Text A 8 Study Tips
Starter
Ask SS TO Glance through Text A very quickly to detect the 8 study tips. Write the tips in the left column and their own study tips in the right column of the following table. Write as many tips of their own as they can think of. If they agree with the writer, put a“√”in the right column next to the writer’s tip. Then work with a partner and exchange study tips.
e.g. May I join in your conversation?我可以加入你们的谈话吗?
take sth. away(from / out of) sth.: remove one number, amount, etc. (from) another to reduce the total减去,减少,剥夺,拿走
I’ve got time for one final question.我有时间回答最后一个问题。
mark off: make a mark on a list to show that (sth.) has been done记下(某事)已做;标出
