Unit 1 How tall are you?
C Revision(复习课)
一、教学目标:
根据教材的基本特点以及教学内容,将教学目标确定为:
1.知识与技能目标:
①能够听、说、认读本单元的主要单词:older, younger, taller, shorter, longer, smaller, bigger, thinner, heavier, stronger. 并掌握形容词比较级的变化规则。
②能运用句型 How old…? How tall…? How heavy…? What size…?来对同学的年龄、身高、体重和鞋子尺码进行问答,并能运用“主语+be动词+形容词比较级+than+比较对象”这一基本句型对其进行比较。
2.过程方法目标:
通过播放本单元英文歌曲“My small cat”,自然引入到“形容词比较级”这一话题,既活跃了课堂气氛,又促进学生对本节课新知识的学习;
通过展示我们熟悉的图片,来复习总结形容词比较级,更直观、形象,易于理解;
通过联系生活实际,让学生说说如何做到正确比较,有利于孩子养成良好生活、学习习惯。
通过会话练习,与同桌合作比较,将所学的语言运用到真实的情景中,培养学生合作能力和综合运用语言的能力。
3.情感态度与学习策略:
通过本节课的学习,让学生简单了解人的变化,培养他们用英语表达对父母的爱。
通过活动和练习,加强师生之间、生生之间互动交流,培养学生与人相处、交往能力、合作能力以及养成良好的学习习惯。
二、教学内容
本课主要复习本单元所学形容词比较级单词、四组问句和含有形容词比较级的句子。
学生通过复习,能正确对年龄、身高、体重、鞋子尺码进行问答和比较。
三、学情分析:
小学六年级学生,通过本单元学习,他们已经掌握了一些形容词比较级的词汇如: older, younger, taller, shorter, longer, smaller, bigger, thinner, heavier, stronger.能够用所学的知识对同学进行简单比较,为复习课奠定了基础,并且他们学习英语兴趣浓厚,模仿力强,好奇心强,善于表现自己,因而我注重以学生为主体,激发学生的学习兴趣,引导学生积极参与,注重学生的感知能力培养。
四、教学重、难点分析
1.本课时的教学重点是听、说、认读形容词比较级的相关单词:older, younger, taller, shorter, longer, smaller, bigger, thinner, heavier, stronger.和句型“Where is the…? It′s on the…floor”. How old…? H ow tall…? How h eavy…? What size…?
2.本课时的教学难点是掌握形容词比较级的变化规则,并能运用句型 How old…? How tall…? How heavy…? What size…?来对同学的年龄、身高、体重和鞋子尺码进行问答,并能运用“主语+be动词+形容词比较级+than+比较对象”这一基本句型对其进行比较。
五、教学准备:
教材内容相关的教学课件、录音机、磁带、图片等媒体素材。
六、教学方法:
任务性教学法、情景教学法、小组合作学习、分角色练习
七、教学过程:
Step 1 Preparation
1. Greetings.
2. T introduces himself, and shows a photo to show hobbies.
3. T’s hobby 1: Singing. Enjoy the song. My small cat
Ss sing together with T, and try to find out the words with -er.
(设计意图:通过播放歌曲,自然引入到本单元重点形容词比较级,同时活跃了课堂气氛,激发了学生的学习兴趣.)
Step 2 Presentation
1. T’s hobby 2: Play games. T plays a game with Ss.
Game: Simon says.
Rules: If T says “stand up”, Ss do nothing. If T says “Simon says stand up”, Ss stand up.
If T says “tall”, Ss do nothing. If T says “Simon says tall”, Ss say “taller” and do actions.
2.Review words.
①T shows pictures to show adjective comparatives:
taller, longer, shorter, older
nicer, wider, finer, later
thinner, bigger, hotter, fatter
angrier, funnier, sunnier, happier
②T引导学生对形容词比较级的变化规律进行总结。
1) 一般情况下,直接加-er.
tall – taller long – longer old – older
2) 以不发音的字母e结尾的单词,直接加-r.
nice – nicer fine – finer wide – wider late – later
3) 以一个元音字母和一个辅音字母结尾的重读闭音节单词,双写辅音字母,加er
thin – thinner big – bigger hot - hotter
4) 以“辅音字母+y”结尾的形容词,变y为i,再加er.
angry– angrier funny-funnier windy-windier
(设计意图:对重点单词进行操练,引导学生总结形容词比较级变化规则。
)
③Exercise time
(设计意图:对形容词比较级进行练习。
)
Step 3 Practice
1.Review sentences.
①T’s hobby 3: Asking. T ask some questions. Ss answer.
-How old is Miss White? -She is … ye ars old.
-How tall are you? -I’m … meters.
-How heavy is Jim? -He is … kilograms.
-What size are your shoes? -Size….
T asks, Ss answer. Ss say one by one. Ss compare things with others.
(设计意图:对四组特殊疑问句进行操练,引导学生总结,并引导学生进行比较,复习含有形容词比较级的句子。
)
②Making sentences.
Ss make sentences by pictures. T guides Ss to make a summary.
主语+be动词+-er+than+比较对象
(设计意图:对含有比较级的句子进行操练,引导学生总结,复习含有形容词比较级的句子。
)
③Game: 20s non-stop talking
T guides Ss to talk in 20 seconds in groups. Ss talk about their age, height, weight and shoe size one by one.
(设计意图:对比较级句子进行操练,练习含有形容词比较级的句子。
)
Step 4 Production
1. T’s hobby 4: Reading.
①T: Mr. Shi likes singing, playing games and asking. Here is the fourth hobby of his. He likes reading. Here is a passage for you. Read and tick or cross. While you are reading, please underline key sentences.
②T checks the answer. Ss say T or F, and say the key sentences.
(设计意图:这是对课堂所学知识的延伸,通过阅读,交给孩子阅读技巧,达到了学以致用的目的。
)
Step 5 Progress
1、情感教育:T shows a short movie.
T: When we are growing taller, our parents are growing older. After school, you can say “I love you” to your parents.
(设计意图:通过视频,引导学生思考,教育学生对父母常怀感恩之心。
)
2、Summary总结归纳:
What we have learned this class?
3、家庭作业(Homework): Homework
1.Find some pictures of you and your parents, or your grandparents, then talk about the changes.
2. Write some sentences about your changes.
(作业二选一)
