关于清明节的英语作文(通用十篇)
关于清明节的英语作文(通用十篇)1.关于清明节的英语作文篇一On the Qingming Festival, people have to sweep graves and offer sacrifices, pay tribute to their ancestors, and express their grief. This is not only a major custom of our Chinese nation, but also a common human experience, which is beyond reproach. However, in recent years, there have been more and more famous tombs for tomb sweeping during the Qingming Festival in some places, and the atmosphere has become increasingly chaotic, making tomb sweeping more “flavorful”. Expanding graves, burning paper, and setting off firecrackers are traditional sacrificial ceremonies that embody China’s worldview and have a strong cultural foundation. Burning paper money to give ancestors flowers during the Qingming Festival can only be said to be a wish and a hope, leaving behind only the environmental pollution caused by smoke, fire, and garbage; The haze allows more people to see the other side of the firecrackers; The reduction of arable land is driving the transformation of funeral methods... Nowadays, times are different, so it is advisable toadopt civilized, low-carbon, and environmentally friendly methods to sweep graves.During the Qingming Festival, when spring is warm and flowers bloom, birds sing and flowers are fragrant, it is a good time for spring outings. The original meaning of Qingming Festival is to express gratitude and respect for family members. The form can be different, but the connotation remains unchanged. Some families simply walk nearby, ride a bicycle far away, bring a bouquet of flowers, and offer them to their old friends; Some families take advantage of soil cultivation to plant one or several trees next to their graves; Some people offer fresh and natural rituals such as Weibo worship and time-space email, which are in line with the new trends of the times and also in line with the new requirements of society. As long as the sincere feelings of remembering ancestors and respecting the elderly and filial piety are present, flowers can replace paper money, music can replace firecrackers, and online remote visits can replace the fatigue of traveling. This not only solemnly and frugally, but also greening the environment. Qingming Festival can bring more clarity to the environment andsoul, enjoying a richer connotation. Qingming Festival has become more “clear”, why not do it?2.关于清明节的英语作文篇二”During the Qingming Festival, it rains heavily, and pedestrians on the road feel like they are losing their souls.” This poem is used to describe how aptly my current mood is. I had an extraordinary Qingming Festival because two days before it, my lovely old grandmother passed away. Thinking of my grandfather who passed away three days after Qingming Festival seven years ago, Qingming Festival is a sad day for me.Because the day my grandmother passed away was on Wednesday, I still have to go to school. Thinking about my grandmother’s kindness to me before, now that I can’t even accompany her on the last journey, my heart breaks down, tears fill my eyes, and scenes of the past come to mind.Previously, my parents, grandparents, and I would go back to visit our grandmother every Sunday. Every time the old lady sees me coming back, she would happily pat my shoulder and kindly say to me, “Yuyan, you’re coming back to see me. I miss you so much. Come on, I’ll give you some snacks.”So I helped the limping old ladyinto the room. The old lady sat on the bedside, took out a large handful of snacks from the cabinet and stuffed them into my hand; After the old lady finished her meal, I helped her back to her computer desk and opened her favorite card game. The old lady would always praise me heavily, saying, “Oh, look at my grandson, how well behaved!”; Every time the old lady is tormented by illness and unhappy, she always shows a happy smile when she sees me and says, “You are my pistachio.”; My aunt and grandmother, who were far away in Canada during the Spring Festival, rushed back to celebrate the Chinese New Year together with five small families. The old lady was so excited... Now that the old lady has passed away, all of this can only be recalled and cannot be done because the old lady has passed away, and it will be difficult for this big family to reunite again in the future. Thinking of this, I have tears streaming down my face. Grandma, if you guys were still here, how great it would be!I am very sad about this Qingming Festival because both my grandmother and grandfather have passed away. Perhaps my grandmother feels that my grandfather is too lonely in heaven alone, or maybe there is no pain inheaven. May my grandmother have a good journey.3.关于清明节的英语作文篇三”During the Qingming Festival, it rains heavily, and pedestrians on the road feel like they have lost their souls.” In the blink of an eye, another Qingming Festival has arrived. On this sacred day, we come to the Martyrs Cemetery with great reverence, paying tribute to the heroic souls of the martyrs and remembering their great achievements.Once upon a time, in the long years of revolutionary struggle, for the liberation of the nation and the happiness of the people, they scattered their blood on the land of their hometowns and foreign lands. Some of them have left their names for eternity, while others do not even know their names. But they all came together for a common goal, which is to strive for the communist cause for life. For the sake of revolution, the martyrs sacrificed their lives and shed their blood, one after another, willing to die rather than surrender in front of the enemy, displaying a fearless heroic spirit and setting a glorious example for us future generations. They are the pride and glory of our motherland. When I was a child, my mother and teacher often said that the red scarves on our chests were dyed red withthe blood of revolutionary martyrs. At that time, we didn’t quite understand its meaning. Now, as we grow up, we gradually understand that it is the martyrs who have exchanged their blood and lives for our happy life, and for today’s peace and tranquility. We are able to learn happily and grow healthily in a comfortable environment. Although the era of smoke and war is far away from us, we may not be able to appreciate the hardships of that time, but we have understood that happiness is not easy to come by. The red scarf is not only a corner of the national flag, but also the sweat and blood of our ancestors. Facing the red scarf, as the successors of the new century, we should inherit the fine traditions of our revolutionary predecessors, start from small things, follow the footsteps of revolutionary martyrs, work hard to learn, and strive for the cause of communism to the end.Classmates, let’s sing praises to them and remember them during the Qingming Festival!4.关于清明节的英语作文篇四During the Qingming Festival, it rains heavily, and pedestrians on the road are about to lose their souls. Every day around April 5th in the Gregorian calendar, the sky is shrouded inlayers of gray mist. In the drizzle, people come and go, and everyone crowded into small shops to buy paper money and offerings for tomb sweeping and ancestor worship. On this day, before the rain started, my father and I brought incense, carried hoes, and rushed to the cemetery to mourn and express our longing. When I arrived at the cemetery, I took the hoe and asked in confusion, “What am I doing with a hoe?” My father touched my head and said, “This hoe is used for weeding.” I nodded and began to work hard to weed. I hoe left and right for a while, busy and busy. Dad squatted in front of the tomb, focused on folding paper. In the blink of an eye, an hour had passed and the weeds were finally cleaned up by me. My dad handed me some paper money, and I looked at him curiously and asked, “What is this?”“This is the money of the underworld. Take the money of the underworld and burn it, and our ancestors will not worry about having no money underground.”I suddenly realized and started burning the money with my dad. Then, we respectfully kowtowed our heads three times in front of our ancestors’tombstones, and then went home to eat. When I got home, I saw Qingming fruit like jade. The food cooked by grandma has been eaten, and there are also many different flavors. I ate Qingming fruit with radish filling, bean paste filling, and vegetable meat filling, and the taste was all amazing! After finishing the meal, the sky started to drizzle like a cow’s hair. Looking at the misty and misty drizzle, I feel a thousand emotions in my heart.I don’t know if this drifting and scattered drizzle represents whether the heavens are also moved by the true feelings of humanity. But what I am certain of is that this clear rain is mixed with people’s endless sorrow, blending with people’s eternal nostalgia.5.关于清明节的英语作文篇五”During the Qingming Festival, it rains heavily, and pedestrians on the road are about to lose their souls.” As the first poem by Yu Huxiao echoes in our ears, the Qingming Festival has quietly arrived by our side.Today is April 5th, Qingming Festival, and the main activity of Qingming Festival is tomb sweeping. It is the living who clean the graves of their deceased loved ones, burn incense and paper money in front of the graves, and express their family’s nostalgia for them.Today is also the day for my family to pay respects to our ancestors. Early in the morning, under my father’s guidance, we set off towards his hometown. Dad drove quickly to the destination, locked the car, and we started walking towards the graves of our grandparents. Because it was in the countryside, the road was made of mud, and my whole body was covered in mud. However, the scenery there was still very beautiful. Looking around, the rapeseed flowers seemed like a yellow flower sea, and we couldn’t see the edge at a glance. Beside the flowers, we could also hear the buzzing sound of bees, the sound of flowing water, and the chirping of birdsAfter a short journey, we arrived at the tomb of our grandparents. There were two big trees in front of the tomb, and there were some weeds under them. Last year, I seemed to have seen my father clean up these weeds. How could there be so many weeds again? At this moment, a poem suddenly came to my mind: “Wildfire cannot burn out, spring breeze blows again.”. The vitality of weeds is that in just one year, those weeds have covered the entire cemetery, so Dad took out a knife to cut the grass. I also picked up a knife andforcefully chopped towards the weeds. But I didn’t cut down the wild grass, instead my hands were bleeding from the weeds. My mother saw it and quickly came over to teach me how to cut grass. She said to me, “To cut grass, you must first grab the grass and then use a knife to cut it hard. Only then can you cut the grass.”.So, I followed the method taught by my mother and as expected, I cut off all the weeds. With the efforts of my father and I, we finally cut all the weeds. I also cleaned up the weeds in front of the tomb with my dad, respectfully placed flowers, knocked a few heads, and burned a lot of paper money. Finally, my parents andI returned home.6.关于清明节的英语作文篇六Today is Qingming Festival, and the rain is drizzling down. I followed my parents back to my hometown, and the road seemed quite crowded. Everyone rushed to their hometown to pay respects to their ancestors. By the time we arrived at our hometown, all our relatives had already arrived. It’s the first time I’ve seen so many people gathering at my grandparents’house, it’s even more lively than the Chinese New Year. After we had lunch, everyone set off from home whenthe rain stopped and the sun came out. We took what our grandmother had already prepared and went up the mountain together to worship our ancestors. Along the way, rapeseed flowers bloomed in the fields, and bees buzzed. From afar, large patches of rapeseed flowers shone like golden silk under the sunlight. Despite the light rain, it still gives people a strong sense of spring. There are many people on the mountain worshipping their ancestors, and from time to time, the sound of firecrackers can be heard. Grandparents said, “We must first pay homage to the tomb of our ancestors.”Ancestral ancestors hold a special position in the hearts of the whole family, and the annual worship begins here. I saw my uncles sweeping away fallen leaves, cutting off miscellaneous branches, placing candies and pastries in front of the grave, pouring wine into bowls, and slowly sprinkling it on the ground. My grandmother murmured, praying for the blessings of our ancestors. At the grave, everyone kneels down in order of seniority and seniority. Burn paper money, light firecrackers, and the rumbling sound of firecrackers resounds through the silent mountains.Grandpa said, “Ancestor worship is to let us payhomage to our ancestors, and also to let us know that we cannot forget our roots, especially young people living in affluent conditions.”7.关于清明节的英语作文篇七During the Qingming Festival, it rains heavily and pedestrians on the road feel like losing their souls. Every time this time, sweeping graves, hiking, and making Qingming cakes are essential traditional customs. Our group faced the warm spring breeze and experienced the activity of picking and making sponge cabbage cakes together. We got into Guo’s mother’s car and set off. Along the way, we laughed and made fun of each other. Unconsciously, they arrived at their destination. I got off the car, hey, where is this? Is this the destination? My mother told me, “Yes, our destination is Yongjia. Let’s go pick some spinach.” Oh, it turned out like this. I picked a strange green grass from a nearby field and said, “Is this spinach?”My mother replied, “Oh, how could this be spinach? It doesn’t grow in such a place!” We were going up the mountain, fighting and making noise all the way. The quiet Luodong Village was enveloped in waves of laughter and joy.As I walked, a thicket of trees appeared in frontof me, and I dared not enter. I stopped and blocked the intersection. Just then, my roller coaster arrived, hehe, that was Mao Xingwei! I rested my hands on his shoulders, with him at the front and me at the back, following his footsteps and weaving through the trees. The adults picked a cotton plant to show us. It turned out that there were yellow flowers in the middle of the cotton plant, and there were fine hairs on the three layers of leaves. We also went to pick cotton vegetables just like that. Although we are tired, we are very happy. After picking about two to three o’clock, we were about to get on the car and reluctantly left Yongjia. But where are we going next? Originally, I was going to school to make cotton pancakes. When we arrived at school, we started doing it ourselves. First, wash the cotton and vegetables clean, then put them in a juicer to squeeze them into juice. Then, pour the juice into a blender and mix it with flour. During this process, adults are responsible for stir frying the filling. The shredded radish, meat, and dried tofu in the pot become more and more fragrant, making us drool. Yilei’s mother divided the stirred cotton cabbage dough into small pieces and put them in a pile, and we started making cotton cabbage cakes. First, press a hole in the middle of the skin and add delicious filling, then carefully knead the sponge cake into a round shape. 清明节英语作文(精选十篇)
清明节英语作文(精选十篇)1.清明节英语作文篇一Qingming Festival is one of the traditional folk festivals in China. Every Qingming Festival, everyone goes to sweep graves to show their remembrance of the deceased.I was supposed to go grave sweeping this year, But since I am not in my hometown, I cannot go to pay respects to my ancestors, and I am very disappointed about this. However, I still found a way to celebrate a happy Qingming Festival, so I invited my classmates to go out and play together. We arrived at the 41 Park, playing with this, that, and running to the pond to see the fish. After a while, I sat in the pavilion and sang.I had a lot of fun playing. Although these are fun, they are not as fun as my favorite swing in the park yet. But the swing has always been occupied by others, and my eyes have been fixed on the person on the swing. The opportunity came, and the person on the swing was about to leave. I quickly flew over and grabbed the swing. Then call your classmates over to play together! We swing up and down, like flying in the sky, it’s so fun.Although I couldn’t sweep the tomb, I am still very happy!2.清明节英语作文篇二During the Qingming Festival, it rained heavily. In the morning, it was still drizzling, but when we arrived at Wenling Zeguo, the rain stopped. As soon as I got off the car, I saw my aunt riding a small bicycle in the yard, which I had never seen before, spinning around. It has no handles, only a very low seat in the middle, with two small wheels in the front and a large wheel in the back. Later, I found out that this is called a “big and small tricycle.”. With the help of my father, I carefully got on the unicycle, and my father helped me around from behind. Later, while my father was not paying attention, I was about to ride, but my center of gravity was unstable and I fell off my back. But when I thought of my father often saying, “Persistence is victory,”I gritted my teeth, endured the pain, and stood up again to continue riding. I am becoming more and more proficient in riding, and I don’t even know when my father’s hand was released.I smiled happily, and my father also looked at me andsmiled. Although my knee still feels a slight pain, my heart is filled with joy. Because not only did I learn to ride a tricycle, but I also understood a truth: “No matter what you do, as long as you persist, you can do it well!”3.清明节英语作文篇三On the occasion of the Qingming Festival, my family and I arrived at the Martyrs Cemetery holding flowers. Walking to the grave of the martyrs, we offer flowers and stand in silence, expressing our infinite grief and nostalgia for the martyrs, and our utmost respect for their noble sentiments.Next, we will enjoy the relief sculpture. The lifelike scene showed the soldiers with expressions of fighting against the enemy to the end on their faces, holding steel knives and guns. The soldiers were brave, powerful, and unstoppable in their movements. But this relief is not just a sculpture, but a display of the spirit of soldiers, not afraid of fatigue or hardship, fighting against the enemy to the end for the interests of the motherland and the people, and even their own lives can be omitted. Their selfless dedication moved me deeply. They are like the towering trees in the Martyrs Cemetery. These trees symbolize every soldier here, demonstrating their fearless and indomitable spirit. No matter how cold and hot they experience, wind and rain, they still stand still, no one can shake their strong will. They are great and admirable.4.清明节英语作文篇四The Qingming Festival dates back to the Zhou Dynasty and has a history of over 2500 years. Qingming is an important solar term at the beginning. As soon as Qingming arrives, the temperature rises, making it a good time for spring plowing and sowing. In the past, there were proverbs such as “planting melons and beans before and after Qingming”and “planting trees and afforestation is better than Qingming”.There are many customs during the Qingming Festival, including tomb sweeping: Tomb sweeping during the Qingming Festival is a way of showing respect to ancestors. According to long-standing customs, in the past, most people in Beijing would sweep tombs during the Qingming Festival, but the ritual was not held on the day of the festival, but on the “single”day near the Qingming Festival. Legend has it that only monks worship and sweep tombs on Qingming Day. There is alsothe custom of planting willows: because there is an ancient saying that goes, “If you have the heart to plant flowers, you cannot plant them, but if you have no heart to plant willows, they will provide shade.”It is said that the custom of planting willows is to commemorate the Shennong family. In some places, people plant willow branches under the eaves to forecast the weather. In addition to these customs, there are many other customs during the Qingming Festival.Qingming Festival is not only a traditional festival, but also a long-standing “living”cultural heritage of our Chinese nation. “During the Qingming Festival, rain falls one after another, and pedestrians on the road are about to lose their souls...”5.清明节英语作文篇五The annual Qingming Festival in spring has arrived. Because it was spring, the grass turned green and the apricot blossoms bloomed. My mother and I decided to go for a spring outing. My mother and I walked towards Galaxy Park together. After arriving at Galaxy Park, the beautiful scenery of spring deeply attracted us. As we strolled, we enjoyed the lush spring scenery of Galaxy Park.At this moment, a fragrance of apricot blossoms came towards me, guiding me to the bottom of the apricot blossoms. I looked up and saw that one apricot blossom happened to float above my nose in the gentle breeze. Several trees were full of flowers, and under the trees, there were countless apricot blossoms on the ground. This became an ocean of flowers, and I picked up the apricot blossoms on the ground and waved them in my hand. The apricot blossoms flew down like white butterflies one by one.A gust of spring breeze blew me into the low bushes where I had just spit out my teeth. The bushes were trimmed by the gardener into various shapes, some like small pagodas, some like rectangles, all in various forms.I looked up into the distance again, and the sky was filled with kites of various shapes, some like bears, mine like butterflies, some like phoenixes... Of course, I didn’t want to fall behind, so I quickly took out my eagle kite and flew it.My kite flies high, this is my happiest outing.6.清明节英语作文篇六Today, the weather is sunny and sunny, it’s a good day. I went to the grave with my parents, grandparents, uncles, aunts, aunts, and brothers. On the way to the grave, I saw scalpers eating green grass in the fields, and also saw a patch of golden rapeseed flowers. When we arrived at the mountain, Grandpa placed the worshipped items on the ground in front of the tomb, lighting candles and incense. I saw many red “Du Juan flowers” on the mountain, as if waving to us with a smile. I suggested that everyone go to the mountain together to pick some flowers for our ancestors. I also saw the pointed heads of bamboo shoots protruding from the ground. Then my brothers and I went to pick flowers, and my dad was responsible for digging bamboo shoots.I quickly ran ahead, followed closely by my brothers. In no time, we picked a lot of flowers and my dad also dug some bamboo shoots. I planted the flowers on the grave, and then we paid respects to our ancestors, ate some food, and went to the river to float together. Unconsciously, it was getting dark soon. The day passed so quickly that I couldn’t bear to go home. The oil picking flowers are waving and nodding to us, while the pink flowers on the roadside... Butterflies keep dancing in the flowers, and groups of bees keep singing in the flowers, as if taking you into the fairy world. When we arrived at our grandparents’grave, we divided our work to sweep the grave. Dad hung Qingming paper and colorful strips of paper decorated the cemetery beautifully. Mom, sister, and I burned incense paper, while my grandfather weeded and cleaned the cemetery clean. Streams of clear smoke drifted into the sky. After finishing our work, we kowtowed and made wishes one by one. I will send a lollipop to my grandparents. It’s time to set off the salute gun and firecrackers. Dad used a lighter and the salute gun shot straight into the sky, exploding with a loud bang. The deafening sound of firecrackers shattered thetranquility of the mountains and forests. The screening is over, and my mother, father, grandfather, and sister and I are on our way back.8.清明节英语作文篇八Every Qingming Festival, everyone goes to sweep the graves of their ancestors and let them rest in peace. Our family is going to sweep the graves of Grandpa, Atai, and Atai Gong. Uncle will come with us to sweep the tombs of Atai and Atai Gong. Let’s go to visit the graves of Atai and Atai Gong first. On the mountain, there were crowds of people pushing and rushing to finish sweeping the tomb and go home to rest. Of course, we were no exception and went up the mountain. Our place is quite high and we are almost at the top of the mountain. At first glance, we feel a bit scared. Let’s fold paper money first, there’s plenty of paper money. It folds very thick and takes a long time to fold, so it’s faster because we have more people. After folding, we burned the paper money. Next, let’s order some incense and say goodbye. Please use branches to clean up the garbage next to the tomb. Later on, someone will come over to sing somethingfor us, of course, it’s not just a free song that requires payment. It seems that the song is about encouraging us to study well and become officials in the future. After sweeping, Atai and Atai Gong are going to sweep Grandpa, but Grandpa is on another mountain different from here. We still have to drive there.During the Qingming Festival, Madam’s tomb sweeping is an annual event, but there are still many other activities. Be sure to come.9.清明节英语作文篇九In the blink of an eye, the annual Qingming Festival, which falls on April 5th, has arrived again.Today, my parents took me up the mountain to pay respects to my grandfather. In no time, we arrived at my grandfather’s grave. I only saw tall wild grass growing in front of the tomb. Mom quickly picked up a hoe to hoe the grass. Seeing Dad’s diligent efforts in weeding, it can be seen how much Mom cares about her deceased grandfather! After hoeing the grass, my mother placed her hand on my shoulder and said, “Hang, come over and pay homage to my grandfather. Let me express my wishes together.”I arrived at the tomb, knelt downon both legs, and put my hands together, saying, “Grandpa, although you have been dead for many years, we still care about you. Grandma is very lonely and bored at home alone.”. But rest assured, we will take good care of our mother-in-law and make sure she eats, dresses, sleeps well, and even tells stories and jokes to make her happy! Accompanying her through a happy old age. Grandpa, you are the spirit of heaven. Please bless our whole family with peace, happiness, and happiness! You rest in peace! “Then, we lit incense and candles, hung paper money, and then Dad started setting off firecrackers... We left reluctantly.I will always remember this beautiful Qingming Festival!10.清明节英语作文篇十The Qingming Festival has a history of over two thousand years. In ancient times, it was also known as the Spring Festival, March Festival, Ancestral Worship Festival, and Tomb Sweeping Festival.During the Qingming Festival, it rained heavily. This morning, our whole family braved the drizzle to visit our great grandfather’s grave. The fine rain hit my face and felt a hint of coolness. After crossing theroad and walking on a rugged mountain road, passing through a lush forest, the leaves became even more delicate under the washing of the rain. The azaleas in the mountains are blooming brightly, and a thin layer of mist covers the halfway up the mountain, with a hint of mystery. There is a tall pine tree on the mountain, standing tall in the middle of the mountain, like a guard guarding the mountain. In no time, we arrived at our great grandfather’s grave. Grandma took out a towel and wiped the tombstone, while Grandpa pulled out the weeds one by one in front of the grave. My brother and I picked two of the most vibrant Yingshan Red and planted them in front of the grave. We placed fruits and bowed deeply to our great grandfather three times, expressing our deep longing for him. Grandma said, “My great grandfather will bless us with health and safety.”Qingming Festival is not only a vibrant festival, but also a festival full of sadness.。

向外国朋友介绍清明节的英语作文全文共6篇示例,供读者参考篇1Qingming Festival - A Time to RememberHi there! My name is Xiaoming and I'm going to tell you all about one of my favorite holidays in China - the Qingming Festival. It's a really special day when we get to honor our ancestors and loved ones who have passed away. The Qingming Festival happens every year on the 15th day after the Spring Equinox, which usually falls sometime in early April. This year, it was on April 5th. The name "Qingming" literally means "clear and bright" which refers to the nice spring weather we often get around this time of year. There are a lot of interesting traditions and activities that take place during the Qingming Festival. One of the main things we do is visit the graves of our ancestors and relatives who are no longer with us. My whole family goes together to pay our respects at the cemetery. We clean off the gravestones and pull any weeds or overgrown plants around the burial sites to tidythem up. Then we leave offerings like fresh flowers, fruit, incense, and food items that our relatives enjoyed when they were alive. My grandma always cooks some of my grandpa's favorite dishes like braised pork belly and stir-fried vegetables, and we'll leave portions on his gravesite along with some of his favorite snacks. We also burn incense and special paper offerings called "joss paper." These are intricately designed papers that we burn to send to our ancestors in the afterlife, kind of like sending them gifts. Sometimes the joss papers are shaped like cool things like houses, cars, or even iPads! While we're at the cemetery, we also sweep the ground around the graves to make sure everything looks nice and organized. It's a way to show our love and respect for our ancestors. My parents always tell me that it's important to remember where we came from and honor those who came before us.Another fun Qingming tradition is flying kites! In many parts of China, people will gather in parks or open fields on Qingming and fly colorful kites of all shapes and sizes. There are even kite flying competitions where people try fancy kite acrobatics and stunts. I'm not very good at kite flying myself, but I love watching the beautiful kites soar and dance in the spring breeze. Some other popular Qingming activities include taking nature walks, having outdoor picnics, and planting trees or flowers. My class at school did a little tree planting ceremony in our community garden. I got to put a tiny little seedling in the ground, and it will be really cool to see it grow big and tall over the years!I also learned that during the Qingming Festival, a lot of families will go out to the countryside and visit their ancestors' hometowns or villages. There, they pay respect at the family shrines and walk through the fields their ancestors used to farm long ago. Some people even join big festive gatherings with singing, dancing, and plays about historical events or legends. One of my favorite things to eat during Qingming are those yummy green snacks called "qingtuan." They are sweet rice balls stuffed with a sweet green vegetable paste made from greens like mugwort or bamboo leaves. The green color is supposed to represent the green plants and trees that start growing again in spring after winter. Qingtuan taste so good, especially with a cup of hot tea!Overall, the Qingming Festival is a really meaningful and fun time in China. It's all about spending quality time with family, honoring our heritage and ancestors, and welcoming the warmspring season. I feel very lucky to be able to take part in these special traditions every year. They remind me of how important it is to appreciate nature, respect my elders, and never forget my roots.Well, that's the scoop on Qingming Festival! I hope you enjoyed learning about this important Chinese holiday. Let me know if you have any other questions - I'm always happy to share more about my amazing culture and customs!篇2Qingming Festival - A Special Time to RememberHi there! It usually takes place on April 4th, 5th or 6th every year, depending on the lunar calendar. This festival has been celebrated for over 2,500 years! It started way back during the Spring and Autumn Period (771-476 BC). Isn't that amazing? The name "Qingming" has a beautiful meaning. "Qing" means "clear" or "pure", and "ming" means "bright". So together, Qingming means "clear and bright". The festival gets its name because it marks the time of year when the weather becomes warmer and brighter after the cold winter. But the Qingming Festival isn't just about nice spring weather. It's a very special day when we honor and remember our ancestors and loved ones who have passed away. I love spending time in nature and learning about my family history. My grandpa always tells me fascinating stories about our ancestors when we visit their graves. It makes me feel so connected to them, even though I never met them.Another fun tradition during Qingming is flying kites! Kite flying is thought to help prevent illness and bad luck. My name is Xiaoming, and I'm really excited to tell you all about one of my favorite Chinese traditional festivals –the Qingming Festival, also known as Tomb Sweeping Day. It's a day when we remember and honor our ancestors who have passed away.Qingming Festival usually falls around early April each year, when the weather is nice and warm, and the trees and flowers are starting to bloom. It's a time of renewal and rebirth in nature, which makes it a perfect occasion to visit the graves of our loved ones and pay our respects. One of the main traditions of Qingming Festival is sweeping the tombs and graves of our ancestors. We clean up the area around the grave, remove any weeds or debris, and even repaint or repair the tombstones if needed. It's a way to show our respect and gratitude to our ancestors, and to make sure their resting places are well-maintained and cared for.Another important tradition is offering sacrifices and burning incense at the graves. We bring food, flowers, and other offerings to the grave site, and burn incense sticks as a symbol of our respect and remembrance. Some families even prepare elaborate feasts and place the food on the grave, believing that the spirits of their ancestors can enjoy the offerings. One of my favorite parts of Qingming Festival is flying kites! It's a popular activity during this time, and you'll see children (and even some adults!) running around with colorful kites soaring high in the sky. Kite flying is believed to help guide the spirits of our ancestors back to the afterlife, and it's also just a lot of fun!Of course, Qingming Festival is also a time for family reunions and gatherings. Many people take the opportunity to visit their hometowns and spend time with their extended families. We catch up with each other, share stories about our ancestors, and enjoy delicious traditional meals together. One dish that's often served during Qingming Festival is called "qingtuan." It's a small, round dumpling made with green glutinous rice and filled with sweet or savory fillings. The green color of the qingtuan is meant to represent the vibrant green hues of spring, symbolizing new life and growth.Another popular activity during Qingming Festival is going on nature walks or hikes. Since the weather is usually pleasant during this time of year, many families like to spend time outdoors, appreciating the beauty of nature and the changing seasons. But Qingming Festival isn't just about traditions and activities – it's also a time for reflection and remembrance. We take this opportunity to think about the legacies and stories of our ancestors, and to pass down their wisdom and values to the younger generations.I remember my grandfather telling me stories about his own grandparents, and how they worked hard on the farm to provide for their family. He always emphasized the importance of hard work, perseverance, and taking care of our loved ones. These are values that have been passed down through generations in my family, and Qingming Festival is a time for us to honor and continue that legacy.Overall, Qingming Festival is a special and meaningful occasion for Chinese people like me. It's a time to honor our ancestors, spend quality time with family, and appreciate the beauty of nature and the changing seasons. It's a celebration oflife, death, and the continuity of our family legacies and traditions.I hope this essay has given you a better understanding of Qingming Festival and its significance in Chinese culture. I know that might sound a little strange or sad, but it's actually a really nice holiday filled with meaning and fun activities.Let me start by telling you about the history behind Qingming Festival. A long, long time ago, there was a famous prince named Chong'er. He loved his wife so much that after she died, he brought willow branches to her grave and cried. The willow branches took root and grew into a willow tree, shading her grave. Other people were so touched by Chong'er's love for his wife that they started visiting graves during that time of year too. And that's how the tradition began!Nowadays, Qingming Festival is a national holiday in China that lasts for three days. A few days before the festival starts, my family and I clean up the graves of our grandparents andgreat-grandparents. We pull out any weeds, sweep away fallen leaves, and place fresh flowers on the graves. It's our way of honoring their memory and showing that we haven't forgotten them.On the day of Qingming Festival itself, my whole family goes to the cemetery together. We burn incense and special paper offerings called "joss paper" at the graves. The burning papers are meant to send money and goods to our ancestors in the afterlife. It might seem odd, but it's just our way of making sure they have everything they need. We also leave out their favorite foods like fruits, vegetables, and even meat dishes! While we're at the cemetery, my grandparents always tell me stories about our ancestors and what kind of people they were. I love hearing about their lives and all the things they accomplished. It makes me feel connected to my family history in a special way.But Qingming Festival isn't just about being at the cemetery. We also do a lot of fun outdoor activities as a family. One of my favorite traditions is flying kites! Kite flying is huge duringQingming because the wind is usually perfect for it. My dad is an expert at making kites and he teaches me all his tricks. We have kite flying competitions with other families to see whose kite can fly the highest or stay up the longest. It's so much fun!Another popular Qingming activity is taking a spring outing. This usually means going on a picnic or hike in the countryside and enjoying the fresh blooming flowers. My friends and I love playing outside and looking for signs of spring like baby animals. The weather is amazing during Qingming – not too hot and not too cold. Just perfect for being outdoors! We also eat lots of special foods during the festival. One of the most popular is called qingtuan, which are sweet green rice balls stuffed with sweet or salty fillings. My favorite kind has a sweet red bean paste inside. So delicious! We also eat eggs, because eggs symbolize birth and new life. Sometimes my mom will dye the eggs in bright colors or etch pretty designs on them with a needle.I think one of the coolest Qingming traditions has to be the willow branches though. Just like Prince Chong'er long ago, people place willow branches on graves to honor the dead. The willow tree is so important during this festival because it's one of the first trees to turn green in the spring. It represents therenewal of life that comes after the cold winter. Isn't that just a lovely meaning?Overall, Qingming Festival celebrates the arrival of spring, spending time with family, and remembering those who came before us. I love how it brings my whole family together to clean the graves, tell stories, enjoy nature, and have fun with kites and delicious food. It makes me feel so connected to my ancestors and Chinese culture. That's the story behind this special Chinese holiday! I hope you enjoyed learning about the fascinating history and traditions of Qingming Festival. Even though some parts might seem a little strange at first, I think the meanings and values behind them are really beautiful. Family, remembrance, rebirth, and enjoying the outdoors – what's not to love? I can't wait to celebrate Qingming again next year!篇6Qingming Festival: A Special Chinese HolidayHi everyone! My name is Lily and I'm a 4th grader in China. Today I want to tell you all about one of my favorite holidays - the Qingming Festival! It's a really cool celebration that happens every year. Let me explain what it's all about. The Qingming Festival goes way back to ancient China, over 2,500 years ago! It's also called Tomb Sweeping Day. The name comes from the tradition of visiting and cleaning the graves of our ancestors. We show respect to those who came before us.The festival always falls sometime in early April. The exact date changes every year based on the lunar calendar. This year, Qingming Festival was on April 5th. No matter what day it lands on, we get a nice 3-day weekend off from school! Yay!So what sorts of things do Chinese families do for Qingming Festival? Well, the biggest tradition is visiting cemeteries or graveyards. We tidy up the areas around our relatives' graves by sweeping away dirt, pulling weeds, and leaving fresh flowers. Sometimes we even burn special paper money and items as offerings. My grandparents are buried in a small cemetery just outside our village. Every Qingming, my parents, aunts, uncles and cousins all gather there. The grown-ups do the cleaning while us kids play among the gravestones. I don't really understand the importance of it yet, but I know it means a lot to my family.Another big part of the festival is going on outings and picnics! With the nice spring weather, it's the perfect time foroutdoor activities. A lot of people go hiking or fly kites. Some folks take a day trip to parks or scenic areas. My favorite Qingming activity is the willow branch outing. We pick bundles of fresh willow branches that have sprouted bright green leaves. Then we head out to a riverbank or open field for a picnic. The willow branches symbolize a fresh start and the renewal of life in spring. While we're outdoors, it's also really fun to play games like tug-of-war or kick a shuttlecock around. Vendors set up stalls selling holiday treats like sweet cakes and candies. I love getting my hands on those sweets!Speaking of food, there are also some special dishes we eat during Qingming Festival. Many families make green rice balls, which are chewy dumplings made of sweet rice and stuffed with bamboo shoots or other fillings. The green color represents spring's fresh new growth. We also have a tradition of eating cold food on Qingming. Not because the food is literally cold, but because the dishes are not cooked over a flame. So things like century eggs, marinated beef, smoked bamboo shoots and other preserved foods. The origins of this go back to ancient times when people did notwant to start accidental fires and disturb the spirits of their ancestors.I think my favorite part is just having the whole extended family come together to celebrate. We sit around chatting, reminiscing about relatives who have passed on, and spending quality time enjoying each other's company. It's a nice tradition that brings us closer. In the evening, some places do fireworks or burn willow branches to celebrate. We sing traditional songs, play games, and have a ton of fun. When it's time to go home, I'm always a little sad as I've had such a blast! So that's the scoop on the Qingming Festival celebration in China! It's a holiday that combines somber remembrance of ancestors with joyous celebration of spring's renewal. Grave sweeping, spring outings, delicious foods and family time - what's not to love? I look forward to it every single year.I hope you enjoyed learning about this special Chinese tradition! Even though you may not celebrate Qingming where you live, I'm sure your culture has its own unique holidays and ways of honoring loved ones too. Observing our history and spending time with family are so important.Well, I've gone on long enough! Thanks for reading about one of my favorite Chinese festivals. I'd better get going, but let me know if you have any other questions. Happy Qingming!。

Origin
The Tomb-Sweeping Day originated from Hanshi Day (寒食节), a memorial day for Jie Zitui (介子推),who died in 636 BC in the Spring and Autumn Period.
It is said that Jie saved the starving Duke Wen of Jin(晋文公)’s life by serving a piece of his own leg. However, When the Wen succeeded in becoming the ruler, Jie declined his invitation, preferring to lead a hermit's life with his mother in the mountains.
Because Jie Zitui died embracing a willow tree, the willow is believed to have powers against evil.
