In my cellar I glue a lot of wood together. I've tried the catalyst powder glue that you mix with water. I've tried the two-part epoxies, white casein-based glue, contact cement, hydro glue and the new super-glues . Glue and I were simply not meant for each other. If I clamp for mortise legs into a tenoned frame and let the glue set, I find one leg is an inch shorter than the other three because the clamps were too tight in one direction. The glue has dripped down the legs and, all in all, I've made a mess of my project. Our Defence Department would be in sorry shape if I was gluing together planes for the Air Force in my basement.
