Step1: Greeting.

T: Are you ready?

S: Yes.

T: Class begins.

Step2: Teaching activities

Activity One: Pre-reading

Listen and guess:

(1) I often go to bed in the daytime, and work at night. I like eating fish and catching mice. Who am I? （学生猜cat）

(2) I am small and grey. Usually I work in the evening. I like rice. I’m afraid of cats. Who am I? （学生猜mouse）

Activity two: While- reading

Look at the two mice. Do you know them? (贴两只老鼠的图片）This class let’s read the interesting story.(贴题目) Country Mouse and Town Mouse. Here are some pictures about them .Can you put them in the correct orders? Now let’s listen and guess. What happened?

Skim Paragraph2-4 and find out the answers

a. Did Town Mouse like living in the country? Why?

b. Let’s play a game. If Town Mouse ate the food , you should say ‘Bingo’. Or you should say ‘bomb’.

c. Was its food good or bad?

d. How about the house of Country Mouse?

e. Country Mouse was so poor. So Town Mouse gave it some advice. Scan

Passage4 and find the advice.

f. Now, work in pairs, read the dialogues between Country Mouse and City Mouse with the emotion of dislike.

Read Paragraph 5-8

Country Mouse’s food was not good, and the house was not good. So it decided to go to Town Mouse’s house.

Listen and answer:

a. How was Town Mouse’s food and house? Let’s listen.

b. Did Country Mouse like the life in the town? Why?
