2、[课程要求]本课程为系列专业基础课,由英译汉和汉译英组成,要求学生按顺序修读。

为达到课程教学的目的,采用讲练结合的方式,布置相当数量的课后作业要求学生按时按量完成,并积极参与课堂讨论。

三、教学内容与教学安排1、[教学内容要点]本课程教学以实践为主,理论为辅,重点是翻译技巧的介绍与练笔,翻译内容涉及各类文体、各个领域。

课程安排按照讲练结合的原则展开,帮助学生有步骤有针对性地训练翻译的基本技能。

通过大量的练习和讲评,强化学生对不同文本语体特点和翻译原则的认识,为其将来从事翻译工作或运用英语作为工作语言打下坚实的双语转换实践基础。

2、[教学安排]本课程教学依据教学大纲,安排在本科三年级上、下两学期进行,共计68学时,其中36学时为英译汉,32学时为汉译英,每周2学时。

教学计划允许授课教师在具体操作中有一定的灵活度,但至少应包含以下3部分的主题内容:1)翻译概述(含翻译的标准、原则、过程、中外翻译简史及翻译名家的主要观点等);2)翻译技巧讲练(介绍主要的英汉互译技巧,结合学生的练笔进行讲评);3)多视角的翻译实践与研究(不同领域的翻译实践及其操作原则与技巧,如外来词翻译、报刊标题及新闻翻译、旅游翻译、科技翻译、广告翻译、文化与翻译等;在实践的基础上开始涉猎翻译的前沿理论,提高学生对翻译的理性认识,目的在于训练其解决问题的探索能力,为其将来从事翻译实践或理论研究开辟一个窗口)。

另外,为了控制复杂系统,有效处理复杂计算的问题也是研究 的领域之一;传统控制中其还在研究者关心之外,而当尝试控 制复杂系统时,很明显它已经是一个中心的问题。 此时正适合给智能控制中的智能一词作概要的说明。我 们注意到“智能”的精确定义已经不为人类所知数千年了。最 近这个问题以引起多个学科的注意,如心理学、哲学和生物学, 当然还有人工智能(AI);注意AI被定义为使用计算模型实现 智能的研究。对于什么构成了智能还没有一致的意见。关于广 泛使用的智商测验的讨论表明我还远未理解这个问题。在这个 报告中我们也未尝试给智能下一个全面的定义。取而代之,我 们介绍和讨论了几种在前面提及的解决复杂系统控制时表现出 可用性的智能系统的特点。 现在罗列了关于“智能控制”的一些内容。智能控制器 设想模仿人类智力,如自适应和自学习、在巨大不确定性条件 下的自计划和处理大量的数据等等,以便能有效的控制复杂过 程;

(二)汉语流水句的翻译 流水句是一种无关联词的复句,其特点是“在非终句段出现句
终语调,语义联系比较松散,句段之间难以补上关联词”(《中译 英技巧文集》第282页)。这些句子有的着重动词,即多个动词连用, 有的着重名词,即以名词为重点。例如: 紫鹃答应着,忙出来换了一个痰盆儿,将手里的这个盆儿放在 桌子上,开了套间门出来,仍旧带上门,放下撒花软帘,出来叫醒 雪雁。(《红楼梦》) 这是比较典型的流水句,事情逐一交代,层层铺开,如何英译 呢?请比较下述两种译文: 译文I:Zijuan was answering and hurried out。to change a spittoon and put the spittoon in her hand on the table and opened the door of inner room to go out,still closed it,let down the flowered portiere and went to wake Xueyan. 译文Ⅱ:Zijuan,assenting,hurried out to fetch a clean spittoon,placing the used one on the table in the outer room.Having closed the door behind her,she let down the soft flower portiere before going to wake Xueyan.(摘自杨自 俭“小议汉语几类句子的英译”)

英语专业中英文课程描述英语专业中英文课程描述一、英语专业技能课程(1)基础英语:基础英语是一门综合英语技能课,其主要目的在于培养和提高学生综合运用英语的能力。

本课程主要通过语言基础训练与篇章讲解分析,使学生逐步提高语篇阅读理解能力,了解英语各种文体的表达方式和特点,扩大词汇量和熟悉英语常用句型,具备基本的口头与笔头表达能力。

教师应鼓励学生积极参与课堂的各种语言交际活动以获得基本的交际技能,并达到新《大纲》所规定的听、说、读、写、译等技能的要求。

(2)高级英语:高级英语是一门训练学生综合英语技能尤其是阅读理解、语法修辞与写作能力的课程。

课程通过阅读和分析内容广泛的材料,包括涉及政治、经济、社会、语言、文学、教育、哲学等方面的名家作品,扩大学生知识面,加深学生对社会和人生的理解,培养学生对名篇的分析和欣赏能力、逻辑思维与独立思考的能力,巩固和提高学生英语语言技能。

每课都应配有大量的相关练习,包括阅读理解、词汇研究、文体分析、中英互译和写作练习等,使学生的英语水平在质量上有较大的提高。

(3)英语拼音:英语语音课的目的是向学生系统介绍英语语音和语调的知识,使学生通过学习和练习掌握英语的发音、语流的规律、语调的功能,基本上能正确使用英语语音、语调朗读、表达思想并进行交际。

本课程要求以学生练习为主、从听辨音、调能力的培养入手,将听力、发音与口头表达三方面的训练紧密结合起来,既强调基本功的训练,又注意活用练习。

教学内容要求突出以下几方面:(a)英语音素的正确发音方法、辨音能力、模仿能力综合训练;(b)英语的单词重音及语句重音的基本规律、表现形式、表意功能的讲授与训练;(c)英语语流的节奏规律、基本特征、基本要素、强/弱读式的训练;(d)英语所特有的语音、语调的结构、功能及其在交际中的运用。

(4)英语听说:英语听说是英语听力和英语口语相结合的课程,也可根据需要分别开设听语课和口力课。

在听力理解方面通过多种形式的训练,帮助学生初步克服听力障碍,听懂英语国家人士在一般社交场合的交谈和相当于中等难度的听力材料,能理解大意、抓住主要论点或情节,能根据所听材料进行分析、领会说话人的态度、感情和真实意图,并用英语简要地做笔记。
