A A new school newspaper

Soon after the term started, some Grade Eight students at Mayfield School wanted to publish a newspaper.

They held a meeting.

Later, Ben wrote this report about their meeting for the head teacher.

We held a meeting after School.

Lucy, Tony, Joyce, Jessica and I were at the meeting.

First, we decided to elect the chief editor.

Tony suggested Joyce.

I started taking notes.

Joyce said, "Lucy, Tony and Jessica, you will be editors of the paper.

Then we made a list of some other things to discuss.

For example, how often should we publish the paper?

We considered the last question quickly.

Lucy said, "We ought to call it Mayfield Sun."

"What about the Mayfield Mirror or the Mayfield Star?" Jessica said.

Because we all had differ

ent ideas, Joyce said, "We should think about this a bit longer.

We agreed to conclude the meeting then.
