Expressing hope

A Have you heard the song “My hope isn’t a dream”?

B Y eah. I love the song which brings me confidence when singing it every time .And I believe that all our dreams can come true if we have courage to pursue them .

A Right. When I was young my father always asked me what I would like to be in the future . And I found it very hard to give a certain reply every time he asked me.

B I think you can choose to be a doctor, to be a teacher , or to be a scientist.

A But d on’t you think many of these answers are perhaps very childish and ridiculous?

B But they are never far away from us. My hope is to be a teacher. So can you tell me a certain reply?

A In fact. I don’t know what I should do in future. Who is able to give a definition to his future ? But I know clearly that those high buildings are based on solid foundation .

B My teacher says that there ’s only one kind of people who are truly successful : those who are brave enough to put up with hardships .I wish you can be more hopeful and pursue your dream step by step.

Ordering a meal at a restaurant

A Hello .this is Economic restaurant. Can I help you ?

B Ok. I want a cup of coke with little ice. And I`d like the seafood and the spaghetti. By the way , What's the soup of the day?.

A: tomatoes soup with eggs. do you want some?.I think it’s very delicious.

B yes, I’d like it.

A What else do you want?. Would you like anything for dessert?

B What do you have for dessert?

A Eeheng, we have ice cream and all kinds of fruit. such as watermelon, apples and strawberry.

B Ok, I like some strawberrys. Herhaps half a kilo.

A What else do you want?

Seeing the doctor

A: He llo Dr.Wang!

B: W hat’t the matter with you?

A: I have been getting headaches almost every night, especially when I were in bed.

B：I am interested in watching TV or other relaxing games.

A：How do you spend your spare time?

B：I usually read some books. I like reading when I was very young.

A And what kind of books are you interested in?

B：My favorite books are those about detectives.

A：Well, those books are really good. I like them too. Do you think you are introverted or extroverted?

B：In fact, I wouldn’t call myself extroverted. Sometime I enjoy being by myself very much. But sometimes, I like sharing activities with others too, especially during these last few years.
