7月24日，阿尔及利亚航空5017号班机从非洲布吉纳法索首都瓦加杜古起飞50分钟後失联，随後确定坠毁於尼日首都尼亚美， 这架飞机原定从瓦加杜古飞往阿尔及利亚首都阿尔及尔。机上110名乘客和6名机组成员悉数罹难。


8月10日，塞伯汉航空5915号班机从伊朗德黑兰起飞後不久坠毁，出事的内陆机当地星期日，原定飞往伊朗东部城市塔巴斯， 但由德黑兰西部的机场起飞不久，坠落一个住宅区，机上有48人，包括7名孩童，39死9伤。初步怀疑是因引擎故障。

8月13日，一架Cessna 560XL商务飞机在巴西圣保罗州的桑托斯波盖朗住宅区中坠毁，当时天候极为恶劣。飞机搭载著巴西 社会党总统候选人甘伯斯、5名乘客以及2名机组人员，已确定机上人员全数罹难。 12月28日，一架载有162人、机型为A320-216型的亚洲航空8501号班机在由印度尼西亚泗水朱安达国际机场飞往新加坡樟宜 机场的过程中与地面失去联系，其後发现坠毁於爪哇海 ，162人死亡。 12月29日，维珍航空VS43班机起落架异常事故，载有462人的波音747-400客机，自伦敦盖特威机场起飞後不久，机长就发 现起落架异常，决定返航。之後近4小时，数度被要求采「防撞击姿势」的乘客担心受怕，不少人吓哭。所幸飞机在1组起 落架故障情况下仍完美降落。 2015年2月4日，复兴航空GE235班机，复兴航空一架ATR72，编号B-22816，台北飞往金门的班机，上午从松山机场起飞两 分多钟後，双发动机失效，导致断油失速後撞到高架桥，迫降坠毁於基隆河，43死15伤[22]。这班复兴航空台北飞金门的班 机里共有58人，其中22名台籍旅客中，11人受伤，11人死亡；31名陆籍旅客中，3人受伤，28人死亡；5名机组员中，1人受 伤，4人死亡；另有地面受伤者2人。 3月4日，土耳其航空726号班机，一架载有238人的空中巴士A330-300客机，在执飞伊斯坦堡到加德满都的航班时，在加德 满都特里布万国际机场滑出跑道,无人受重伤，但客机受损严重，已被拖离机场。 3月24日，德国之翼航空9525号班机空难，一架载有150人的空中巴士A320-200客机，起飞後一小时失联，本班机原定从巴 塞隆纳飞往杜塞道夫。目前已确定坠毁在法国南部阿尔卑斯山的一座偏僻小村庄附近，机上人员全数罹难。法国检察部门经 调查後，发现空难并非意外，而是28岁德国藉副机师卢比茨趁机长离开驾驶舱时控制客机自杀式撞山，令自己及其他人死 亡。

2014年7月17日，马来西亚航空公司MH17航班在乌克兰上空失联，机型波音777-200，乘客283人，机组15人，由阿姆斯特 丹飞往吉隆坡，被飞弹击落，机上283名乘客和15名机组成员悉数罹难。 7月23日，复兴航空公司GE222航班，在澎湖机场附近失事，机型ATR 72-500，乘客54人，机组4人，由高雄飞往澎湖马公， 疑似因为台风影响，天候不佳，重飞失败，坠毁在马公机场附近的湖西乡西溪村62号空地，造成47人死亡11人受伤。另外 波及到附近11栋民宅造成火警，造成5人轻伤，目前两具黑盒子皆已寻获。事件发生後，各界虽研判为天候所影响，但空难 事发原因仍有待进一步调查与确认。
