speaking JourneyHi everyone! My name is Emily and I'm a 4th grade student. Today I want to share with you my journey of learning English and how it has helped me grow.It all started when I was just a little kid in kindergarten. We had an English class once a week and I remember being soexcited for it! The teacher would teach us simple words like "apple", "book", and "hello." I loved repeating the words and trying to say them just like the teacher. My parents also got me some English picture books and I would spend hours looking at the pictures and reading the words out loud.In 1st grade, we started learning more vocabulary and simple sentences. I still remember my first full sentence - "I have a red ball." Speaking that first full English sentence made me feel so proud! We also started learning the alphabet and how to spell basic words. My teacher would have us do fun activities like singing the alphabet song.2nd grade was when English really started getting challenging for me. We learned about verb tenses, adjectives, and question words. Forming full sentences was hard at first. I would mix up my words or say things incorrectly. But my teacher was very patient and encouraging. She would gently correct me and have me keep practicing. Little by little, my English skills improved. Then in 3rd grade, we began reading simple stories and books in English. Reading out loud was very intimidating for me initially. I was worried about mispronouncing words or not understanding the plot. But my teacher created a safeenvironment where we could all practice without fear of embarrassment. By the end of the year, I loved raising my hand to read passages from our books. Now, here I am in 4th grade. English has become one of my favorite subjects! We're learning about more advanced grammar concepts like perfect tenses and modal verbs. We also get to have conversations and practice dialogues with partners. Just last week, we did a fun skit about ordering food at a restaurant. I played the role of the server and really worked on my English pronunciation and intonation.Learning English has helped me in so many ways beyond just the language itself. It has taught me discipline, persistence, and the value of practice. Whenever I feel frustrated because something is difficult, I remind myself of how far I've come with English. It motivates me to keep trying.English has also opened up a whole new world for me. I can read incredible stories, watch fun movies and shows, and connect with people from all over the world. Someday, I hope to travel and put my English skills to use conversing with locals.Overall, my English speaking journey has been an amazing adventure so far. There have been challenges and struggles, but also incredible amounts of growth, pride, and joy. I am sograteful to my parents and teachers for their support and encouragement every step of the way.I still have so much more to learn, but I am excited to continue improving my English skills. To anyone also learning, I encourage you to stick with it! Be patient, keep practicing, and don't be afraid to make mistakes. The rewards of speaking this global language are immense.Thank you all for listening to my story today. I appreciate you letting me practice my English speaking in front of you. Here's to many more years of learning, growing, and most importantly, not being afraid to use my voice.篇6My English Speaking Contest ExperienceHi everyone! My name is Emma and I'm a fourth-grade student at Sunny Hills Elementary School. Today I want to tell you all about my experience participating in the annual English Speaking Contest at our school. It was such an exciting and nerve-wracking experience! It all started a few months ago when my English teacher, Mrs. Johnson, announced that our class would be selecting studentsto represent us in the contest. She said it was a great opportunity to practice our English speaking skills in front of an audience. At first, I wasn't sure if I wanted to do it because I get really shy speaking in front of a lot of people. But my best friend Katie convinced me that we should both sign up and do it together. She's so brave and outgoing, which is the total opposite of me!We had to prepare a short speech on a topic of our choice. Katie and I decided to do our speech on our favorite books because we both love reading so much. We spent weeks working on it together after school, practicing over and over until we had it perfectly memorized. I still got butterflies in my stomach every time I thought about actually performing it in front of the judges and audience though. Finally, the day of the contest arrived. When we got to school, there were lots of parents and teachers setting up chairs in the auditorium and decorations everywhere. We had to check in backstage and wait for our turn to compete. The backstage area was complete chaos with all the other students practicing their speeches and getting their outfits and props ready. I was so nervous I thought I might be sick! But then it was our turn to go on stage. The bright lights were shining in our faces and there were so many people in theaudience watching us. I took a deep breath and suddenly felt calm. Katie went first and did an amazing job. She spoke clearly and gestured with her hands like we had practiced. When it was my turn, I channeled all my nerves into extra enthusiasm and energy. I don't even really remember doing the speech - it was like an out-of-body experience! But I know I didn't make any mistakes. After all the contestants had gone, we had to wait forever for the judges to decide the winners. I crossed my fingers and toes so hard. And guess what? Katie and I both won prizes! She got 2nd place and I got 3rd place in our grade level. We jumped up and down screaming and hugging each other when they called our names. Our parents looked so proud.Overall, the experience of being in the English Speaking Contest was one I'll never forget. Even though I was terrified at first, I'm so glad I stepped out of my comfort zone and did it. It really boosted my confidence in my English skills and public speaking abilities. I can't wait to do it again next year!。

With interest will be motivated to learn, the more naturally learn better. Second, in order to improve learning, we must master the correct way to learn, learn to digest, giving top priority, this is the most important. In learning, our minds must have three words - "Why!" Smart people know that; wise men know to listen to; smart people know to ask. The last is sure to be hard work, this is the most important, even Thomas Edison said "Genius needs ninety-nine percent perspiration."School should seriously lectures, and pay attention tomore independent thinking, do not know want to ask, to exercise their thinking skills. Careful and meticulous to teacher assignments, must not be careless. There is, to take notes, preview before clathe best, first have a preliminary understanding of the text, which for the next clacan more easily absorb. After-school must also be reviewed, and consolidate the knowledge about good teachers, and lay a solid foundation. The ancients have said: "Reviewing the Old, to be a teacher." Not also the truth? Best to payattention to work and rest. Only care about the death of reading is of no use to let my mind relax properly for the job such as playing baseball, listening to music, watch TV news. Finally, I want to say "do not you go stronger than others, then you have to and they are better than weak, you challengedyourself to stay on a par before himself, and you will reap better than others."I finished the speech Thank you!china dream, with each one of us.dream is the sun, it makes people from impetuous to solid, from the hesitation to the firm, and on the road to success.dream is powerful, it is the life source of forward momentum; lofty dreams can inspire a life all potential.because of this we will go to dream, to grasp the dream, the pursuit of dreams.i believe that as long as all of our young people unite together and perform our own functions that study hard in school and work hard after we graduating from university . we must be able to achieve our great dream meanwhile eich ourselves unwittingly!my dream, our dream, to improve the chinese dream. let us unite together to realize chinese nations great rejuvenation to struggle! to you the day of my dreams to realize, is standing at the time of china.

1My Favorite Season is SummerSummer is definitely my favorite season of the year. I look forward to summer more than anything! Once the last few weeks of school go by, I can't wait for summer vacation to finally arrive. Summer means three wonderful months off from school, staying up late, sleeping in, lounging around the house, and best of all - no homework! The weather in summer is amazing. The temperatures are warm and perfect for spending tons of time outdoors. On summer days, I love going to the community pool and swimming for hours. Splashing around and playing pool games like Marco Polo with my friends is so much fun. The cool refreshing water feels incredible when it's hot outside. My mom always packs a picnic lunch for us full of summer treats like watermelon, popsicles, and lemonade. My family also likes to go to the beach during the summer. We pack up the car with beach chairs, umbrellas, sand toys, andboogie boards and spend the whole day on the sand. I make awesome sandcastles and have competitions with my little brother to see who can build the biggest one. We also go body surfing and try to catch the perfect waves to ride in on our boards. The salty ocean air and crashing sounds of the waves are so peaceful and relaxing. For dinner we often have a beachside picnic and cook hot dogs and hamburgers on the portable grill. At night, we look for crabs along the shoreline using flashlights.Summer is also the best season for camping. A few times each summer, we go on camping trips to national parks and forests near our town. We pack up the tent, sleeping bags, camp stove, and lots of snacks into the car. Once we arrive at the campsite, my dad gets a fire going in the fire pit using just sticks and matches. He's like a real life survivalist! We roast hot dogs and make s'mores over the crackling fire, which is my favorite campfire treat. I love staring up at the bright stars that you can see so clearly in the night sky away from the city lights. My dad points out all the different constellations to me and my brother. In the morning we eat campfire breakfast like bacon, eggs, and pancakes cooked on the portable stove. During the day we go on long hikes through the woods, splashing through creeks and keeping our eyes peeled for any cool wildlife like deer or bears. The fresh pine smell of the forest is so refreshing.Another thing I love about summer is the amazing summer produce that is in season. Peaches, watermelon, strawberries, tomatoes, corn, and so many other fruits and veggies are at their peak ripeness and most delicious. My mom and I love going to the local farmer's market every Saturday morning to pick up bushels of freshly picked goodies. We use the summers fruits and veggies to make all sorts of delicious summer recipes like strawberry shortcake, grilled corn on the cob, and fresh salsa with tomatoes and peppers. Yum!The warm summer nights are also really special. Often my family and I will have a backyard picnic dinner on our patio. We'll grill burgers and hotdogs and make a fun spread of side dishes like coleslaw, potato salad, and corn on the cob. After we've eaten until we're stuffed, we light a bonfire in our firepit in the backyard and make s'mores for dessert. We'll play outdoor games in the yard like cornhole, ladder ball, and croquet as it starts to get dark. Right before bedtime, we'll lay out blankets on the lawn and watch for shooting stars across the summer night sky. The fireflies twinkling their little lights make the backyard seem even more magical.Aside from all the summer fun and activities, I also really enjoy being on summer break from school. I love getting to stayup way past my usual bedtime on school nights and sleeping in late the next morning. During the day I get to just hang out at home, snacking on popsicles and watching movies or playing video games in my pjs if I want to. No rushing through a morning routine or sitting through classes all day long! Having that big chunk of free time in the summer is amazing after being so scheduled and busy during the school year.篇2My Favorite SeasonHi everyone! My name is Emma and I'm a 4th grader at Oakwood Elementary School. Today I'm going to talk to you about my absolute favorite season of the year - summer!Summer is the best season for so many reasons. First of all, the weather is amazing! The sun is shining, the temperatures are warm and perfect for playing outside, and everything is green and beautiful. After the cold, dreary months of winter, those first warm sunny days of summer feel like heaven. One of my favorite things about summer is that school is out and I don't have to go to class or do homework. Don't get me wrong, I actually like school and learning new things. But having those long, carefree summer days with no schedule orresponsibilities is just the greatest! I can sleep in late, stay up watching movies, and basically do whatever I want all day long.Another awesome thing about summer is going to the beach or the pool and swimming all day. I'm kind of a fish - I could swim for hours and hours without getting bored. Splashing around in the cool water on a hot summer day is so refreshing and fun. My family has a pool in our backyard, but we also like to go to the beach a lot during the summer because the ocean is amazing. I love riding the waves, building sandcastles, looking for seashells, and playing fun beach games like frisbee and paddleball.Speaking of fun summer activities, summer is also perfect for going on trips, vacations, and adventures! Last summer, my family went camping for a week in the mountains. We went hiking, caught fish in the streams, roasted marshmallows over the campfire, and slept in tents under a canopy of bright stars. It was incredible being out in nature away from technology, cars, and all the noise of everyday life. This summer, we're planning a big road trip to drive across the country and see amazing national parks like the Grand Canyon and Yellowstone. I can't wait!Summer also means lots of fun seasonal celebrations and events. Fourth of July is one of my favorite holidays, with the cookouts, parades, fireworks shows, and other festivities. I also love going to watch baseball games during the summer - snacking on hot dogs and Cracker Jacks while cheering on my favorite team is the best. And you can't forget about summer camps! I go to a day camp every summer where we do arts and crafts, play games and sports, have talent shows, and so much more. Camp is like a second home away from home filled with nonstop fun.Another great part of summer is all the delicious foods that come with the season. Juicy watermelon slices, popsicles and ice cream to beat the heat, fresh fruits like strawberries and peaches, corn on the cob slathered in butter and salt - summer has the tastiest treats! And don't even get me started on barbecues with hamburgers, hot dogs, and my mom's famous potato salad. My mouth is watering just thinking about it!You probably noticed that this whole time I've been talking about summer from a kid's perspective - things like no school, going to camp, eating ice cream, and playing at the beach. But summer is awesome for grown-ups too! Parents and adults love the warm weather for doing outdoor activities like hiking, biking, gardening, golfing, and having backyard parties and barbecues with friends. Summer is a great time to disconnect from work, relax, and spend quality time with family. So those are just some of the reasons why I absolutely love summer more than any other season. From the beautiful weather and long sunny days, to the fun-filled activities, celebrations, vacations, and delicious foods, summer is simply the best! When those first few crisp fall days roll around in September, you'll find me huddled inside wrapped in a blanket, missing summer already and counting down the days until it returns. Summer, please never end! Thanks for listening, everyone.篇3My Favorite SeasonHello, everyone! My name is Emily, and today I'm going to talk about my favorite season of the year – summer! I love summer for so many reasons, and I can't wait to share them with you.First of all, summer means no school! Can you believe it? Three whole months of freedom, without having to wake up early, do homework, or take tests. Instead, we get to sleep in, play outside, and have fun all day long. Isn't that just the best?During the summer, the weather is absolutely perfect. The sun is shining brightly, the temperatures are nice and warm, and there's hardly ever any rain. It's the ideal time to go swimming, have picnics, and enjoy all sorts of outdoor activities. My family and I love to go to the beach and build sandcastles, splash in the ocean, and collect seashells. We also like to go hiking in the mountains and explore different trails. The fresh air and beautiful scenery are so refreshing.Another thing I adore about summer is all the delicious food! My mom makes the most amazing lemonade, and we love to have backyard barbecues with juicy hamburgers, hot dogs, and corn on the cob. And let's not forget about ice cream! There's nothing better than a cold, creamy ice cream cone on a hot summer day. My favorite flavors are chocolate and strawberry, but I'll pretty much eat any flavor you give me.Summer is also the perfect time for fun activities and adventures. My friends and I love to have sleepovers, go camping, and stay up late watching movies or roasting marshmallows by the fire. We can play outside for hours without having to worry about getting too cold or the sun going down too early. Sometimes we even set up a lemonade stand or have a yard sale to earn some extra money. One of my favorite summer traditions is going to the county fair. There are so many exciting things to see and do – rides, games, livestock shows, and of course, all the yummy fair food like cotton candy, funnel cakes, and caramel apples. I always look forward to watching the fireworks display at the end of the night. It's truly magical!Summer is also a great time for reading. I love to curl up in a cozy spot with a good book and let my imagination run wild. Sometimes I even like to set up a little reading nook outside, under a shady tree or on a comfy blanket in the backyard. There's something special about getting lost in a story while surrounded by the sights and sounds of summer. In conclusion, summer is my absolute favorite season for so many reasons – the warm weather, the delicious foods, the fun activities, and the general feeling of freedom and relaxation. It's a time to make wonderful memories with family and friends, and to enjoy the simple pleasures of life. So here's to summer – the best season of them all!篇4My Favorite SeasonHi everyone! My name is Emily and I'm a 4th grader at Oakwood Elementary School. Today I'm going to talk to you about my absolute favorite season of the year - summer!Summer is the best for so many reasons. First of all, the weather is amazing. Instead of freezing cold temperatures and having to bundle up in a million layers every time I go outside, the summer is nice and warm. I can wear shorts, t-shirts, and sandals all day. The sun feels so good on my skin and it makes me really happy and energetic.Another great thing about summer is that there's no school! Don't get me wrong, I like learning new things, but sitting at a desk for 6 hours a day gets really boring after a while. In the summer, I'm free to sleep in as late as I want, stay up late, and do whatever activities I feel like doing instead of following a strict schedule. My parents still make me do some work like reading books and a few worksheets, but it's nothing compared to the pile of homework I get during the school year.Speaking of activities, that's one of the main reasons I love summer so much - there are endless fun things to do! My family usually takes a big vacation trip every summer, and we've gone to some awesome places like the beach, amusement parks, national parks to go hiking, and more. But you don't have to goanywhere special to have fun in the summer. My friends and I spend hours playing outside - having water balloon fights, going to the pool or beach, playing basketball and other sports, riding our bikes around the neighborhood, and just generally running around and being crazy kids. In the winter it's hard to do much besides watch TV and play video games because it's just too cold and snowy to be outside for very long. Then there are the amazing summer foods and snacks that you can really only get during this time of year. Fruits like watermelon, strawberries, peaches, and cherries are so juicy, sweet, and refreshing on a hot day. We grill out for dinner all the time, and there's nothing better than a hamburger or hot dog fresh off the barbecue. And no summer is complete without a trip to the ice cream truck for a delicious frozen treat like a bomb pop or cookie sandwich! I definitely have to eat a few extra servings of vegetables in the summer to make up for all the junk food.Another thing I look forward to every summer is the 4th of July holiday. My whole family gets together for a huge cookout with all my aunts, uncles, cousins and grandparents. We play lawn games like cornhole for hours and just hang out and catch up. Then after it gets dark, we get to watch the most incrediblefireworks show! The colorful explosions lighting up the night sky are so beautiful and exciting. I love curling up on a blanket with some hot chocolate and s'mores while ooh-ing and ahh-ing at all the different fireworks. But those few negatives are definitely outweighed by all the awesome things about summer that I love. From the warm sunny weather to the endless time to play outside with my friends, all the way to the special food, activities and celebrations we get to enjoy, summer is simply the best season of all in my book. I'll never take a gorgeous blue sky day or perfect 75 degree afternoon for granted! Thanks for listening, and I hope I've convinced you all how amazing summer really is.篇5My Favorite SeasonHi everyone! I'm here today to talk about my favorite season of the year. Can you guess what it is? Yup, it's summer! Summer is the best season ever. There are so many reasons why I love it. Let me tell you all about it.First of all, summer means no school! That's right, we get a huge break from homework, tests, and getting up super early. Instead of having to sit in a classroom all day, we can sleep in late, play outside, and just have fun. No more teachers assigning a bunch of math problems or book reports. Summer is freedom!Another awesome thing about summer is the warm weather. After being bundled up in coats, hats, and gloves all winter, it feels so nice to finally be able to wear shorts and t-shirts again. I love being able to go outside without having to put on a million layers first. The sunny days are perfect for swimming, having water balloon fights, and just running around outside without freezing.Speaking of swimming, the pool and beach are two of my favorite summer spots. I'm a pretty good swimmer and I love splashing around and playing pool games with my friends. When we go to the beach, we bodysurf, build sandcastles, and look for seashells. The beach is so relaxing and peaceful. Listening to the waves and feeling the warm sand between my toes is the best!Summer also means lots of fun activities and trips. Every year my family goes camping in the mountains. We hike, catch fish in the streams, make s'mores over the campfire, and sleep out under the stars. It's such an adventure! There are also tons of fairs, festivals, and carnivals happening with rides, games, yummy food, and live music. I love going to concerts and watching fireworks shows too.Summer also means more freedom and less rules. I don't have a super strict bedtime so I can stay up late. My parents let me watch more TV and play more video games too since I don't have school in the morning. And there's no dress code, so I can wear whatever I want - even my pjs if I feel like it!But you know what I think the best part of summer is? No homework! I have so much more free time to just be a kid and do what I want. I can read comics, play sports, go on adventures, and basically do anything my heart desires without constant assignments and studying weighing me down. Freedom at last! Now don't get me wrong, I do miss my friends and teachers from school sometimes. And there are a few days where it gets so hot that I wish I could go swimming in the Arctic Ocean. But overall, summer is my happy place. Those warm, carefree,no-responsibility months are what I live for.So that's why summer is 100% my favorite season of the year.I wish it could last forever! But I guess that's what makes it so special - it's just a few short months of bliss before school starts up again. Maybe that's why I cherish it so much.Well, thanks for listening to me go on and on about summer.I could probably keep rambling for hours, but I don't want to bore you! I'll leave you with this: if you could make any seasonlast forever, which would you choose? Think about it and let me know. Thanks again and have an awesome day!篇6My Favorite SeasonHi everyone! My name is Jessica and I'm a 4th grader at Oakwood Elementary School. Today I'm going to talk to you all about my favorite season of the year - summer!I absolutely love summer for so many reasons. First of all, the weather is amazing. Those long sunny days with bright blue skies and temperatures in the 70s and 80s are just perfect in my opinion. I really dislike when it gets too hot and humid, but summer has the ideal warm temperatures. It's a huge contrast to the freezing cold winters and drab grey skies we get here. In summer, I can finally go outside without having to bundle up in a million layers!Another thing I love about summer is that school is out! Don't get me wrong, I actually like school and learning new things. But those 2-3 months off of school is such a nice break. I get to sleep in late, hang out with friends, and don't have any homework or tests to worry about. The freedom of summer is amazing. My birthday is in July, which is another reason summer is my favorite time of year. I always look forward to my birthday party and getting together with all my friends and family. We usually have a pool party or bbq in the backyard. My mom makes my favorite funfetti cake and I get lots of fun presents. Birthdays in summer are the best!Speaking of pools, that's another great part of summer - swimming! My family has a pool in our backyard and I basically live in it during those hot summer months. I love swimming underwater and playing pool games like marco polo with my friends. We'll spend entire days in the pool until our fingers get all pruney. Sometimes we have pool parties and grill out by the pool. It's just so refreshing and fun.I also really enjoy the summer activities and events that happen each year. One of my favorite things is going to the town's summer festival and carnival. They have rides, games, food trucks, live music, and fireworks. I go on all the fun rides like the ferris wheel and rollercoasters. The festival is a summer highlight!Another event I look forward to is the 4th of July. My neighborhood does a whole day of celebrations with a parade, bbqs, games, and fireworks at night. I love waving the Americanflag along the parade route and eating hot dogs and watermelon. The fireworks at the end of the night are always incredible! Then there are the summer sports and activities to enjoy. I play softball on a youth league team during the summer which is really fun. We have practices and games twice a week. It's a great way to stay active and work as a team. I've made some good friends through softball too. There are also tons of camps, classes, and other activities for kids in the summer. This year I'm going to a coding camp for a few weeks and taking art classes at the community center. My friends are doing things like soccer camp, dance intensives, and academic camps too. It's a nice way to learn new skills over the break. Finally, one of the best parts of summer is going on family vacations! Each year my family takes a road trip or flight somewhere fun. Two years ago we went to California and saw the beaches, Hollywood, Disneyland, and more. Last year we did a camping road trip stopping at national parks in Utah, Colorado, and Wyoming. This summer we're headed to Florida to do Disney World, Universal Studios, and the beaches! I always have a blast on our summer trips. But summertime is still undoubtedly my favorite season of the year. From the amazing weather to the fun activities and no school, summer is simply the best! I make so many incredible memories each summer that I'll never forget. I cherish those warm sunny days spent swimming, traveling, celebrating holidays, and just being a kid. Summertime is the ultimate holiday for kids! Those are just some of the biggest reasons why I love summer so much. What about you all - is summer your favorite season too? If not, which one do you like best and why? I'd love to hear your thoughts! Thanks for listening to me talk about my favorite time of the year.。
