Set aboard the luxurious Virginian, bound for an unknown destiny, the film weaves a mesmerizing tapestry of solitude, longing, and the irresistible allure of the sea.Through the eyes of Max, a bugle player newly arrivedon the ship, we are introduced to the enigma that is 1900,a virtuoso pianist born and raised upon the vessel. With nimble fingers dancing across the ivory keys, he conjures melodies that resonate with an ethereal grace, captivating all who hear them. Yet, despite his extraordinary talent, 1900 harbors a profound secret: an unyielding fear of disembarking the ship that has been his sanctuary and his prison. As the Virginian sails across the vast Atlantic, 1900's music becomes a beacon of hope and solace amidst the monotonous rhythm of seafaring life. 海上钢琴师英语观后感200字As an audience member, I recently had the pleasure of watching the film "The Legend of 1900," or in Chinese, "海上钢琴师." This visually stunning and emotionally poignant film tells the story of a baby who is abandoned on a ship and is raised by the crewmembers of the ship. The child is named "1900" after the year in which he was born and grows up to be a musical prodigy, despite never having set foot on land. The film follows 1900's extraordinary journey as he becomes the ship's pianist, captivating audiences with his incredible talent and virtuosic playing. His life takes a dramatic turn when he meets a jazz musician named Jelly Roll Morton and is challenged to confront his fears of the outside world. One of the most captivating elements of the film was its use of cinematic language. The use of symbolism and metaphor throughout the film added depth and beauty to the story. For example, the scene where 1900 plays the piano on the deck of the ship in the midst of a raging storm was powerfully symbolic, representing the turbulent and unpredictable nature of life. The film's score, composed by Ennio Morricone, was truly something special. The music complemented the story so perfectly, drawing out the emotions of each moment and adding tension where needed.Overall, I was deeply moved by "The Legend of 1900." The film explores themes of isolation, fear, and the beauty and pain of living life to the fullest. It's a timeless story that speaks to the human experience in a profound way.One of the most memorable lines from the film comes from Jelly Roll Morton, who says "There are no boundaries, only new horizons." This quote resonated with me deeply and reminded me of the importance of constantly challenging myself and venturing out of my comfort zone.In conclusion, "The Legend of 1900" is a beautiful and thought-provoking film that I highly recommend to anyone who appreciates great storytelling, beautiful music, and stunning visuals. It's a film that will stay with you long after the credits roll and leave you reflecting on the beauty and mystery of life.。

海上钢琴师电影观后感英语150Reflections on "The Legend of 1900""The Legend of 1900" is a poignant tale of a man who lived his entire life on a passenger ship, never setting foot on land. Through this unique character, the film explores themes of isolation, creativity, and the pursuit of happiness. The protagonist, 1900, was discovered as a baby abandoned on the ship and was raised by the crew, never learning about the world beyond the sea. His existence was a mystery to most, but his talent for playing the piano was soon discovered, attracting the admiration of many. His music was a reflection of his life, filled with both melancholy and joy, reflecting the ups and downs of his journey. What struck me most about the film was the profound sense of isolation that 1900 experienced. Despite beingsurrounded by people, he felt alone, as if he belonged to no place. This feeling of belongingness is something that many of us can relate to, especially in today's world where we are constantly connected but still feel disconnected.1900's refusal to leave the ship despite having the opportunity to explore the world outside was a powerful testament to his fear of the unknown. This fear is universal, and the film beautifully captured how it can hold us back from pursuing our dreams and goals. However, it was also a testament to the power of creativity and the comfort of familiarity. 1900 found his purpose and happiness within the confines of the ship, creating music that moved people's hearts and finding solace in his art.The film also explored the idea of destiny and choice. Was 1900 destined to live his entire life on the ship, or did he choose to stay because it was where he felt most comfortable? The answer, perhaps, lies somewhere in the middle. We all have choices in life, but our decisions are often influenced by our past experiences, our fears, and our comfort zones."The Legend of 1900" is not just a film about a man who lived his life on a ship; it's a film about the choices we make, the fears we face, and the happiness we seek. It's a reminder that happiness can be found in unexpected places, and that sometimes, the bravest choice we can make is to stay put and embrace what we have, rather than chase after what we think we want.In conclusion, "The Legend of 1900" is a beautiful and poignant film that left me with a lot to think about. It's a film that encourages us to question our choices, to embrace our fears, and to find happiness in the places we least expect. It's a film that will stay with me for a long time, reminding me to appreciate the present and to cherish the moments that make life worth living.。

The Legend of 1900 海上钢琴师英文观后感

"The Legend of 1900" is unique in many ways, the first being that it is an Italian film with English-speaking characters. Tim Roth who has been cast as a villian most of his career does a remarkable job as the adult '1900', the simple man, a gifted piano player, who had a his own particular take on life. The story begins as a ship worker is crawling around the ballroom floor, looking for valuables lost by the wealthy guests, but instead finds a baby. It is the New Year 1900, thus the baby's name. He is raised in the bowels of the ship until at about age 8 or 10 he is noticed playing the piano. He eventually becomes the ship's piano player, and his reputation spreads until Jelly Roll Morton takes a voyage and challenges '1900.' In the end, he lit his cigarette on the hot piano strings! Some spoilers - The film actually starts in more modern times as the trumpet player friend of 1900's is selling his horn and telling the 'Legend of 1900' after the shopkeeper shows him a patched-together record of the piano composition that was lost years earlier, parts hidden in the piano. He tells the story in a series of flashbacks, and at the end finds out the old ship has been stripped of all valuables and is to be sunk the next day by dynamite. But he just knows '1900' must still be aboard the ship, because he knew he never could leave. So he borrows the record and a player and goes to every different part of the dilapidated ship, playing the song, hoping to lure out '1900'. Earlier in the film '1900' said, "My music will never go anywhere without me" and that is why the master disk never left the ship until the piano, with the broken recods hidden in it, ended up in the shop also.More spoilers - '1900' almost left the ship once, he was going to visit NYC and a pretty girl he met, was half-way down the gangplank, suitcase in hand, well-wishers waving goodby, he paused a long time, threw his hat into the water, and went back on the ship. Only years later, as he and his friend spoke in the bowels of the old ship did he explain, "I looked at the city and could not see an 'end.' A piano has 88 keys, you know where it starts and where it ends. But the city alone has hundreds of miles ofstreets, how do you know which one to take, which girl to love, which house to buy? I could not see an 'end' so I had to stay on the ship." And he did, he had become so accustomed to the small, contained world of the ship that he could not cope with the greater world. Even though it is a movie, one second we are seeing '1900' with a smile, musing about heaven, and the next moment a horrific blast. It is hard to not get jolted by the image. At 120 minutes this film requires some patience, and the desire to see good character studies over non-stop action. It is impossible to describe in words how good Tim Roth is in this role. We always knew he could play the bad guy, this film crystallizes his overall talent as one of the best in the business. A remarkable story, a legend, with a remarkable character. This is a beautiful, poetic film, with an enthralling story, beautiful cinematography, and lovely score.A superb film!。

The Legend of 1900The story about a man named 1900 who born in the ship, grew up in the ship, died in the boat, he was just born for the piano. His life is short, but it is also pathos1900 for this ship love; the ship also gave him all of life value and emotion. To 1900, an orphan, his whole world is this ship; here is his home, all of his happiness, sorrow and dream. So he has the deepest emotional for this ship, beyond all the people. So even the last moment, he still won't choose to leave. In the last paragraph, there is a monologue of the hero; he said “all that city. You just couldn't see the end of it. the piano keyboard is limited, he can use the limited keyboard playing the infinite music, and he can manage this "limited", But this world, No beginning, no end, intricate streets, many tall buildings, there are too many options, he can’t control his life, his emotion, his music. He can only choose what he can choose. If he cannot control his lifestyle, he'd rather not to choose! His heart is lonely; music is just like his language. He said his music and his people won't separate, so he refused to publish his music. Maybe some people think it’s a tragedy. I don’t think so, because we can’t imagine this genius leave the ship and begin his ordinary life, become tasteless and go after fame and money. We can't bear to see here. In real life, we may puzzled with others’ choices, But I want to say, no matter who make a choice which is absurd, this is his own choice. He must have his own reasons, you are not h im or her, and you didn’t experience what he had experienced, so you don’t understand his thoughts. It’s not the time to declare our incomprehension, we just need to hold his hands and say “good luck” to him or her with smile.。

海上钢琴师观后感英语" The Legend of 1900 " is a film that has left an indelible mark on my heart It's a story that is as profound as the ocean it takes place on, and as mysterious as the protagonist himselfThe movie tells the tale of a man named 1900 who was born on a ship and spent his entire life there He never set foot on land, and his world was confined to the decks and cabins of the vessel This might sound like a limiting existence to some, but for 1900, it was a universe filled with music and endless possibilitiesOne of the most striking aspects of the film is the character of 1900、He is a genius pianist, but not in the conventional sense His music is not just a performance; it's an expression of his soul Every note he plays seems to come from a place deep within him, a place untouched by the mundane and the ordinary His ability to create such beautiful and moving music without any formal training is nothing short of astonishingThe relationship between 1900 and the ship is also something that fascinates me The ship is not just a mode of transportation for him; it's his home, his refuge, and his entire world It represents stability and familiarity in a constantly changing world Even when faced with the temptation of leaving the ship and exploring the vast unknown of the land, he remains steadfast in his decision to stay This shows a remarkable sense of loyalty and a fear of the unknown that many of us can relate to on some levelThe cinematography in the film is breathtaking The scenes of the ship sailing through the rough seas, the sunsets over the ocean, and the cramped quarters where 1900 lives all add to the overall atmosphere of the story The way the camera captures the beauty and the power of the ocean makes one feel as if they are right there on the ship, experiencing everything along with the charactersThe music, of course, is the heart and soul of the movie The compositions are so powerful that they have the ability to transport the viewer into 1900's world Each piece seems to tell a story of its own, and it's impossible not to be moved by the emotions they convey From the lively and energetic tunes played during the parties on the ship to the melancholic melodies when 1900 is lost in his thoughts, the music is an integral part of the narrativeThe theme of the film is complex and multilayered It explores the concepts of identity, belonging, and the fear of the unknown 1900's decision to stay on the ship can be seen as a metaphor for our own fears and insecurities when faced with new and unfamiliar situations It makes us question what it truly means to have a home and a sense of belonging Is it a physical place, or is it something that exists within us?Another aspect that the film brings to light is the idea of simplicity versus complexity 1900's life on the ship is relatively simple, yet it is filled with meaning and purpose In contrast, the land represents a world of endless choices and complications This contrast makes us think about the choices we make in our own lives and whether simplicity and focus might lead to a more fulfilling existenceIn conclusion, " The Legend of 1900 " is not just a movie; it's an emotional journey that makes us question our own beliefs and values It reminds us of the power of music, the beauty of simplicity, and the importance of finding our own place in the world, no matter how unconventional it might be This film has truly touched my heart and will remain with me for a long time to comeIt has made me realize that sometimes, the boundaries we set for ourselves can become our comfort zones, and stepping out of them can be terrifying But at the same time, it's important to have the courage to explore and take risks, because only then can we truly discover who we are and what we are capable ofThe story of 1900 also highlights the importance of following our passions For him, music was his life, and he dedicated himself completely to it This kind of singleminded pursuit of something we love is something that many of us strive for but often find difficult to achieve in a world filled with distractions and expectationsFurthermore, the film makes me appreciate the value of uniqueness 1900 was an unconventional character who chose a path that few would understand or dare to follow Yet, it was his uniqueness that made him memorable and his story worth telling It encourages us to embrace our own quirks and differences, and not be afraid to stand out from the crowdOverall, " The Legend of 1900 " has left me with a lot to think about It has shown me the beauty of a life lived on one's own terms, the power of art to touch our souls, and the complexity of the human spirit It is a film thatI will undoubtedly revisit in the future, as each viewing is sure to bring new insights and emotions。

海上钢琴师英语观后感The Sea Inside: A Reflection on "The Legend of 1900"The Legend of 1900, a film directed by Giuseppe Tornatore, is a journey through the soul of a man who was born, lived, and died on a ship—all for the love of piano. This cinematic masterpiece left me with profound reflections and a profound appreciation for the beauty of simplicity and the power of music. The story follows 1900, an orphan who was discovered and raised by a sailor on a luxurious ocean liner in 1900. As he grew, he developed an exceptional talent for playing the piano, eventually becoming a renowned musician on the ship. However, his entire world was confined to the ship and the ocean that surrounded it. He never set foot on land, preferring to remain in his comfort zone, surrounded by the familiar sounds and sights of the ship. One of the most striking aspects of the film is the relationship between 1900 and the piano. It is not just an instrument for him; it is a part of his identity, a means of expression, and a way to connect with the world. His music is both powerful and emotional, reflecting his inner turmoil and joy. His refusal to leave the ship and embrace the unknown world beyond is a testament to his devotion to his craft and his fear of the unknown. What struck me most about this film is the sense of longing and loss that permeates throughout. 1900's decision to remain on the ship despite the many opportunities that awaited him on land is a poignant reminder of the comfort of familiarity and the fear of the unknown. His life, though brief, was rich and fulfilling in its own way. He found meaning and purpose in his music and in his relationship with the ship and its inhabitants. The cinematography and music in the film are breathtaking. The shots of the ocean and the ship are stunning, and the music complements the emotional journey of the characters perfectly. The film's ending, which leaves us with more questions than answers, is both heartbreaking and poignant. In conclusion, The Legend of 1900 is a film that transcends genres and leaves a lasting impression on its audience. It is a story about love, loss, and the power of music to connect us with our innermost selves. It reminds us that, despite the vastness of the world, there is often a comfort zone that we are reluctant to leave behind. However, it is also a reminder that, while familiarity may be comforting, it is the unknown that holds the potential for growth and discovery.。

"the Legend of 1900" is worthy of a classic film. It showed us the life of a life on board, long on board, died on board, only for piano and Health. His lifetime all of the light scattered in a ship, a short and poignant.Masters (named 1900) may be similar to our homeland a nostalgic love for the ship's dismay, Born and bred native land to give our lives and the lives of all, the ship also give the full value of his life and emotions. Real life, some people may never reluctant to leave his native land, even if that land is barren, desolate, even dangerous, even though the outside world are numerous and colorful, gold and silver everywhere, they never leave their homeland by step. For 1900, an orphan, his whole world is the ship, and here is his home, all his happiness, sadness, Dream passion. It can be said that the feelings of his ship than any one person to have deeper, more burning. Therefore, even if the last minute, he still would not choose to leave. In real life, the choice of others, we will feel incredible, like the film, many people may also not understand this choice, but I want to say, no matter who made what kind of choice, both in It seems to us how absurd, how unwise, how puzzling, this is his choice. Must have his reasons for this choice, his way of thinking, you're not, you do not experience what he experienced, you do not know what he thought, then the only thing we can to make things, not tell us puzzled, but hold his hand, smiled, and say, Good luck!Like the movie, like 1900, like music, like this one blue sea。

海上钢琴师(英语影评)

海上钢琴师(英语影评)

海上钢琴师(英语影评)这个是⽼师的作业在⽹上索罗整理的A Film Review―The Legend of 19001900, an abandoned baby which is taken care by one of the crews in the ship, Virginia. 1900 was the year which the crew discovered the baby, thus, the boy was named 1900. The crew dies several years later and at that time, 1900 is entirely isolated. He is a genius and he knows how to play the piano without being taught. He gets his own style and wins the applause of passengers. However, he isn’t happy at all. What he is searching for is love and care, yet he cannot find them. In this essay, I willexamine how 1900 suffers from loneliness and how he is afraid of changes. The only companion of 1900 is the piano; he gets used to expressing his feeling via music. Yet, can the piano share with him? Can the music be the tonic for his loneliness? The poor guy has no choices; he was born to be lonely. Maybe it’s his fate. 1900 always wants to attract people by his absorbing performance. Though there is, in fact, nearly no conversation between them, they even don’t know one another. He still wants to be surrounded by the crowd. 1900 doesn’t want to be alone; he enjoys the time being accompanied by people. This can explain why he feels so disappointed, frustrated and he stops playing the piano when the crowd leaves as the destination is reached. 1900 has to become solitary again! One of the passengers admires his talents very much and tries to talk to him. The farmer shares with him about his misfortune and loneliness. 1900 knows the feeling better than anybody does as he has been suffering for 27 years! He hasn’t disclosed his feeling to others; he just says that he gets a friend sharing the similar situation. It’s a paradox that on the one hand, he wants to speak out his own feeling, which has buried in his heart for a long time, and shares with people; on the other hand, he can’t pluck up his courage to mention his situation in front of people. Mayb e it is of no use to tell others or 1900 doesn’t want anyone to sympathize him.Loneliness makes him afraid of contacting strangers, lack of confidence and shy while communicating with strangers. When there’re two strangers coming to inform him the co mpetition, he runs away and hides himself. Poor 1900 is afraid of being hurt. With no doubt, loneliness adversely affects his personality. On the shipboard, a young, pure, beautiful girl has caught his attention. He loves the girl and wants to send her a g ift. He doesn’t know how to initiate the conversation. 1900 practices again and again in the cabinet. He is too timid to send the girl his record. His personality makes him miss a chance. 1900 isvery unhappy and breaks the record. Again, he just keeps his mouth shut and never shares with the others. It is obvious that he no longer wants to share, he is too tired to find opportunities to air his feeling.Changes make 1900 scared, he wants his everyday life remains the same. For 27 years, he stays on board and never treads on land. Although his crews always persuade him to get off, he is reluctant to try. Several months after the girl had left, 1900 suddenly wants to tread on land. His reason is that he wants to listen to the voice of the sea as he can only hear it clearly on land. However, it’s true that he wants to find the girl and expresses love to her. 1900 hides his feeling again. Yet, when he is on the halfway of the ladder that leads to the land, he stops. He stands there to look at the city in front of him. 1900 gives up treading on land and returns to the ship.1900 can live safely on the ship as he can see the ends of the ship. Many years later, as the ship is too old and it needs to be exploded to pieces. One of the crew knows that he will be still on the ship. He tries to find him. Before his death, 1900 tells the reasons for not treading on land when he’s walking down the ladder. “ I’m not afraid of what I can see, I’m afraid of what I can’t see”, 1900 is frightened as he can’t see the en d of the city. “ Where is the end of the world?” Moreover, there’re only two thousand passengers on broad at a time. It’s a fixed number and it will not change. It can explain why 1900 prefers staying on board. He takes the piano as an example, “ Ther e are finite keys on the piano”, and he can make “infinite music” out of it. However, the world is a piano that is too big for him. There are infinite keys in the world, how can he make music out of it? It implies that there are so many changes in the worl d; he can hardly face the challenges. “There are thousands of streets in the city…which one should I choose to die?” It shows that 1900 is scared by the ever-changing world and he is too tired to choose. He thinks that he can’t adapt to the changes as “ th e world has passed me (him) by”. In addition, fame, fortune, girl can’t make him tread on land. 1900 chooses to die on the ship rather than getting off. It can be seen that how deeply he is afraid of changes. The marvelous life of 1900 makes him become the legend.Reflection:It's a simple movie, with a simple story and a simple main character - and thats what makes this film so good. It wasn't made to be great and big; it just want to tellthe story of a man who was left behind and raised in the Ocean. He never set foot on land and that's the only thing that makes him special. That and all its consequences. Visually the movie is beautiful and its a proof that special effects have nothing to do with a beautiful image - they are beautiful because you feel it. And it's a story that will make you want to meet the main character in person. The ending is wonderful and it's very well put (so hard to find a good ending these days). Tim Roth is excellent as 1900, but the two biggest actors in this movie are the "ship" and the "ocean". Both seem to have a life of their own. This is not only a movie that is worth to watch, it's a movie everybody should watch - it's the living proof that a moviedoesn't have to be great to be good. In fact, it can be excellent.。

海上钢琴师 The Legend Of 1900 review by efilmcritic

海上钢琴师The Legend Of 1900 review by efilmcritic关键字:英语电影影评During the beginning of "The Legend of 1900," I kept think how much it played like an old fable, and it was none to my surprise that when I looked at the press kit that it clearly states: "A FABLE BY GIUSEPPE TORNATORE THE LEGEND OF 1900." It is to my disappointment that I announce that this is only the second film by Tornatore that I have seen, the first being in my opinion, the best foreign film I've ever seen, "Cinema Paradiso." You'd think that after having seen that film even years ago and having loved it, that it would have motivated me to search out more of his work. With "1900," it at least gives me the reminder of the other possibilities out there. With something to the effect of the name Danny Boodmann T.D. Lemon Nineteen-Hundred, Tim Roth takes it all on, and couldn't have been any better. Born and left of the ship, the Virginia, 1900, as he was later named for having been born in that very year on that very ship, was found by Danny (Bill Nunn), an African-American coal room worker. He took the child on as his own until he met his death several years later by accident. 1900 picked up on playing the piano (the film was once entitled "The Legend of the Pianist in the Ocean") and had the ability to create flowing and haunting melodies at the sweep of his fingers; a true ivory tickler you might say.1900's story is told via flashback and reflection by Max (Pruitt Taylor Vince), a friend of 1900's of whom he spent many years with on the ship, and played the trumpet along side him in the jazz orchestra. At first this notion seems a little contrived, been there done that-ish, but like the music, begins to flourish and flow. There's a lot of narration along the way; one might think the story would have been better told straightforward, as it happened, but either way I'm quite content. Max narrates the story in a kind of noir-ish malaise of the old 40s and 50s films, but you get over it. Or maybe not; I could have lived without it but stuck with it hoping for progression, and I got it.Time and years build up, and 1900 has become a prolific pianist, not to our surprise, but as the current time is at stake we learn too, that our dear old Virginia is about to be blown up with tons of dynamite (sorry kiddies, not any of the homemade dynamite we're so familiar with after a certain "Club" everyone's obsessing about). Pretty much, the rest of the story is just that, Max recounting what it was like to know him, what happened while he knew him, and ideas about why he (1900) never left the ship; not even once.I dunno if being a fable consistutes some of the coincidences such as Max happening to go into the onlymusic/pawn shop to sell his trumpet that has the old pianos 1900 used to play. Or that it happens that Max plays a tune that was created by 1900 that somehow triggers the old shopkeeper's memory to bring out an old matrix record that is the same tune, and happens to be the only recorded version of any of his work. Take it or leave it. It felt like more of a pleasure to enjoy this film than to overly criticize it. Some skeptics may feel that it's too large of a pill to swallow, and won't go for it, but I found it to be entrancing and throughly delightful. The music, all by Ennio Morricone, is beautiful. I loved how scenes would just be time after time of 1900 pounding out notes. It reminded me of "Tango" in the sense that you were watching it more for its dancing and cheorography than its storytelling; "The Legend of 1900" was interesting mostly for its musical capabilities.Fine Line will hopefully give a little extra shove or nudge to push the performance of Tim Roth for Best Actor; I certainly wouldn't mind him along the likes of Richard Farnsworth and Kevin Spacey. He takes a modest take on a role of which is hard not to like. Who doesn't want to champion 1900 along as he out jazzes Jelly Roll Morton (an excellent Clarence Williams III). One of the singly funniest scenes in recent cinema included at show down, and the use of cigarettes. It caught me quite by surprise and kept me snickering until several scenes thereafter.Pruitt Taylor Vince was also very good, starring at you with his astigmatic eyes which so effacaciously graced us in "Heavy." Maybe a little over used as far as certain emphasis goes, his humane presence had a more positive influence on the film. Billed as only The Girl, Melanie Theirry was a beauty to stare at, but I knew from the instance I saw her that she had be a super, or at least a model. (I was right, it was confirmed in her bio in the press kit.) However, I still wish there would have been a little more development between her and 1900.It's hard for me to compare the only other work of Tornatore's that I've seen with this, so it would be easier not to. I have much more of a keen interest to go back and research his earlier films, and look at the juxtaposition of them againist his award winner ("Cinema Paradiso"), all the way up to his most recent, and first film in English. All in all, I think the attitude of watching a "fable" is what will eventually make up your mind and feelings of this. It kind of seemed sweet, even a little touching to go along with it. Tornatore seems to enjoy making films, and I seem to enjoy watching them. The cinematography by Lajos Koltai, and the production design by Francesco Frigeri were added bonuses. As opposed to "Titanic," never once did the ship itself look or appear fake, or filmed against a greenscreen. Although both films may have a corny feel to them (example: Roth and Vince slip and spin around sitting at the piano as the ship rocks), one focuses on the story and the characters --"Legend", while "Titanic" uses it's name to only to underscore the ship itself and involve us with a shameless and silly romance between two very fake characters. One uses its possesions, whilst the other uses its front as a shadow for something else wholly less interesting.。

Review of "The legend of 1900"The story is told as a series of flashbacks. It started by a man's voice, and ended by he and 1900's dialog. The man--Max Tooney,1900's best friend. He is the witness of 1900's legend.Long long ago, about 1900,there is a ship called Virginian. One day,a baby in a box was found abandoned in it,and likely the son of poor immigrants.Danny,a coal-man,is determined to raise the boy up by his own.He names the boy Danny Boodman T.D. Lemon 1900.Because the boy was born in 1900.So,in the later day, people always call Danny Boodman T.D. Lemon 1900 "1900" in brief.1900 shows a particular gift for music and piano. He joins the ship's band as a pianist. But he never leaves the ship.He is full of talent, music is like his arms.Only this can explain his command of music. He can immediately pick one kind of new music up and starts playing it.1900's fame was flying to Jelly Roll Morton's ears.Jelly is the creator of Jazz music,he want to defeat 1900 to promote himself's reputation. So they had a duel in the ship.Finally,1900 wined.A record producer wanted to record 1900's beautiful music. At the beginning,1900 agreed. But when 1900 hears the recording,he offended at the prospect of anyone hearing the music by record. So he destroyed it.The story flashes back to 1940s.Durning these years,1900 has many chance to get out of the ship and get on the land to begin a new life, but he refused.Time goesby, virginian is old. It's the time to destroy it.Max experienced a lot of sufferings to find 1900.He was still in the ship, never come down. They talked a lot.In the last,1900 died with the ship.Above is the introduction of the film.In fact, there are some films that when you have seen it,feelings rush over and over in your mind, but hard to say."The legend of 1900"is like this. One word to describe the feeling after seeing this film,is "loneliness".But is 1900 truly lonely? Many time I think maybe he's not.He has infinity inspiration of music. He has his own flowing note."Loneliness" doesn't belong to him,it was that he makes us feel lonely. No inborn superior talent,no rich inside,so we feel lonely.Nothing can make the whole world recognize and satisfied,so we feel lonely. We see our lowliness and common from 1900,so we feel lonely. As one,we have varieties of names. But out of these, what can prove out existence?1900 doesn't have any files recording his identity, but he has truly lived.I think the whole life of 1900 represent freedom. He chases himself, ignore the rules of the world. The episode I love most is that he say"Land is a ship too big for me.It's a woman too beautiful; It's a voyage too long,a perfume to strong.I d't know how to make."yTake the piano.Keys begin. Keys end.You know there are 88 of them. They’re not infinite. You’re infinite. And on those keys, the music that you can make is infinite. So this is the freedom the film wants to tell us.。

电影海上钢琴师英文影评Talking about a movieMost people like to watch movies. Maybe the plot is deeply moved, or it narrate a monstrous story. As far as am concered, my favorite move is the legend of 1900.This movie tell a man who is so brave that he can play the imagianry piano when exploded with the ship he was born, lived and died in. It is begin in first January 1900, ship crew Danni piked up a baby on the piano inside the hall of the ship and he named the baby 1900. 1900 grew up happily under the care and white lies of Danni. After the accidental death of Danni, 1900 came to the hall by chance and he saw the piano for the first time, then, the legend of 1900 begins.Life is like the paeeengers on the boat, abroad, getting off abroad and getting off again. To 1900, there is nothing more about lfe. Although he lives on the sea, but he has looked through all the honors, gain and fall of life among the men into the land around. At the time of the ship,1900 played hia hands in the air, the beautiful fingers move as the background music knocking on the doors to heaven. 1900’s life was very simple but lack of human beauty. I think he is a real artist-pianist. Only a man like him can dance with the piano in a terrifing storm. Only a man like him can give up the first two bouts of a flight and beat the competitor entirely, convincing and potently in the last bout. Only a man like him can have such a beautiful story to tell. He is also a man never existed, never setfoot on land in his entire life. No ID, no visa, no parents, no birthday. Nothing in the world belongs to him expect his music.1900 is detailed and deep feelings of the man, his spirits anftalent are devoted eighty-eight the piano keys. His spirits inpressed me and I’m very adore him.。

海上钢琴师英文影评原创the legend of 1900

海上钢琴师英文影评原创the legend of 1900

The legend of 1900The society, the human beings, who is stronger? Who is weaker?Like The Shawshank Redemption, the legend of 1900 relates a story using the second perspective. But frankly speaking, the trumpet player is far from satisfactory than Red. That is not to say the play is terrible, it’s just because Morgan Freeman is so great that I almost consider the legend of 1900 as a plagiarized work when I saw it first. But when saw it in second time, the great skill of Tornatore, which is the ability to shape the roles vividly, become obvious. It is better to consider 1900 as a group of people, not a specific individual. Maybe it is a reason why the screenwriter doesn’t give him a name. Some people say 1900 is a reflection of the fate of artists. And their loneliness contributes to their artistic quality.1900, being adopted by a boiler man, is an abandoned infant. Unfortunately, his adoptive father died in an accident when 1900 is eight years old. On one hand, the immense talent makes him as a self-taught piano master. On the other hand, the fate also let him be deeply suspicious about the secular world. Even if meet a young girl he loved at the first sight, thinking over and over, he ultimately give up the impulse to find his first lover. Feeling that his fate is tied to the ship, 1900 cannot bring himself to leave the only home he has known. In the end, the Virginian blows up and sinks, with 1900 still aboard. This is an unreal marvel, a sentimental story, a genius interweaved with the ocean, steamboat, piano, land, loneliness and friendship. As the most European movies, the legend of 1900 also fills with an arm of insinuations. As an abandoned baby in the ship, a piano master in born, 1900 spent his whole life on the ship and never get off, strolling in the deck while other passengers are suffering from the seasickness. He can’t even get off the boat to looking for the woman he loved deeply. But what’s the key to understand these insinuations? There are a thousand Hamlets in a thousand people's eyes. From my own perspective it is the “choice”.The human beings are faced with the choice at all time. Each choice, big or small, decides the direction of our life. 1900 choose to stay in the boat, even all the passengers are sorely tempted to throw him overboard. He said: “Land is a ship too big for me.” He is anxious about the sense of no end, while the key of piano are not infinite, and that lets him relieved. In fact, when compared with the real world, the life of 1900 has somethingunreal. 1900 never contact piano before, but when he play it first, the beautiful music springs from his dexterous hands so naturally. Besides, how a person who never has the formal education can speak in so poetic language? And how he gets the food he needs to survive before Max finds him in that abandoned ship? However, the most controversial spot is the end of the movie: the hero’s conversation with Max. I really don’t agree with the 1900’s explanation why he doesn’t want to go off the ship at the very beginning, thinking he had a negative attitude towards life. But I finally understand the reason. Instead of playing the piano for others or for money, he desires to continue his love for piano in heaven, to play his own music.Just like the 1900, we all have our own world, and desire to live a so-called life in the demarcated safe zone. But can we? I still remember such words: “Take a piano. The keys begin, the keys end. You know there are eighty-eight of them, nobody can tell you any different. They are not infinite. You are infinite. And on these keys the music that you can make is infinite. I like that. That I can live by.” 1900 compresses his life into this side to another, then enlarges into the infinite music he can make on the only 88 keys. Now take the view from piano to the life itself. The freedom of society is infinite, but what a little pleasure can we enjoy from it? Life resembles a huddled adventure, so we are more prone to have a great admiration to these people who concentrate on a specific area always .Sometimes when be tortured by fate, resisting the change can offers us a sense of security. In other words, the human beings are may stronger than society if we can resist the extra temptation from the secular world. T hat’s what the movie want to tell us I think.哈尔滨工业大学航天学院。

海上钢琴师观后感英文" The Legend of 1900: A Profound ReflectionThe movie 'The Legend of 1900' has left an indelible mark on my heart It is a tale that transcends the ordinary and delves deep into the human soul, provoking thoughts and emotions that linger long after the credits rollThe protagonist, 1900, was born on a ship and spent his entire life aboard To him, the ship was not just a means of transportation but his entire world The vast ocean was his playground, and the piano was his voice His existence was a mystery to many, but to those who truly understood him, he was a genius, a rebel, and a soul trapped in his own paradiseThe film beautifully captures the essence of isolation and the fear of the unknown 1900's reluctance to step off the ship and face the land was not a sign of cowardice but a manifestation of his deeprooted connection to the familiar The ship was his safe haven, a place where he knew every nook and cranny, every note of the music that flowed through his fingers The outside world, with its endless possibilities and uncertainties, was a terrifying abyss that he chose to avoidOne of the most poignant moments in the movie was when 1900 contemplated leaving the ship for a woman he had fallen in love with Love, that powerful emotion, momentarily shattered his walls of isolation and made him consider a life beyond the confines of his floating home Yet, in the end, his fear of the unknown prevailed, and he remained on board Thisscene made me reflect on the choices we make in life and the sacrifices we are willing to make for the sake of our comfort zonesThe music in the film was nothing short of magical It was not just background score but a character in itself Each note played by 1900 seemed to tell a story, expressing emotions that words could not convey The way he would lose himself in the music, his fingers dancing effortlessly on the keys, was a sight to behold It was as if the piano was an extension of his being, and through it, he could communicate with the world in a language that was uniquely hisThe relationship between 1900 and the other characters on the ship was also touching There was a sense of camaraderie, a shared understanding among those who lived in this microcosm of the world They were all part of a community that was both transient and permanent, united by the journey and the experiences they sharedAs I watched the movie, I couldn't help but question the meaning of home and belonging For 1900, home was a constantly moving vessel, a place that was always in flux yet remained constant in his heart For most of us, home is a fixed location, a place with roots and memories But perhaps home is not just a physical place but a state of mind, a feeling of security and familiarity that we carry within us wherever we goThe story also made me think about the pursuit of dreams and the price we are willing to pay for them 1900 had the talent to become a worldrenowned pianist, but he chose to confine his genius to the confines of the ship Was he wasting his potential, or was he simply following his heart and doing what made him truly happy? This made me reflect on my owndreams and the compromises I have made in the name of practicality and societal expectationsIn conclusion, 'The Legend of 1900' is not just a movie; it is a philosophical journey that forces us to confront our fears, question our choices, and redefine our notions of home, love, and success It is a reminder that sometimes, the most extraordinary lives are lived in the most unexpected places, and that the true measure of a life welllived is not in the achievements or possessions but in the depth of the experiences and the authenticity of the emotions This movie will continue to resonate with me for a long time, inspiring me to look beyond the surface and search for the true meaning of life within the chaos and beauty of the world around us"。

海上钢琴师的英文观后感

海上钢琴师的英文观后感Reflections on "The Legend of 1900""The Legend of 1900," a heartfelt and profound film directed by Giuseppe Tornatore, tells the story of a musician named 1900 who spends his entire life on a cruise ship, never setting foot on land. This film, set against the backdrop of the vast and ever-changing sea, explores themes of freedom, loneliness, and the pursuit of one's dreams. The film opens with a captivating sequence where a young boy is discovered abandoned on a piano by a crewmember. This boy, later named 1900, grows up on the ship, learning to play the piano with remarkable talent. His life, confined to the ship and its passengers, becomes a canvas for his musical expressions, as he transforms the piano into a medium for storytelling and emotional connection. One of the most striking aspects of the film is 1900's relationship with the piano and music. His talent is not just a skill; it's a way of life. His music is a reflection of his emotions and experiences, a language that transcends the boundaries of language and culture. His performances are not just concerts; they are intimate conversations with the audience, where he shares his thoughts, dreams, and fears. The film also explores the concept of freedom. While most people see the open sea as a symbol of freedom and adventure, for 1900, the ship and the piano are his home. The idea of stepping onto land, into the unknown, fills him with dread. This raises the question: what is true freedom? Is it the freedom to explore and experience new things, or is it the freedom to stay in one's comfort zone and follow one's passions? The film's narrative is intertwined with beautiful cinematography that captures the grandeur of the sea and the intimate moments between 1900 and his friends. The music, composed by Ennio Morricone, complements the visualsand emotional arcs, adding depth and richness to the storytelling. One of the most emotional moments in the film is when 1900 meets a young woman and falls in love with her. Her presence challenges his worldview and makes him question his choices. The music during this sequence is particularly poignant, reflecting the complexity of his emotions and the struggle to reconcile his desires with his fears. The film concludes on a bittersweet note. When the ship is about to be scrapped, 1900 is offered the chance to leave and start a new life on land. But he chooses to stay, saying that "land is the place where everything ends." This choice, perhaps paradoxical, resonates deeply with the theme of the film: the freedom to choose one's own path, even if it leads to isolation and loneliness."The Legend of 1900" is not just a film about music or the sea; it's a film about life, choices, and the pursuit of happiness. It encourages us to question our own definitions of freedom and success and to follow ourpassions, regardless of the consequences. The legacy of 1900 lives on in his music and in the hearts of those who heard him play. And while we may never know what became of him, we can cherish the memory of a man who chose to live his life according to his own tune.。

Only a man like him can dance with the piano in a terrifying storm. Only a man like him can give up desire of reputation and money on the land. Only a man like him... can have such a beautiful story to tell... It is really difficult to imagewhat will happen if 1900 set foot on land ?start an ordinary life and become vulgar ,be absorbed in chasing fame and fortune .no ,we don't want to see that ,so the story just stop here ,even painful and sad .Just let us remember him A man never existed. That I can live by. What I didn't see. In all that sprawling city there was everything except an end. There was no end. What I did not see was where the whole thing came to an end. The end of the world... You get me up on that gangway and you're rolling out in front of me a keyboard of millions of keys, millions and billions of keys that never end. That they never end. That keyboard is infinite. And if that keyboard is infinite, then on that keyboard there is no music you can play. You're sitting on the wrong bench. That's God's piano. How do you choose just one? One woman, one house, one piece of land to call your own, one landscape to look at, one way to die... I was born on this ship, and the world passed me by, but two thousand people at a time. And there were wishes here, but never more than fit between prow and stern. You played out your happiness, but on a piano that was not infinite. I learned to live that way.《海上钢琴师》观后感英文Maybe you will say the legend of 1900 is a literary film without any strange creature or kongfu, but it is truly a great film.No film will attract me from the beginning to the end like the legend of 1900.No film can make me think seriously about the life in the world like this film.In my eyes,I think it is the best film I have ever seen. The greastest success of the film is the shock that it brings to people. As an orphan, the leading role 1900 was left on a piano, then he was adopted by a worker on the boat. He has gone through a happy time with the worker, but the worker is dead when he was eight years old. Then he began to show his unique talent on the piano, everyone who has listened his music on the boat—Virginia was being touch by his skills and his met his only friend—Maxs who was a trumpeter. Not before too long, his talent on piano has been heard by the father of jazz.Konwing the 1900 can mix ten kinds of jazz on his music,he decided to have a duel with 1900 in front of the public on the Virginia, but he was shocked by 1900’s talent and leaving. Then his friend maxs said to him that he should go to the land to play for the public,he believed that the world would be crazy for his music and he will own everything what he wanted, but 1900 never decide to left the boat or even let his music left him as a record heared by the others. On once occasion,he loved a girl who listened his music carefuilly,he decided to left the boat to visit the girl, but he giving up this mind when he saw the street and buildings on the land.In the end,he never left the boat and being blown up with the boat by lots of bomb, even choosing to be dead with the abandoned boat he rufuse to go to the land. What impressed me most was the talking between maxs,Maxs was moved to tears by what he said and I was touched deeply by what he said too.As a person, hedidn’t has a country,he didn’t even have a birth date or a birth date.there are no record on any books. As if he has never exsited .In his words, he didn’t exsit for anyone. The film contain more that I don’t know how to express them .In a word, it absolutely is a excellent film.。

Take the piano.Keys begin. Keys end.You know there are 88 of them. They’re not infinite. You’re infinite. And on those keys, the music that you can make is infinite. So this is the freedom the film wants to tell us.。
