在设计这节课时,教师大胆地将这一课时内容呈现改编,补充了一下学习资源,删除了教材中的Speaking and writing的内容,而将听、写的活动融入到阅读过程中,使之更加适合学生实际,符合学生实际。
阅读材料Sightseeing in London主要介绍英国伦敦的八个名胜古迹,本节课在提高学生的阅读理解能力的基础上,增强他们的文化意识,培养跨文化交际理解能力。
二、学情分析通过本单元第一课时学生通过阅读说明文Puzzles in Geography,了解到英国历史演变的过程、英国国土面积、英国区域划分、受外来侵略的文化影响、罗马人留下的城镇和道路、盎格鲁-撒克逊人留下了语言和政体斯堪的纳维亚人留下的词汇和北部地名、诺曼人留下的城堡和食物名称,特别是英国伦敦是英国历史珍宝的汇集地,有众多的博物馆、艺术收藏馆、剧院、公园和古代建筑物,这为本课学习奠定了基础。

三.学情分析1. 学生对“英国”的地理,历史,文化了解较少,学生对文章涉及词汇比较陌生,看到这个题目,文章的篇幅,产生惧怕心理。
教师先要先通过 Warming up, Pre-reading 唤起学生的阅读兴趣,教学设计要由浅入深,消除学生对本文的恐惧感,引导学生参与到教学活动中,在参与中学会学习。
2. 针对本班学生英语基础较弱,不敢主动用英语表达自己这一现状,教师采用视,听,说,读的教学方法,提供图片,地图,帮助学生从感性认识逐渐上升到理性认识,培养学生运用英语进行思维、表达的能力。

其主要话题是“英国”:全称大不列颠及北爱尔兰联合王国(后简称联合王国),讲述了联合王国的历史,地理位置,国家的构成,名胜古迹及文化的重要性。
puzzles in geography 从地理、历史、政治、文化等多角度说明了联合王国的形成和发展,以及它的风土人情和人文景观。
使学生对联合王国有了一个比较详实的了解。
三.设计思想:鉴于学生对联合王国的国情及文化背景知识有一定的了解,但了解得不透,因此需要设置一些符合学生实际的话题调动学生的学习积极性,多媒体就是很好的教学资源,而且直观性强,在前一天发放导学案让学生提前预习。
我采用多媒体课件形式和导学案相结合,在课前播放一些著名的与联合王国有关的图片就和介绍联合王国的视频导入新课,之后设计一个小测试检验学生对联合王国的了解程度,,并掌握一定的信息后,学生对文章进行讲解,老师点评。
并播放视频让学生尽可能多获取更多的联合王国的相关信息,由浅入深地对分析全文。

本课时是本单元的阅读课时,通过一些小测试任务,让学生从地理、历史、政治、文化等多角度了解英国的形成、发展以及它的风土人情和人文景观,使学生对英国有一个比较详实的认识。
根据自己对教材的理解,围绕文章主题设计了导入、快速阅读、细读、讨论、总结等五个环节。
我在课件的制作上注重实用生动的图片,导入部分也从生活实际出发,通过导入活生生的图片拉近复习内容与学生的距离。
在上课的过程中学生一直有较强的兴趣,能积极主动参与课堂的各个环节,轻松地完成了课堂教学任务。
课中始终利用“任务驱动”,让学生们始终带着任务去独立思考或小组合作,注重新信息的
传授,并在讲解过程中引导学生掌握语言知识;学生在教师的启发引导下,抓住所学内容
进行探讨复习。
同时,在本堂课中我能较好地运用现代教育信息技术与高中英语课堂教学相结合,比较合理地使用多媒体课件,扩大了教学容量,提高了课堂教学效率,有效地完成了本课的教学目标。
本堂课中通过小组互动,学生的合作意识加强了,主体精神得到了培养和锻炼,学生由“被动”地学转变为“主动”地学,形成了积极的学习态度,促进了学生语言实际运用能力,同时使学生层层深入地去理解文章内容,提高学生的阅读能力,掌握一定的阅读技巧和策略,扩大学生的词汇量,提高学生的口头表达能力。
但本节课的教学中也存在着一些不足,需要注意并改进的地方:
1,当堂达标的习题设计形式较为单调,可以再增加一些小花样吸引学生参与对课文的回顾复习。
2.在本堂课中还要注意增加和学生的互动,实现师生、生生、生境等多种互动形式,实现情感与思维互动,多鼓励学生,让学生展示自我,激励发展。
3.由于学生存在差异性,在合作探究环节,有些学生表现得不是很积极,主要是阅读速度跟不上。
通过此节课我学习到了在新的教学理念下的对教师的新的要求。
1.上好一堂课,老师首先要对教材有深入的理解,把教材吃透,并用学生容易理解的方式呈现出来,同时,要突出自己的特色和风格
2.老师对学生的评价要准确,有效并多样化,要及时,这样才能激励学生。
3.师生互动要频繁持久,上课节奏要有慢有快,语音语调要抑扬顿挫。
老师自身一定要充满激情与活力,才能时刻感染学生,让学生保持一种新鲜感
4.在以后的教学中要扩大学生的阅读量,提高学生的阅读速度,使不同程度的学生都能有所收获,感受到英语学习的乐趣。
