Step I Warming-up & Lead-in
1. Greetings.
2. Sing a song.
3. Show Self-learning tips.
Step II Presentation
1. The teacher shows the Ss a basket of fruits. And take out of the fruits
from the basket in order.
T : What’s this ?
Ss : It’s a peach.
T : How about this?
Ss : It’s a pear.
T : What’s this?
Ss : It’s an orange.
Then take more fruits and show them to the Ss and teach peaches, oranges and pears.
Read after the teacher, and then read in groups.
2. Show the fruits to the students and ask.
Learn the sentence: “Do you like…?”
T : Listen carefully,
“Do you like peaches? ” Yes, I do.
“Do you like oranges? ” No, I don’t.
3. Practice the two sentences in groups.
4. Then change to another fruit: pears. What about pears?
T; What about pears? Do you like pears?
Ss: Yes, I do.
T: We can also say“I like them very much.”
The Ss follow the teacher to read.
T: Let’s have some peaches and pears.
5. Play a game.
Practice the key sentences by asking other classmates.
Step III Practice
1. Read the dialogue in pairs.
1.Show time. ( Work in pairs and act the dialogue out. )
Step IV Consolidation
1. Talk about other fruits in groups.
2. Come to the platform and show your dialogue with your partners. Step V Homework
1. Read the dialogue after class.
2. Practise the dialogue in pairs.
