How do you make a banana shake milk ? Background information:

Material: PEP —Junior English, Grade 8, Book A

Students: Junior high school students, Grade 8

Lesson duration: 45 minutes

Teaching objectives: By the end of the lesson, students should be able to

1.master key sentence structures “How do you make...?

First...Then...Next...Finally... ”, “How many/How much ... do we need? We need ...”and know more about the differences between countable nouns and uncountable nouns.

Teaching contents:

1.Some main sentence structures “How do you make...?

First...Then...Next...Finally... ”, “How many/How much ... do we need? We need ...”

2.Countable nouns and uncountable nouns.

Teaching aids:PPT, tapes, audio-video, chalks, blackboard...

Teaching procedures:

Step 1. Ask some students to show how do they make a banana milk for their parents in front of the class.

Step 2. Review the knowledge what they have learned on the last class.

Step 3. Teach the differences between countable nouns and uncountable nouns. Step 4. Do some items about countable nouns and uncountable nouns

Step 5. Pairwork: Finish 3b and role-play it.

Step 6. Finish 3c and role-play it.

Step 7. Homework:

Ask students to write an e-mail about the process of what you have talked in 3c,and send it to me.
