My favorite TV progam is "The World Today", which is shown on Saturday evenings.

This program is like a wonderful window, through which I can see the beautiful and exciting world. It provides me with the latest development in affairs of the world. It also gives me a vivid picture of what have been going on and what have happened in the world. From the Gulf War to the civil war in Yugoslavia, from the peace talks in the Middle East to the military maneuvers in America, you nearly can be an expert in international affairs with the information offered in this prograin.

I like this program not only because of its abundant and latest news, but also its analysis of our present world and prospects for the future. From it, I learn more about mankind itself. It gives me intelligence.

My Favorite TV Program

My favorite TV program is "Animal World". We can watch the program every Sunday evening. The program tells us the story of animal life. We can learn the animals' habits and their natural surroundings.

In the Shanghai Zoo, there are also many animals. But in the program we can see more animals. It gives me a chance to learn about the other creatures. Animals are our friends. It is wrong to kill them for food. We must do our best to protect them. I hope I can do something for the wild animals.

We are going to visit the Science Museum tomorrow.We will meet at the school gate at eight in the morning and we will go there on foot.Take your pens and notebooks with you.We should listen and watch carefully and write down something interesting when you visit the museum,please don’t make any noise in the museum,and don’t take any pictures.You’ll have to hand in a report about the visit next Monday.

★Honesty is the best policy（诚实乃上策）There is an English proverb saying "Honesty is the best policy." It tells us the importance of honesty. What are the benefits of honesty? If you are honest to others, they will be honest to you in return. When you are sad, they will comfort you. When you are in trouble, they will help you.It is usually better to be honest than dishonest. Sometimes honesty may get you in trouble or hurt someone, but on the whole telling the truth is less harmful than lying.In a word, honesty not only brings us honor and friendship, but also material gains. Honesty is the best policy we can take.

Doing exercise is good for our health.For example,play basketball,play badminton...

Lots of lessons always make us tired,so if we do some exercise,we can have a rest.Then,we'll study better.Also,it will make our more healthy.If we are ill,and then we can't study any more.If we do it,we can be strong,so we won't be ill in the hospital.

All over the world millions of people take part in different kinds of sports. Sports are perhaps the most popular form of relaxation that almost all can enjoy.

Some people seem to think that sports and games are unimportant things that people do at times when they are not working. But in fact sports and games can be of great value, especially to people who work with their brains most of the day. They should not be treated only as ammusements.

Sports and games build our bodies, prevent us from getting too fat, and keep us healthy. They also give us valuable practice in helping the eyes, brain and muscles to work together. In table tennis, the eyes see the ball coming, judge its speed and direction, and pass the information on to the brain. The brain has to decide what to do and sends its orders to the muscles of the arms legs and so on, so that the bah is met and hit back where the player wants it to do. All this must happen with very great speed, and only those who have had a lot of practice can do this successfully.

Sports and games are also very useful for character-training. In their lessons, boys and girls may learn about such virrues as unselfishness courage disciple and love of one's country, but what is learned in books can not have the same deep effect on a child's character as what is learned through practice. Most of students' time is spent in classes, studying lessons. So what the students do in their spare time is of great importance. If each of them learns to go all out for his team and not for himself on the sports field, he will later find it natural to work for the good of society, for the good of his country
