形容词 adj.
定义： 形容词用来修饰名词或代词，表示人或事物的性 质、特征、状态或属性。
形容词在句子中的作用
形容词在句子中可作为定语、表语、同位语、宾语补足语、状 语等；
例：1、She is a bright (定语) girl and she does well in study. 2、The student was absent because he was ill(表语). 3、Mount tai, the famous (同位语) in our country, has been visited by millions of travellers. 4、We should keep our classroom clean(宾语补足语). 5、I went to bed hungry (状语) yesterday.
形容词的比较级和最高级
形容词比较级和最高级的构成 规则变化 (1)单音节形容词，一般直接在词尾加 er和 est , 分 别构成比较级和最高级 tall—taller—tallest small— smaller— smallest long— longer — longest
(2)以 e 结尾的单词直接在词尾接 r 和 st ,分别构成 比较级和最高级 large— larger — largest late — later — latest safe — safer — safest (3) 以辅音字母 + y 结尾的词，先变 y 为 i ,再加 er 和 est 分别构成比较级和最高级 heavy— heavier— heaviest happy — happier —— happiest
