Good afternoon professors,my name is XX. I am going to graduate from XX University.

Over the past few years, I have learnt some basic knowledge of my major. For example, from the courses of Urban Planning Principles and Urban Design, I got to know the method of master planning and detailed planning. When I learnt more about this field, I became more interested in it. And in order to facilitate further academic research, I keep on improving my English skills. I have passed College English Test Band 6with ease.

I am a determined person, always willing to achieve higher goals. And I am good at analysis, with a strong sense of cooperation, I took part in many competitions and got good grades.

Personally, I am very easy-going, I am the class commissary in charge of studies, the process let me learn to build a sense of responsibility and it improved my organizing ability. In my spare time, I like reading. Apart from the textbooks, I borrowed many relevant ones from our library to read, such as Garden Cities of Tomorrow, Urban Economics, Urban Geography.

I really enjoyed my journey when reading and absorbing the information from these fascinating works. In addition to reading books, I also like browsing through some journals in this field on a daily basis so that I can keep an eye on the latest news and findings in my area.

My passion in urban planning and design is the reason why I would like to pursue my further study in this field. Owing to my diligence and persistence, I could concentrate on my study and I believe that I could eventually succeed.
