While Lara was confident it was black, Tara was sure it was white. Then, they were asked to exchange(交换)their places. They couldn't believe their eyes. Tara, who insisted it was a white board, saw a black one. Similarly, Lara, who argued the board was black, was shocked to see a white one. They understood that each of them was right in her own view.Most of us are like Lara and Tara. We are right most times, but insist that others are wrong!

Western Table Manners

Dinner usually begins with soup. The largest spoon at your place is the soupspoon. It will be beside your plate at the right­hand side.

The Fish Course

If there is a fish course, i t will probably follow the soup. There may be a special fork for the fish. Often it is smaller.

For the main or meat course, the English use the knife in the right hand to cut, keep the fork in the left hand, and bring the food to the mouth. Bread and Butter

Bread is taken in the fingers and laid on the side plate or the edge of the large plate. Butter is taken from the butter dish with the butter knife.

Leaving the Table

It is impolite for a guest to leave the tab le during a meal.
